I thought I would post this here for those that might be interested in a career in LE. It is my old department and I think that is a good one. Here is the web site:

It is my current Department, so my opinion may be a little biased.
KCSO is a good place to work. The opportunities are there to work any facet of Law Enforcement your little heart desires. It is big enough to have all of the different types of specialty units, and small enough that you will not get lost in a sea of names.
The Department is focused on being the primary contractor for LE services to the smaller cities in the region. It is much more cost effective for the towns, and provides much more efficient LE services than a 5 man department could ever hope to.
For those not from the region, the pay looks HUGE! It is good, and I make a comfortable living, but remember that cost of living is commensurate. You're not gonna get rich being a cop no matter where you work.
KCSO has a well earned reputation for having a tough FTO program. No one is allowed to skate through FTO. You will earn it.
