Typical article - mostly fluff. The (3rd Annual) competition was a lot more than this article would have you believing. One of our own competed, maybe we can persuade him to expound on the interesting parts. Overall it seemed to be a very successful event. I attended the awards banquet and was impressed with the calibre of the competitors. The winners made out like bandits and everybody had something to show for their participation. The sponsor's displays at Sports USA also gave me an opportunity to check out toys. H&K, FN USA, Remington, Leupold, Glock, Eagle, Camelbak, Otis, and of course SureFire all had something interesting. The wife stopped by Thursday and I pointed her to the Leupold rep for my Christmas present (got to love the ones that can take a hint :D ) Peregrino

We stopped in and got to see some of the competition last week when I was back at Bragg. Great stuff...competition brings out the best in A personalities. Yet, despite the competition, the teams were exchanging TTPs and were able to bring that back to their units...making everyone that much more effective.

One of the main purpoaes of the comp is to exchange TTPs across the board. The comp went real well and the list of events was kept secret until the event itself. It forced the competitors to act as if the comp was a mission that they had to be prepared for the unexpected. Events went from snap and movers at night to rapid multiple target engagment at unknown distances. There were stalks, and stress shoots. Another words fun for all.

The man in charge of the comp worked his butt off and he is mentioned in the article. The entire commitee was involved n deciding the final list of events and I'm glad it went well.

Peregino - I believe the paper was placed under restictions on what they could report.

Me, I was on leave doing honey dos and just finished painting the bedroom. :boohoo :(
