View Full Version : AUCTION: GET SELECTED FOR SPECIAL FORCES signed copy

Warrior-Mentor
07-21-2005, 17:50
Team Sergeant called me today...had a great idea I couldn't pass up.

You know the deal...listen to the Team Sergeant.

He recommended I offer a SIGNED COPY of GET SELECTED for auction here.

Here's the deal...

The auction winner gets:

> a custom signed copy of GET SELECTED. Let me know what you'd like it to say and I'll sign it. If you like, the winner can PM his background and I can customize it as well.

> I'll also throw in a WEEK OF FREE PERSONAL COACHING. Got questions? Give me a call.

> An advanced copy of the FREE Special Report on RUNNING: A CrASH Course for Beginners that I am working on with STu Mittleman. Here's your chance to influence what you'd like to know by giving us other questions you'd like answered BEFORE it's published.

> To make it interesting, TEAM SERGEANT is now throwing in a few hours of pistol instruction too (When the weather in Phoenix cools down of course!)

How much is that worth to you?

Anybody interested can make a bid in this thread.

Bidding starts at $25.00 (+$4.20 shipping & handling).

The auction closes at noon on Monday, August 1st.

Do I hear $30?

The coaching was geared towards our studs preparing for SFAS. I was guessing they'd have questions on their PT Programs, injuries, whatever.

The idea is to add as much value as possible.

The Reaper
08-01-2005, 13:43
Some auction boards (other than ebay) have an anti-sniping measure to keep last second lurkers from waiting to see what the price will be and jumping on it.

They require an additional amount of time to expire after the last bid, extending the auction (even if the closing time arrives) another 15 minutes or so to allow others to up their bids.

TR

jatx
08-01-2005, 13:50
I'm sure that Aric would agree there was no snipe here. We both stood there and stared at each other across the ether for ten minutes, but were unfortunately going by different clocks. I'll go along with whatever you guys think is fair, though.

But if we're still bidding, I'm in for $400. :)

What if TS & I agreed to double to booty and allowed you to freeze your bids at the 12 noon price?

You BOTH WIN the auction at the price you agreed to pay at noon.

You BOTH WIN by getting ALL the loot you wanted.

The Warrior Foundation WINS and almost DOUBLES their take?

Fair enough?
