I see your point, but I’ll postulate that I’m weirdly OK with the “military leadership” being really bad at their actual jobs.

1) The US is virtually impossible to invade by a foreign military power. The logistics are prohibitively cost ineffective.

2) The chances of the average Citizen needing to kick the hell out of their governing overlords are growing exponentially by the day and I prefer my enemies to be castrated morons who couldn’t fight their way out of a wet paper sack.

Hanlon's Razor will only get you so far when you start laying down a pattern misdeeds.

In the 1960's Richard Cloward and Francis Piven wrote "The Weight of the Poor: A Strategy to End Poverty", while both working as professors at Columbia University (coincidentally - Mark Milley has a Masters Degree in international relations from Columbia).
That article lays out a social strategy for creating such a strain on local, state, and federal budgets government budgets through overspending and pandering to the power class by holding them hostage to welfare handouts that it would eventually crash the system...

-It doesn't wash when the former heads of the FBI and CIA conspire to collect, present, and leak fabricated information as 'evidence' and further admitting that they KNEW doing so would help drive an investigation

-Epstien didn't kill himself.

-It doesn't wash when - well, nothing that the democrats do ON PURPOSE washes clean with a splash of Hanlon's Razor.
