On Saturday 23 July 2005 I had the honor, as the Chapter President of the NW Chapter of the 1st Cavalry Division Assn. of presenting the floral honoring the soldiers who served in the Division during the Korean War and especially for those who were KIA, MIA and Unaccounted for POWs during that war — "The Forgotten War."

The ceremony is held each year on the Saturday prior to the 27 July to mark the signing of the truce and cease fire in Korea on that date in 1953.

The Ceremony is held at the Korean War monument on the State of Washingtons Capitol grounds in Olympia, WA. It's sponsered by the Chosin Few and other Korean War Veterans and Korean Nationals both civilians and veterans. It seems their are fewer each year.

Here is the wreath on the monument.:

That must have been a huge honor for you Trip Wire, thanks for sharing that with us. And most of all thanks to the Veterans of this War. I'll share the picture with my dad...he fought there.
