The NY trial is over, and Trump has been judged by a group of his so-called peers. Gotta believe the outcome would have been different if the trial were held someplace like Tenn, West Texas or Louisiana. I have no idea if Trump broke the law in this case. Because I don’t really care. The whole thing was a colossal waste of time.

It seems reasonable to me that Trump slept with a stripper/ pornstar. I didn’t need a trial to confirm that salacious tidbit. And that Trump authorized a payment to her. However, that is not illegal to do. He lied about it, so what? Trump lies a lot.

Retraction/Edit:

Did he use campaign money? No. This was an ill advised statement on my part. The money used to repay Cohen's consultant and Taxi stuff was paid from Trumps trust/personal account. However, I would consider that a one off, I suspect because he couldn't figure a way around it. The following still holds in my view: Anyone who follows Trump knows that he doesn’t like to pay people with his own money. It’s one of his strangest traits. He is like an influencer who thinks they shouldn’t have to pay at a restaurant. He is notorious for stiffing vendors. Who knows, maybe he could get better legal representation if this were not the case.

So the accounting was categorized as an illegal campaign contribution. Big whoop. Pay a fine and move on. This crap happens everyday in the business world.

Who really cares if the accounting was an illegal contribution? The squad and their minions? Robert De Niro and his friends on the View? So they can say " We finally got him". How droll.

People don’t necessarily vote for Trump because of his actions. It’s more about the cultural idea he has come to represent. The voters that sent him the money don’t give two spits how she got paid. So why should anyone else. It’s not going to change their vote or stop them from sending more money. Trump has been separating investors from their cash from way back. And that’s exactly what this money is, an investment. You send trump money via any number of his schemes with the idea that there will be a return on your investment. A political return. I am willing to send him my vote in exchange for fixing our border crisis. But like most investments, there is no guarantee I will receive a return even if he is elected.

I’m not saying Trump is above the law, there are other possible trials where I might not give him a pass on the outcome. But this is much ado about nothing.

What should happen now?

This BS just pushes each side farther way from the middle. For once, the Dims should do what’s best for the country. Can Biden break free from the progressive hold on the left? If he had any balls he would have the Gov of NY hold a press conference and immediately pardon Trump. Regardless of the ramifications on his internal polling.

Trump is a shitty business man. Period. Full stop.

America isn’t a country. It isn’t a Republic with Democratic principles with a Constitution as its supreme law of the land. There aren’t really three branches of government (or four depending who you ask with tinfoil on their head).

America is, always has been, and always will be a Business. Nothing more, nothing less.

The real power brokers who actually run shit have decided that the armature and quite frankly, shitty business man that is Trump must go. He hurts the only thing that matters. Profit.

Cheap labor that doesn’t require social security matching funds. Cheap importation of low-cost goods from Asia. These, along with any number of profit degrading policies of the shitty business man are why this is and has been happening.

Stop thinking inside the box. Look at what is real. That will provide clarity.

And about half of the people in this country would still vote for him in November?

Lotsa people here still like the guy regardless.

FWIW, the allegation in this case was not that campaign funds were used to pay off Stormy. It basically was that the payoff was an illegal campaign contribution.

I'm not a Trump fan, but the entire case was complete BS as a legal matter and the outcome further undermines my rapidly deteriorating faith in our institutions.

Is that because it's a NY law in play? Or is that the Federal thing they were trying to get to? Not sure if this was as fully covered in the various media as you have 'cause some folks sound as if they still don't know what was ginned up by Bragg & Co. Just as a regular folk it seems that using your own money to mitigate something that might be embarassing to you or your campaign wouldn't (or at least 'shouldn't') be against the law. That's f'd up.

Associate in grand-daughter's law office mentioned to her that he thinks this thing is so reversible on so many levels as to resemble a stacked deck of UNO cards. Doesn't help Trump immediately but just FWIW.

I stand corrected. Although It does not change my opinion of the trial.

Thanks for setting me straight.

Trump is very unhelpful to what Mike Benz would call the “drafting class”.

This whole thing as nothing more than a humiliation ritual, of which republican'ts have been subject to since the 60s. They get riled up, send sternly worded emails and then go back to the couch and wait for the next humiliation ritual to begin.

We cannot vote ourselves out of this.

You know what it's going to be Bud.

1- Sternly worded emails.

2- Fundraising.

3- Selling "FREE 45" merch.

4- Gatekeeper talking heads telling you what would happen if the role was reversed.

Yes, damn right it is without a doubt a public flogging. How dare an outsider come into swampland central and not be easily controlled. Trump has said it over and over that they are not after him they are after us he is in the way. IF he wins the election it will be like last time and when he is out of office as long as he has influence he will be persecuted. I don't understand how anyone can believe the leftist spin after 9 1/2 years of lies upon lies upon lies....we don't know the truth of the facts anymore....I know Trump was a popular figure seemingly loved by a huge amount of people and a shrewd businessman just like evry other businessman. The things he is accused of is par for the course as far as businessmen go. I know this...no other POTUS has every had to deal with the interference in a term as he has and still he did more in his term than most did in 2+ terms.

The conditioning of the Americans mind has gone from subtle to blatantly obvious since the 60's. This is the type of stuff we were trained to understand this TTP that goes on in a UW(insurgent campaign) prior to link up beginning with left of phase 1. Politics is fought with guerilla tactics fought in a continuum. Your average person may understand what has happened just not sure of the mechanics of how....we do or should. Revolution is what it is peaceful or arme does not matter...why gunfights if the people will give it away from lies. The NAZI'S did not kill millions of people in camps by force they used guile and deceit and simply herded them.

Make no mistake Trump is loud and bold and fearless but don't lose sight of the last 9.5 yrs of who is doing this to America. This country was doomed the first time a politician learned he could profit by introducing legislation to limit competition...so much for the anti trust.

That is true, they tried to escalate in the 70/80's with deforestation causing global freezing...but it seems since Trump has come around we have been getting the full court press.

What I find interesting is I feel military leadership was not ready for the information age and their debauchery....bad leadership is out in the open but the Democrat left machine has almost been ahead of the information age and we're prepared to use disinformation and lies right out of the gate, their underground is massive in the tech world. Trumps method is the best way to confront it head on.
