Something I learned while at the Special Forces Combat Divers Course in Key West in 1969.
Hypoxia: An absence of enough oxygen in the tissues to sustain bodily functions.
As a diver descends to depth, the O2 and other bodily gases are compressed.
This compression allows those gases to percolate thur small orifices.
This picture has nothing to do with hypoxia nor the partial pressure of gasses.
