Congratulations and condolences.. :munchin

Might have changed, but the last time I was at White Sands in 74, my opinion was that it was not the place get assigned, unless you were into tarantulas & horny toads and midnight forays into the Red-Light district of Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua ?? :D



1st Special Forces Command - Airborne is at White Sands Missile Range.

1st Special Forces Command (A) officially activates SOF-TEC as a formal command directorate, March 8, 2022, at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.

The Special Operations Forces Training & Experimentation Center will serve as a leading installation for irregular warfare readiness for both USSOF and our partners around the world.

SOF-TEC will test cutting edge designs, equipment, and techniques, and facilitate cyber, electronic warfare, and Space training.

SOF-TEC is headed by Special Forces Colonel Theodore Unbehagen.

Space might be referring to "head space" as in head space and timing :rolleyes:

Now that we have a desert testing area..
We need a mountain/winter one in Alaska AND a BIG wet one in Key West,, across the street from Cpt Tony's :lifter

While it doesn’t sound like a fun posting location, it certainly sounds like fun and interesting work well away from most prying eyes and senior leadership micromanagement.
