Yes, this looks like dementia posturing! This plus his abnormal gait and diminished cognition is diagnostic imho.

Trapper, I saw the posturing and thought of folks with dementia. Looked like he was trying to hold on to the present. I have watched as good people slipped back and forth between the past and present. I had my Aunt write a note to me and the writing slipped from perfect to unreadable during the course of the note I could see the slip back and forth. For Mr. Biden it would appear that he is being given medication to mitigate this behavior. Can a medical professional extrapolate from the dosage given to the patient how long the patient will be conscious of the present? Or is this uncharted territory?
Respectfully,
Bob

Disease progression is best evaluated by blood and/or CSF levels of validated disease bio-matkers. Absent these, we are left behavioral indicators like posturing, gait, cognition, etc. Medical "science" is woefully behind the curve established by molecular biology (real science) especially where neurological disorders like dementia and autism are concerned. My differentiation between medical and real science is intentional.
Allow me to set the scene...

Anytown USA - a small rural spot just a few hours outside the big city. A gentleman sheriff and his overzealous but somewhat incompetent deputy have responded to an unexpected disturbance at a press conference after reports of a man acting strangely....
Sheriff Andy Taylor:
If you ask me, this Joseph Robinette Brandon is a strange and weird character.
Briscoe Darling:
Just plain ornery's what he is.
Deputy Barney Fife:
I think he's a nut.
Barney Fife may not have been a very good police officer -but that mother fucker sure knew "crazy" when he saw it.
