I turned on the news today and CNN is covering a story about a man selling a flag that was flown (maybe, maybe not) at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.

Here is the E-bay Auction:

And here is the story from the Washington Post.

Nicholson is pointing to the construction company, but the company denies it even had a crane at the site. Should E-bay step in and hold the auction until proof is given that it was at the Pentagon? Or should they cancel the thing all together and give the flag to a museum? If it is legit I think it should be handed over to a museum--or something along those lines. What are your thoughts?

I'd question the man who's selling it since the companies claims kind of overshadow his. Sounds to me like another bonehead turning a dime of others grief. If it sells, turn it over to some charitable organization (legit org, not another money scam). If it turns out it's a false statement put him on camera to apologize, slap him in the head and turn him over to the masses. :D

I saw an interview of Fox News with this guy. He is in medical/finacial straights and he is forced to sell in order to stabalize his finacial situation for his family. He says it is really not his desire to sell the flag.
