I have a question for you, SFG. Since the APFT standards changed back in the mid to late 90s, why is the 17-21 age group still the performance standard, as that is not the age group requiring the greatest number of repetitions of the exercises?

Tradition. What else? Like everything else in the military.

Probably age norming, to keep the kiddies from having to do any better. The couch potatos of the current generation need the edge, trust me.

I will ask sometime.
