Police Hit Man in Genitals With Taser

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. - Police accidentally hit a naked man in the genitals with a Taser after he was caught breaking windows and asking women to touch him, authorities said.

Jeremy J. Miljour, 26, tried to run away when sheriff's deputies approached so one of them shot their Taser, said Cpl. Matt Chitwood. But one of the gun's prongs accidentally hit Miljour's genitals and got stuck, Chitwood said.

"The Taser is relatively accurate, but when someone is moving like that, it doesn't matter if you have a Taser, or a pistol. (Officers) can't aim," Chitwood said.

Miljour was treated at a hospital before being taken to the Lee County jail. He was charged with indecent exposure, resisting an officer and criminal damage.

On the humorous side, it might shock some sense into him.

On the professional side, I have to wonder if it is within the department's use of force policy to tase fleeing misdemeanor suspects. Point of impact is not really a practical consideration.

It most likely is authorized, Sir.

We are teaching our guys now that if they advise someone they are under arrest (for any offense) and that individual turns and starts moving away from them (in an attempt to flee or resist). The officer would be very justified (and we recommend) in using the Taser.

It is policy to engage with a taser when suspect is in flight Sir however I'd say you risk crucifiction in the papers unless said idiot is armed, or presents a threat to the public. I prefer to chase on foot then administer a bit of hand to hand justice. :D

Hate to say it, but while what the bozo was doing is a mild "offense" now, it usually turns into a worse offense later.

I go for denutting the a**hole. I don't need him to decide that since none of the women would touch him he would just force the next one. Of course that becomes, "WOW! That was fun lets see what I can force the next one to do".

Well, maybe that was an excellent aversion thearpy, adn just maybe, though I doubt it, he will stop his silliness.

Next complaint is the bozos in the news (?) industry (?) that complain of the poor victums, you know the felons that run and don't give a crap less about hurting civies or LEA, getting tased when the next altenative is shooting the idiot, or letting him run off so that he can victimize someone else.

I have no sympathy for the offender.

I remember a few moons ago, hiding in a bush awaiting a regular peeping tom at my then girlfriends ground floor apartment.

The continuation is perhaps for another thread, but since experiencing this first hand, i think it's great he got tazed, and the location seems so fitting!

Whether the placement was intentional or not, it'll be awhile before he thinks of doing it again. It probably saved many women harasment and the perp a spell in jail for a more serious crime.

Stay safe friends
