Last thing any business needs.
Received a resume, all is good until the inclusion of a new resume category is presented: Involvement
“L Taken Social Justice Seminar, Washington,DC”
Prepared and lead discussions ….

Yeah I see all kinds of ridiculous things on resumes these days.

Another tell: preferred pronouns

I originally got on LinkedIn when I was getting ready to retire because so many people had me so convinced that it would totally help me get a job when I left service...
...it totally did not.

However, in the years following, I maintained it for some bizarre reasons because I thought it would help me stay in touch with folks should the time come that I needed to fall back on 'the network' in the event that my professional goals "changed" and I decide to leave the MIC behind and actually become a productive member of society in the private sector.

What I've noticed is that LInkedIn is really nothing short of "Facebook" for people that have to pretend to be valuable corporate assets.
Some of the absolute horseshit I've seen on LInkedIn serves as pretty good example of "how to become unemployable"

When I saw people that I had served with start to put their pronouns in their LinkedIn profile - I relaized that aMer1Kan cUltuRe had turned a corner.

There really is no such thing as "unemployable" any more.

You got a septum peircing and neon blue hair?
No problem, there is someone waiting to hire you as an activist.

You've got unintelligible Asian handwriting on your forearms that "dont mean what you think it means"
...somebody is waiting to hire you as a protestor

You feel the need to put your pronouns on all of your social media as well as the top of your resume?
...no problem, there is a political campaign just waiting to hire you to do cold calls

You have some other wild and crazy degenrate social habit?
...no problem, there is a lawyer drooling to take your wrongful termination suit against "Big Industry" no matter how ridiculous your claim as long as they get a cut of the settlement

Risne and repeat

LinkedIn is extremely important in corporate America. I use it daily. It's a very powerful tool for networking as well as gathering background information on people. I'm happy to help anyone transitioning out of military service with it if desired. Just shoot me a PM.

The threads on this site have taken me down a lot of rabbit holes over the years.

Just wasted 15 minutes of my life learning about the "Septum Ring Theory". Awesome! But don't stop there. Make sure you switch to images for the full effect.

I couldn't help it. I went back for more today and delved deeper into the world of female incels. It's like a visual earworm. I may have to hire one. Give her a desk across from mine. So we can give each other the Gen Z stare.

Do they do the Gen Z stare in the military? Because I have to say, it reminds me a lot like the stare an old SGM used back in the day. Trying to picture him with a septum ring made me laugh.

I now know why Alfalfa helped form the "He-man Woman Haters Club".

I believe his Linkedin title would be: Founder

In a management class at Wharton, presented by the former "DEAN" of Wharton, his suggestion was to validate worth, with proven results. Nothing less was acceptable. YMMV

The former Dean of Wharton is obviously racist/sexist/homophobe.
