Alright, if you have been known to consume the stuff on occasion, I'd like to know which brands you prefer. And this thread will be a complete failure if our 7th Group contingent fails to identify new brands I need to try before my life is complete. :D

I don't know if its technically a tequila...but I think it is...

It's a stuff we came across down in Mismaloya, Mexico last time we were down that way, called Ricia (sp?). They said it was only produced in that area (Puerto Vallarta area), but I don't know if this is true. This stuff was by far my favorite that I've tried. They also said (cant verify if this is true), that it was once outlawed in Mexico. My sister brought a bottle back with her, and in a couple of weeks, I hope to pick up whats left of that bottle while I'm home.

I'm running low on tequila at home, which means its about time for another trip South to stock up!

Don Julio is good stuff, as well as a brand called Cazador. My favorite at this time is Corralejo. Both the anejo and Reposado are quite good.

I have a Tequila story, but not what you might expect.

A friend of mine referred a big case to me, and despite the fact that we couldn't take it because of a conflict, I wanted to thank him. He likes tequila, so I bought him an expensive bottle of Porfidio. Gave it to my secretary and asked her to messenger it over to him. It was already gift-wrapped.

A couple of months later, after we already had fired the secretary, it occurs to me that he never called to say thank you. So I call him and ask whether he liked the tequila. He says, "huh? What tequila?" So I have our accounting department look for a receipt for the messenger to see who signed for it. There wasn't one. So I ask around, and one of our word processors tells me that, as a recovered alcoholic, he's pretty sure she was drinking at lunch. Obviously, she stole the bottle!

So I had to go get another bottle to send to him. This time, I made sure he actually got it! LOL

if i drink tequila, it's normally Cuervo Gold or Two Fingers...once, however, near Ciudad Juarez, while a member of the world's largest street gang, i bought some stuff in a brown jug (NBS) and that stuff was good...good thing we didn't do piss tests back in '74...bought some stuff in a mason jar in Nogales that wasn't too bad either...

i suspect somewhere, there is a huge burial of my dead brain cells... :D

Was browsing today in some downtime and ran across this. I recommend some El Conde Azul Anejo. Great for sipping.

Tequilla when drunk in copious amounts does strange sh#t to people. In my drinking days I was more of a Bourbon man.
