View Full Version : RIP Fallen Marines
God Bless and God Speed.
Heartfelt comfort out to the family, friends, Brothers and Sisters
.
I replied to your PM, Pandora, but I will post it in the open for anyone who might need it. For others, we let it be known you wrote of a desire for faith "to believe the babies of these brave souls will grow knowing that their Papa's are in the arms, of angels, vikings or eagles soaring to a spirit world."
These are only my personal thoughts and if you, admins and moderators, feel this to be the wrong place, please move or remove it.(EDIT: ) It is not written to compare me to these brave Marines, so please don't interpret it like that.(/EDIT)
Whatever you conceive him to be,
let Him be felt.
We have today not much of a greater reassurance,
than what moves our hearts,
in those hours, days of need.
So what can we believe,
what need we believe,
to succeed,
to be happy?
Where can we continue the fight,
where can we lean down to rest,
letting our children and heart's companion enjoy life?
In a question of "where's papa?",
move my Dear boy's heart to know Thee.
Let him know,
as I do,
that there is hope.
Hold his soul in your hands,
and caress it when he is alone.
And I shall stand by your side,
with eternity, we will ride out the storm,
we will look in calm.
And one day,
the heart I treasured,
my, my, MY Sweet Love is strong.
Let her believe I stand by your side,
and I do.
Let her believe my only desire in a world on the move,
is for her everlasting goodness to be happy,
in any manner she pleases,
and know to be honorable.
We don't beg, my Lord,
I know I'm not perfect,
and haven't always said my prayers.
But you know me, my Lord,
and therefore I trust you,
I know you tell me I am no blasphemy.
If you don't mind, however, my Lord,
I have a child and a wonderful woman to cherish.
I will greet you later,
and thank you for the ever open invitation.
Thank you,
for being there with my grandma.
She was a nice, strong, correct yet forgiving lady.
She's with me everyday,
rarely talking,
but I know she and you keep an eye on me.
Amen.
DAMN Martin...
You mind if I print that out?
Take care.
Not at all, Guy. You're welcome.
Thanks,
I'll laminate it and carry it, in my left shirt pocket.
Take care and stay safe!
A heavy loss...Rest in Peace brave Warriors.

Martin, fitting post and very moving. I'm not a man of religion but can place value in those words you posted. Thank you!
