His politics aside, I have a love of JT'd music that goes back to the beginning,, so this was a big surprise.

Taylor has a long history of being a true old hippy peacenik. He is quoted as saying Barry was the greatest POTUS ever,, but is he a friend of Joe?

JT wrote it in 1968 and it has three verses.

1) is about a friend who committed suicide,
2) is about Taylor's addiction to heroin,
3) refers to a mental hospital.

Now,, Tell me he didn't send a message to the world. While Joe was mumbling about his great accomplishments, I THINK TJ was throwing shade on POTUS??

Yeah...politics aside JT has been a favorite of mine for decades. One of best of his shows I saw was at a college, seats on 5th row. Just him, his guitar and a reel-to-reel for backing instruments.
