View Full Version : Skin Cancer........Surgery
I had skin cancer surgery in April , after the biopsy came back with Basil type cancer.
I had a dark spot on my back for that had been bleeding for years. There were other health issue that I had, so I kept putting off to see a dermatologist.
After the surgery my dermatologist said to go fishing, because it will take about 2 to 4 months for the wound to close and heal.
Just remember that cancer grows and it doesn't go away.
prayers for a complete recovery :[
Hope it’s healed up soon.
Yup, I hope it heals up ok. I've had two spots dug out and one irradiated.
Ya gotta pay the piper for those "bronze god" days ....
Now I'm much more careful out in the sun. Cover up..
That stuff will show up when you're older, sometime earlier.
Praying for your healing, sir.

I can go back to the gym, but mostly for lower body training and no exercises for my shoulder.

Good news to hear! Drive on.
Brother I can relate, I started in 2018 with what I thought was a pimple on the right side of my neck under my ear.. it was the infamous Skin Cancer. Next comes my left chest, after that my nose, then my shoulder! Say what you will about the DC VA but dermotology there has been on target with me, They.ve burned off several spots on my head, chest, arms, legs and neck. The only place it hasn't come out yet... well hell I don't even want to think about that.
Stay strong, under cover and get the spots checked even if they don't look like cancer.
Skin cancer update. My wound is closed and I am healed , gonna be a big scar on my back. I have a good dermatologist that is treating my wife also for a spot that they will remove this week.
I always thought the brown spots were no big deal, but they are! Cancer doesn't go away it grows with neglect!
Glad you are healed and best wishes to your wife. Cancer of any type is no joke.
My Dermatologist released me yesterday! Gonna have a big scar and some experience to cover up in the sun from NOW on. I wear floppy jungle hat and a long sleeve shirt now, and its a little bit hotter but wiser, me. Thanks for your support and I hope you don't have to go through skin cancer, it sux!
