I just saw this movie this weekend...it's Korean and may be difficult to locate without some effort or a multi-region DVD player but it's well worth it...
Apparently in 1968 the North Koreans managed to infiltrate an spec ops assasination unit into South Korea with the intent of decapitating the South Korean leadership. They were discovered and wiped out...in response the South Koreans went out and pulled canditates from death row and sent them to the island of Silmido where Korean AirForce SF whipped them into some kind of insane commando unit...their goal, the infiltration of the north and the assasination of the president of North Korea...
The story starts with their training and follows them until...well the story is pretty intense. While some elements have been dramaticized, I did some research on it and it seems the story is pretty close to accurate...
A very sad movie about a black ops unit...Definitely worth a gander IMO
