OJ's casket will be loaded into a white Explorer and driven slowly down the freeway.

If you want to don your tinfoil hats, there is a quite plausible theory that the murders were actually committed by OJ’s son Jason, and OJ was covering up the murders.
Of course, this would strongly imply that the LAPD had planted some evidence in an attempt to frame OJ not too long after the Rodney King riots.

What could possibly go wrong if that information were apparent?
Like I said, if you want to don your tinfoil hats…

Unless the LAPD has some super-secret technology that allowed them to squirt OJ's DNA all over the crime scene, the two Vics, all over OJ's clothes, vehicles, etc. this was a clear case of "jury nullification" by a black jury against "the man." I studied this quite a bit back in the day as it was the shits in the legal community. I read books, transcripts, etc.

Johnny Cochrane was the most unethical lawyer ever conceived and he destroyed evidence, manipulated the crime scene, outright lied, etc. Judge Ito was a bumbling fool enamored by the cameras and violated judicial ethical canons on a daily basis.

There was NO chance OJ did NOT do it. Cochrane just had to give his peeps a reason not to convict. LAPD was a good scapegoat.

this was a clear case of "jury nullification" by a black jury against "the man."HH6 & I discussed this at the time because many were hawking the notion of the need for a jury of his "peers" (when there isn't actually any such requirement). A jury of his literal peers would've been a completely different socio-economic set - the one he actually lived & moved in - and the entire jury would've been Mr. Clean shades lighter.

Where was the prosecution when it came to choosing that jury?

Judge Ito was a bumbling fool enamored by the cameras and violated judicial ethical canons on a daily basis.

I was on a jury in Ito's court before he was a judge; he was filling in for a judge that was on vacation in the Mental Health Court. I liked the way he ran that one since it was a rather emotional case. I was hopeful when I learned that he would sit on O.J.'s case. I was disappointed.

That was not unusual in L.A. I was on Jury Duty many times in the downtown Criminal Court and the jury pools were almost always huge because judges often allowed unlimited Peremptory Challenges during selection. That made it very easy to pack the jury. On the juries I was selected for, all had at least one who said they'd just go along with whatever the majority wanted. I believe that prospective jurors should only be removed for Cause. If nothing else, it would speed up the selection process.

That's one of the biggest problems in this country, too many people are too damn lazy (or stupid) to think for themselves.
