Good to see a deserving soldier rewarded, even 60 years too late.

Congratulations Colonel Davis!
One of the men, who's life the good Captain saved that day, was Billy Waugh.
The same Billy Waugh who 36 years later, at 71 years of age, and only 15 days after the September 11 attacks, would arrive in Afghanistan as a member of the 7-man CIA Northern Alliance Liaison Team and secured the local support that was key to the dramatic over throwing of the Taliban government by coalition forces in only a matter of weeks.
