I question the question mark.

Masood was the closest thing to a hero by our standards that the Afghans had. He was a flawed individual, but very crafty and with personal bravery. He was imperfect, but our best bet pre-9/11. He was one of the few, if not the only major warlord to not be bought out by the Taliban in the 90's when many of his "peers" were rolling over for Pakistani-funded bribes.

RIP indeed. I wonder how the post 9/11 liberation would have gone had he been alive.

He was enough of a threat that they knew to take him out before they started. Wonder what A-stan would look like now - with him?

The question mark is mostly because I am not a SME on the TAOR. I am an arrogant son of a bitch, but not that arrogant. ;)

No, you are not.

You are confident, and self-assured, because you can do what you say you can.

Lose your shot records? :D

He was a teammate, and I know his capabilities and limitations, in good times and bad.

"I rode with him. I got no complaints."
