Although tomorrow is actually our 37th Wedding Aniversary, (6/14/05) we chose to celerbrate it to night, as we are committed to attending a dinner tomorrow night at the WA State retired police/sheriffs' officers dinner at the Muckelshoot Casino.

To night, we had dinner at Stanley & Seaforts in Tacoma. We started out with cocktails and we shared a dozen oysters as an appitizer. I had a Martini with Bombay Sapphire gin, straight up with a twist of lemon, my wife, had a Manhattan. We both had salads, mine was a garden salad with blue cheese dressing with shrimp. She had the same with another dressing.

For our main course, we both had Grilled Copper River Salmon, with a potato pancake. This salmon melts in your mouth! We had a bottle of Korbel Champagne with dinner.

For Dessert, I had a Banana Sundae, with fresh strawberries, carmel and both vanilla ice cream and ginger ice cream along with coconut. (Two spoons.)

We both had after dinner drinks and coffee. I had a Metoxa (Greek) brandy in a sniffer. She had a "Brandy Milk shake," of some kind.

We left this restrauant and on the way home stopped at the Cliff House Restrauant (Tacoma) and watched the sunset, from the windows facing Commencement Bay, Tacoma. Of course, we had a couple of B&B's in sniffers with ice water back-ups while doing this.

We returned home feeling Great! I only hope we can do as good for our 38th! :D

Very cool, Trip Wire.

It's so heartwarming to see older couples who truly love each other. It's the kind of thing that always stops me from doing whatever I'm doing and take notice.

This is one of my favorite travel pics because this very British (check out the attire) couple were obviously so much in love, and standing in front of a place (Buckingham Palace) that clearly meant a lot to them in their lives. I wanted to ask them if I could take a closer photo but I didn't want to mess up their moment.

Anyway, thanks for the post TW. Congrats on the 37'th.

Trip-Wire that is terrific. Congratualtions to you both.

Now as for you FS, you young whipper (and whip) snapper, some of you could use a little adult supervision from time to time.

Nahhhh, just kidding about that age thing :-). I actually think age is mostly irrelevant. In the sense that lots of people seem so focused on it, and I think that's ridiculous.

(and whip) snapperLike that Sir Jack! Ha! :)

I had a Martini with Bombay Sapphire gin, straight up with a twist of lemon,

I take mine with 3 olives thankyouverymuch. :D Seriously your evening sounds perfect and lovely.

Congrats to you and your lovely Bride Trip_Wire...may you continue to enjoy health, love and happiness together for many, many years to come.

Thanks to all!

BTW: I used to like two or three olives, but recently I really like pickled okra slices that we keep at home for this. When out (because they don't have pickled okra.) I have decided, that a twist of lemon does it! I like the taste of that Bombay Sapphire gin!

Oh! My motto on age is "You're only as old as you feel." :lifter

WOW!

37 years? That's longer than a Life Sentence in most states! In fact, up here you would have gotten "Time off for good behavior" at 25 years. :D

Sincerely, my best Congratulations to you and Mrs. Tripwire. That is both a cause for celebration and an accomplishment.
