Don't even know what to say except that heart attack can't come quick enough.

Friday, September 2nd, 2005

Dear Mr. Bush:

Any idea where all our helicopters are? It's Day 5 of Hurricane Katrina and thousands remain stranded in New Orleans and need to be airlifted. Where on earth could you have misplaced all our military choppers? Do you need help finding them? I once lost my car in a Sears parking lot. Man, was that a drag.

Also, any idea where all our national guard soldiers are? We could really use them right now for the type of thing they signed up to do like helping with national disasters. How come they weren't there to begin with?

Last Thursday I was in south Florida and sat outside while the eye of Hurricane Katrina passed over my head. It was only a Category 1 then but it was pretty nasty. Eleven people died and, as of today, there were still homes without power. That night the weatherman said this storm was on its way to New Orleans. That was Thursday! Did anybody tell you? I know you didn't want to interrupt your vacation and I know how you don't like to get bad news. Plus, you had fundraisers to go to and mothers of dead soldiers to ignore and smear. You sure showed her!

I especially like how, the day after the hurricane, instead of flying to Louisiana, you flew to San Diego to party with your business peeps. Don't let people criticize you for this -- after all, the hurricane was over and what the heck could you do, put your finger in the dike?

And don't listen to those who, in the coming days, will reveal how you specifically reduced the Army Corps of Engineers' budget for New Orleans this summer for the third year in a row. You just tell them that even if you hadn't cut the money to fix those levees, there weren't going to be any Army engineers to fix them anyway because you had a much more important construction job for them -- BUILDING DEMOCRACY IN IRAQ!

On Day 3, when you finally left your vacation home, I have to say I was moved by how you had your Air Force One pilot descend from the clouds as you flew over New Orleans so you could catch a quick look of the disaster. Hey, I know you couldn't stop and grab a bullhorn and stand on some rubble and act like a commander in chief. Been there done that.

There will be those who will try to politicize this tragedy and try to use it against you. Just have your people keep pointing that out. Respond to nothing. Even those pesky scientists who predicted this would happen because the water in the Gulf of Mexico is getting hotter and hotter making a storm like this inevitable. Ignore them and all their global warming Chicken Littles. There is nothing unusual about a hurricane that was so wide it would be like having one F-4 tornado that stretched from New York to Cleveland.

No, Mr. Bush, you just stay the course. It's not your fault that 30 percent of New Orleans lives in poverty or that tens of thousands had no transportation to get out of town. C'mon, they're black! I mean, it's not like this happened to Kennebunkport. Can you imagine leaving white people on their roofs for five days? Don't make me laugh! Race has nothing -- NOTHING -- to do with this!

You hang in there, Mr. Bush. Just try to find a few of our Army helicopters and send them there. Pretend the people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast are near Tikrit.

Yours,

Michael Moore

I heard Michael Moore is sueing Florida. He went to a beach to enjoy the water. A lifegaurd thought he was a beached whale and call support. After two hours of trying to drag MM back into the ocean it was determined he was no whale.

Maybe Moore could send just one of his meals per day and feed a poor family of ten in N.O.?

The fat windbag does not even appear to know that the Corps of Engineers do the levee work, not the uniformed Army Engineers, who IIRC are prevented by law from doing civilian construction projects.

Has he done anything to help? Other than race baiting?

What a disgusting pig. When he talks, I see Jabba the Hutt. Or the thing that Chet was turned into in "Weird Science".

Ya know, this guy is so ridiculous it is not even worth the time to actually dissect this piece of crap.

BTW, where is he? Handing out food, right there in the thick of things helping out, or madly typing away on his computer, getting some other whining, petty piece out to the national media?

I can't stand him, he annoys me so much.

And it is not his views. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, just because I don't agree doesn't make them wrong.

I just can't stand that he lies. No government is so perfect that an argument can't be made against it without lying.

The fact that he feels he cannot make his point using honest facts makes him the lowest, laziest, most bottom-feeding, scum-sucking, mouth-breathing, waste of oxygen, despicable remnant of humanity hack alive. *deep breath*

Anyway, that's just my mild opinion... :D

Too bad it didn't take him with her.

She was only a Category 1 at the time. Needs more power to lift something that damn heavy. You know that fat bastard makes alot of comments about the military and about us in Iraq. I'd give my life savings to see that tub of lard pick up a weapon and rucksack and start humping it. Just for one year, I won't hold him to high standards. That man is the poster child for profilatics.

I guess that POS did not bother to read reports like the one from the National Guard Bureau (PM me for link) showing almost 8,000 boots on the ground by the 30th uncluding air support but not including other services Air power. That was just the 30th!

By the 1st LTG Honore had been named the JTF Katrina commander and 20,000 troops (Army/Air National Guard) were on the ground in the areas hit by the storm and the numbers were growing. These numbers also do not include the almost 7,000 Navy folks on the ground helping out.

Well brew this fat slob has never been known for presenting facts. Guess I'm not surprised that instead of lifting a finger he's pointing one as usual.

So it's not just me? Excellent!

Too bad it didn't take him with her.

No, actually, Thank god it didn't! That would have had to have been a Catagory 20 storm, and that would have wiped out everything from Florida to Los Angeles (OK, Los Angeles... maybe not such a bad thing).

LOL! Yeah I'm sure we'd have felt that all around the country. Maybe even up to Canada.

Michael Moore and his ilk love to point out that funding was cut for the Corp of Engineers levee upgrades but they all conviently forget to mention that the part of the levy that failed was not part of that cut and in fact it had just been upgraded. They also love to point out that he is not there personally to oversea the relief efforts. They don't, however, have any idea what he should be doing there. The last time I checked, POTUS was not required to be an expert on the mechanics of disaster relief, and those experts are already on the ground.

Also Moore forgot to mention the fact that it was Mr. Bill Clinton who first cut the budget for the Army Corps of Engineers and I believe he did it all 8 years of his presidency.
