What it takes to be a Budweiser Clydesdale.

First and foremost, you have to be a gelding.
Second, you must be big and WHITE

For you non-farm persons, gelding entails having your balls cut off and transitioning to non-binary IT status.:eek:

Coincidence? I think not :munchin:munching

"There's several qualifications they have to meet to be on a Budweiser hitch. One of them is they have to be a gelding, that's a male horse. They have to be bay in color, have a black mane and tale, white blaze face, and with Clydesdales there's always the famous white feathers. They have to have four white feathers," said Clydesdale Handler Grant Johnson.

Heh, much more majestic and affable than any two-legged gelding.
And they can kick field goals...

There are about a thousand registered Clydesdale breeders in America so they have a large pool to choose from. Wonder what they pay for one with just the right colors?

Average 2K to 5k,, BUTT as high as 25K. Budweiser even sells foals to the public.

The Amish/Quaker sects still use draft horses for field work, so the demand is steady.

I never had the chance, but my bucket list still has a ride listed with a BIG GUY :]

Olga Bazhutova is a Rusky photog, and her work is spectacular. These are real, not photoshopped of her daughter. :lifter

RFD-TV has a show called "Gentle Giants". It is about draft horse breeders and people who show the big draft horses. Mark Eaton(RIP) a former NBA player had a Clydesdale and a Friesian that he rode. For those who don't know who Mark was, he was a 7'4" center for the Utah Jazz. The horses' favorite treats were hard candy mints...
