Thanks NDD, 5 and 8 really got me. Hard to believe it's been 4 years...still seems like it was just yesterday to me.

Within our memories lie the lives of those we have loved, when we remember...they live again. Never forget.

On Spetember 11th 2001 I was working of the 30th floor of an office building directly accross the river from the WTC. My trading assistant was on the telephone with is older brother who worked in the upper floors of the north tower when the first plane hit. We saw it all up close and my friend knew his brother wasn't coming home. When it was all said and done I lost two pretty good friends that and probably 20 more I knew in looser social circles. Luckily enough for me my best childhood friend had left Cantor Fitzgerald two weeks before the attack otherwise it would have been three. It still burns my ass till this day.

been waiting for the day to post this one. Seems relevant to post here.
I have the artist consent. I hope it's clear enough to see the eye details.
It's also available at (put the www) dns-5.com/Web/Web%20Images/Painting(Conceptual)/9-11.jpg

When the time comes, I wish to use it as avatar

*EDIT*thanks for the info Gypsy, I'll check on it

For very personal reasons I hate this time of year.

I hear you. I'm a little to old to have a "step father", but on that day as I was laying on the couch recovering from back surgery about 2-3 weeks before watching this happen, I saw through the vicotin haze clearly enough to remember "Holy shit, George is in there!" He made it out ok and spent the rest of the day helping out in the rescue effort. It took a good 48 hours until I heard he was OK.

NDD, thank you for the links.

I am mixed about 911, I saw great strength and courage from New Yorkers, especially Emergency service people (fire, police and EMTs) That would equal any heroic action that time has ever recorded. I was greatly Honor to be an American, seeing my fellow Americans come together to help other Americans unselfishly.

I was horrified and stunned by the lost of Our Fellow Americans in New York from a cowardly and barbaric attack.

As time passed, I was shamed by the political opportunist, who seem to have forgotten 911, twist and manipulate events to serve their own personal politics.

I pray that those who lost love ones and friends fine peace and solace.

I think peace and solace will be found when we achieve "payback"!
