Let's see your recommendations for good mixes you can buy at a basic grocery store to make something really good.

I'll start with this, and I would like Saca's feedback:

If you like chinese barbecue, like the spareribs or roast pork you get at restaurants, I like this (http://www.nohfoods.com/Recipes/chinesebarbeq.htm). You can find it easily at any Asian grocery store.

Choice of meat is, of course, up to the individual. :D

Lipton noodles/rice and sauce along with ramen noodles(while not fancy) are probably responsible for my still being alive

I have to go with Zatarain's mixes and I too am anxious to see what Saca has to say about them. Other then that brand we do not buy any "boxed" dinners.

Does your dad make you cook and eat those while crouching in a hole on the side of a hill?

Bill:

Doesn't everyone raise their kids like that?

Of course not.

He never let us "Cook" them, we had to eat them cold :D

Aaaah, That makes sense now.
He didn't let you use the stuffing out of the claymores for boiling the water till later.

LOL. Among my family and friends, no pantry is complete without a case of ramen noodles.
