Just finished this one. It's all about a black UK miltiary unit that did a ton of surveillance and snatch work in Northern Ireland in the 80's.

Not SAS, their designation was 14 Company. They had women and men operators and, if the book is to be believed, pulled off some pretty hairy ops.

Not a whole lot of shooting, but a lot of surveillance, counter intelligence and collecting intelligence in hostile neighborhoods.

Goes into missions and some techniques, that I am guessing are mostly outdated at this point but it's very interesting stuff.

They're not known as 14int (the "Det") anymore, I think they're RSS or somesuch. I'm not certain.

Certainly a interesting bunch of people. As I understand it, they're the only unit that allows woman in a sort of combat role.
