Hello gentlemen, this is my first post on these boards (I prefer to stay in the background and learn what I can). This is the first time I have thought of a question which has gone unanswered on these boards, so I feel compelled to ask- Is it commonplace for the 1st SFG to deploy to Afghanistan and Iraq? All the information conerning SF activity in those areas always seems to be 5th or 3rd Group. Thank you for your time.

SF Personnel from each Group deploy wherever they are needed. Geograhical orientation is a consideration, but we are always ready to go where we can do the most harm to our adversaries.
