Not only have I heard of him but am proud to say I've known him for near twenty years.
He is quite simply the best heat treater of custom knives in the business.
Paul was always kind enough to take the time to answer all my questions about heat treating the tool steels we use.
I consider him a friend.

I had a friend make a long knife out of ATS-34 and he sent it to Mr. Bos for the heat treatment. He told me it was going to the best and I'm proud to have it.
BTW, my knifemaker friend was quite impressed when I told him you were a member of the board.

Heat treating is to make the knife hard. And add rust resistance (it seems to do that at least). And maybe other things.

FS, Thanks for the great pic of Pauls rod. He'd better be getting some snow tires for that ride. Looks easy to put chains on too.
