I read a post on SOCnet that stated that team week was reinstated. What is team week, is sort of like Hell Week in BUD/S. I did a search on this site but it did not return too much. Thank you for any replies.

It is something you will have to do at a point in time, if you go SF.

That is all you need to know about it till then.

Have you introduced yourself and read all of the stickies here?

Thank you for your response

I introduced myself, but it was on a very long thread, i believe the 78th page, if you would like I will do it again in a new thread. Yes I have read the stickies, I am sorry if I did something wrong.
Here is the link to my intro http://www.professionalsoldiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5955&page=78&pp=15

Start Road Marching now.

Be prepared for a spine-crushing, character building, chaffe separating experience.

The details don't matter. Just keep going...Cast or Tab*.

Fear the Reaper.

JM

P.S. If you don't know what "Cast or Tab" is, you'll want to read GET SELECTED FOR SPECIAL FORCES. Because it's important, it's in Chapter 1.

Yeah. . . um, Team Week hurt. Wow. . . a topic I can actually comment on

No one will (or should) tell you what happens in Team Week. Spoils the fun. From what I understand, it changes all the time anyway, so whatever info you get is probably outdated.

However, I can offer this - general info for selection that worked for me:

Read all the SFAS stickies. Pardon my stating the obvious, but TR is the real deal.
Ruck, Ruck, Ruck
Don't be late, light, last, low, or lost.
Take care of your feet.
Life is always better if a person knows his knots.
If it's important, tie it to your person.
Envision yourself as a better man. Imitate that vision. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and acts like a duck, well, you get the point. Childish, immature people get crummy peers.
Ruck some more.
Keep your mouth shut; be a gray man. Most of the loud people are gone by the first week anyway. Get some ear plugs; they will help you sleep.
Support your teammates 100%. Always pull your weight and then some.
Ruck, Ruck, Ruck
Use your brain.
Always have a positive attitude. If you don't, fake it.
Don't ever quit.

As far as I can tell, so long as you're still there and none of the Cadre have pointed you out and said, "leave," you're still in the running. Even if you've messed everything up and your entire hut hates you, don't select yourself out. If the Cadre doesn't want you, they'll let you know.

As far as prepping fellows for Selection, the 18x program does a great job. I can't speak as to whether they become great SF guys. All of the SOPC kids were in the front of the pack for most every event. Neat people too; we had lawyers, history professors, computer scientists, high schoolers, janitors. . . all sorts. My bunk mate was a former professional rodeo rider. Go figure.

You'll be in selection with a bunch of returning vets too. Perhaps 1/2 of the guys in my class served overseas and many, many wore CIB's. Remember that these are people who aren't just off the street. Some are already high speed. When they speak, shut up and listen.

I didn't buy Warrior Mentor's book, but if it had been around before I was going to go, I would have. Still might.

And that's all I have to say about that.
