K - reminds me of a funny. Swoop and some other cats here may actually remember this incident:

We're in Haiti and some local knucklehead is persistently trying to get $$ from us as one of the guys allegedly pistol whipped him to the tune of about 39 whacks in the head. We keep telling him to eff-off (typical third-world TTP to get rich) as no one could sustain 39 whacks to the cranium. Somehow, someone brings him into the compound one night as we're standing around BS'ing.

Dude shows up and unwraps his head....he's got 39 distinctive divots (like man-hole sized digs) in his head where the guy went to work on him. How he's alive is simply amazing. The whole thing was absolutely hilarious and we're standing around trying not to bust out laughing as he re-wraps his head like a creature from some ali-babba movie with about 1500 feet of ace bandage and a few bed-sheets.

I think we gave him a double saw-buck and told him to screw.

Think of what this meat-hammer could do to slim!!

That's fearsome looking.

Heard from some of the old timers at The Legion that an M1911A1 made a pretty good hand to hand weapon when your ammunition was gone. That was when handguns were made entirely of steel though.

This has the potential to leave a lasting impression! :D

Not to mention the many culinary uses in the field to soften dehydrated pork patties, potato cakes and other fine cuisine offered by military rations.
