Thanks for noticing those.
I wanted a broad point for hard use and with the CPM S-30V steel, they should hold up well. I have pictures of my first tanto blades from over twenty years ago. These were inspired by my good friend the knifemaker Bob Lum who introduced the world to the modern custom tanto.

I was speaking with Dick Barber a couple days ago, he is the guy who designed, tested and produced the CPM S-30V steel while he was with Crucible Specialty Tools steels. The quality of this steel (impact toughness, bending strength and edge holding) is proven and Dick tells me it's the fastest growing tool steel in modern knifemaking.

Oh yeah the steel and Lone Wolf/Harsey Tanto are all Made In USA.
That still matters to me.

Damn, those are sweet!!!

I've been a big fan of Tanto blades for about 20 years now. The Tanto's are still my favorite...

Excellent work Mr. Harsey!!!

Bill,

I just sent one of these to my good friend Marc who is serving in OIF.

He graduated near the top of his class at Harvard Law School in 2001, clerked for a federal judge, then went to MEPS and raised his right hand when the Iraq war started. He is now a 1LT branched Field Artillery, but has been assigned VIP protection duties in Baghdad.

I'm sure it will give his spirits a boost when he opens the box. :lifter

WOO HOO! I've got to get down to Lone Wolf's new location this week and pick up both the D2 Auto and a T1.
MR. TR, yes please, I would like a Tanto Auto next!
