United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) has hired as its first “chief of diversity and inclusion” a person who posted anti-Trump memes on his Facebook page, including one that compared the former president to Adolf Hitler.
SOCOM posted about Richard Torres-Estrada’s hire on Thursday:
USSOCOM welcomes our new Chief of Diversity & Inclusion, Mr. Richard Torres-Estrada. We look forward to his contribution in enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of #SOF through diversity of talent, helping us recruit the best of the best. #QuietProfessionals pic.twitter.com/Z6aJnz91mx
— USSOCOM (@USSOCOM) March 25, 2021
After his hire was announced, some of Torres-Estrada’s apparent social media posts began circulating.
A Facebook account appearing to belong to Torres-Estrada posted on June 2, 2020: “Here I leave this and slowly retire (to continue working from home)…” along with a meme of then-President Donald Trump, holding up a bible in front of St. John’s Episcopal Church after Black Lives Matter protesters set fire to it, next to a photo of Hitler.

You mean the obviously photoshopped photo of Hitler, who in the actual photo (look it up for yourself) is simply holding up his empty hand?

Haven't you heard? If you are on the wrong side then posting those things make you a racist. If you are on the correct side, then posting racist images and messages is actually a tool to fight racism. It's the weekend. Go ahead and have a cold one to keep your brain from melting.
Googled for more info and instantly landed on the strategic plan. Did someone get promoted for coming up with "Line of Effort"?
I wouldn't survive 5 minutes in today's Army.

Don’t you know that the “woke folk” are only exercising their 1st Amendment rights and are to be commended....while the “Un-woke folk”; well they’re just terrorists.
we are directly following the Soviets. We now have "Diversity and Inclusion Officers" (Political Commissars) within the ranks. Just don't go thinking that your "diversity" extends to freedom of speech as you will be cancelled.
It is going to be funny to see how they achieve it now that they removed pictures from the ORB. The anointment's in promotions will have to be much more blatant and divisive to achieve diversity.
Will they divide up the promotions categories like the ACFT?
Is this related to Richard Torres-Estrada?
https://www.socom.mil/Documents/Diversity%20Mag%202021%20final.pdf
Maybe I am missing something, but it crossed my mind that all this emphasis or mission on "Diversity and Inclusion" will not lead to anything Special, but rather Mediocrity.

It would be funny if people started referring to him as comrade Torres. Bet he does not have thick skin.:D
How can this chuckle head relate to team members? Oh they do not care , just comply.
The next thing you know GO level headquarters will be creating positions for political advisors and strategic messaging specialists

The sad part about all this is the what this czar crap really means is they already believe SOF excludes minorities.....even with this movement however alot of the most mysogonistic unprofessional pussy hounds are the CSMs, SGM and MSGs running the asylum.....the good ole boys throwing lines to others like themselves are destroying SF from within....alot of these guys in 10th anyway are anything but woke
By appointing this CZAR this could be either appeasement or a wholehearted effort......by appointing this POS it is clear either the command is lazy or it believes we are all truly racist and mysogonistic aholes......looking at all the last 5 years of golden boy shitbags climbing the ranks the last 5 yrs both E and O it seems to be true and yet a self fullfilling prophecy.
In short the command is saying everyone is racist and mysoginistic oh AND anti Trans or LGBTQ....AND they want promoted....fuck the units under its command.....GEN Votel got aCOCOM for throwing SOCOM under the bus with no resistance and MG Miller got JSOC? for his part...the continuation of Obama in his 3rd administration will more than likely reward the commanders again.....at least the Chinese will be happy watching the most powerful military in the world dismantled
/\ /\ /\ Sadly I agree with the above.
So much for character and personal beliefs in the quest for the never ending status position...Are they really "Commanding" anymore???

After re-giving his speech, I am pretty sure he would have had a hearty meal of meat and potatoes, smoked some cigars, drank some whiskey, shot some fucking bad guys in the face with his .45, then would have stopped by HQ to slap the shit out of a few SJW's - after all that, he'd have gone straight to the officer club to smoke more cigars and drink more whiskey.

Strictly speaking, for such a position in a GO command like that, who's the selecting official(s)? Are egos going to let someone admit that "not a good fit for the job" will smooth things over? Or did this guy simply arrive down the pneumatic tube with orders from the E-ring?
"Reassigned"
He hasn't even unpacked his boxes before the hypocrisy of his hire was made public.
How many folks in here have had jobs in the civil service?
New hire - fucked up shit surfaces - reassigned?
I reckon that probation period means nothing.
Reassigned sounds like it means - giving him a mob style no-show job until the smoke clears and then quietly rename the job they hired him for in the first place.
...we certainly want that work to be transparent, to be credible, to be effective and, of course, professional. We want everybody to take those duties and those responsibilities seriously and professionally
That is some funny fucking shit right there..,
...because 'muh transparency and credibility

Heh. It's almost as if anyone whose mindset revolves around forcing "diversity and inclusion" in an elite organization is going to be a cancerous mental midget across the board. Good luck filling this position permanently, SOCOM. You deserve every bit of nightmarish pain headed your way.
We all agree this is stupid crap and a serious distractor....
Let me put a dif spin on it tho.
This is probably SOCOM playing offense not defense. There have been numerous 'looks' by DoD into SOF as we are not overly 'diverse' and the question is why?
With the Biden admin. and this SJW SECDEF don't wait for them to dig in your sandbox....get ahead of the game.
I don't like it but understand this maneuver. The individual selected looks like a moron tho but I suspect he'd write reports etc. that were praised but went nowhere.
Having experienced this kind of DoD 'look' in the schoolhouse this is my supposition.
Don't take it as SOCOM being on board with this........ more of a hunker down I suspect.

The fact is the lack of concern for protecting the units is an issue that cant be overlooked....anyone one else screws up and brings shame or bad press to the units sayanora kiss your career goodbye all that training, investment and skill out the window....we live and die by our good as well as our poor decisions...but the guy who hired this dimwit has really one job job....screen them.....they require a clearance....the position in older parlance would be considered top cover from D.C.
This was intentional to hire someone like this guy...had no one brought up his social media stuff and made it public would his job be in jeopardy?? Nope....Obamas 3rd administration means return of the political hacks the sychophant culture

US Army launches superwoke recruitment ad (https://thepostmillennial.com/watch-us-army-launches-super-woke-recruitment-ad/)
The latest recruitment ad from the US Army features a girl raised by 2 moms, civil rights protests, a lesbian wedding and women "shattering stereotypes." It has the feeling of checking off boxes, trying to appeal to every facet of intersectionalism, and not actually designed to appeal to those who might be willing to fight and die for their country.
Following the lead of the CIA, the US Army released an ad that seeks to appeal to a new, woke generation. The ad follows a girl named Emma, raise by two moms, one of whom becomes disabled. Emma marched in unspecific civil rights protests, "joined a sorority full of other strong women" but decided to "answer her calling" to join the military.
In Emma's protest, signs can be seen saying "love each other," "respect everyone," and Emma herself is holding a sign saying "be yourself." Emma narrates this by saying she "marched for equality—I'd like to think I've been defending freedom from an early age."
How is this US Army ad not a parody? pic.twitter.com/RwmbJ1ez2G— Ian Miles Cheong (@stillgray) May 12, 2021
The ad series, called "The Calling," is intended to be a five-part video series that follows the stories of five "diverse" soldiers from different backgrounds who all joined the military. Corporal Emma Malonelord portrayed in this ad is said to be "a soldier who operates the Patriot Missile Defense System."
This new trend has been coined by some as "woke-washing." The ad by the CIA that sparked the term encourages every "single person, whatever their gender, gender identity, race, disability, or sexual orientation, can bring their entire self to work every day." The CIA ad features a gay agency librarian who finds comfort in LGBT symbolism, aka a rainbow, displayed on CIA lanyards.
Internet trolls quickly jumped on both ads, creating memes that depict children in the Middle East eagerly anticipating the day that drone strikes will be performed by women. Others depicted bombers dropping payloads now sporting rainbow flags and the Black Lives Matter logo.

I was over in Italy (SETAF) with the 1/509th. We had to turn in an empty toilet paper roll to get a new one, and we had to turn in a burnt light bulb to get a new one..if they had one. I shit you not.
I worked in the motor pool then, we had stacks of order punch tickets to order vehicle parts, when money finally came through, we'd submit them to get vehicles off of dead line... ahhh the times. Our paychecks were also late a few times...

The United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) confirmed it has reinstated its chief of diversity and inclusion, Richard Torres-Estrada, following an investigation into politically charged social media posts he made, including one that compared former President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler.
SOCOM said in an email statement to Breitbart News on Friday:
Mr. Torres-Estrada has resumed the duties of the Chief of Diversity & Inclusion for United States Special Operations Command after a USSOCOM commander-directed investigation into the circumstances surrounding his hiring concluded and found no violations of law or DoD regulation.
SOCOM reassigned Torres-Estrada in late March after some of his social media posts drew attention for their anti-Trump and anti-Republican leanings. For example, on June 2, 2020, he tweeted a meme that criticized Trump by comparing a photo of him to a doctored photo of Hitler.

I don't even have a "shocked face" for things like this anymore. It's ironic that a guy that uses Stalinesque photo manipulation to attack his political foes is allowed to compare his boss to Hitler without any relevant and lasting consequence.
Just imagine Stalin calling Hitler a fascist - so funny.

Nellis Air Force Base said in an email statement to Breitbart News:
Nellis Air Force Base and the 99th Air Base Wing hosted its first-ever drag show Thursday, June 17, at the Nellis Club. The event was sponsored by a private organization and provided an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the history and significance of drag performance art within the LGBT+ community.
Ensuring our ranks reflect and are inclusive of the American people is essential to the morale, cohesion, and readiness of the military. Nellis Air Force Base is committed to providing and championing an environment that is characterized by equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion.

I recall a day in SERE school when they tried to make us do the “2 minutes of hate session”.
Apparently that is taught at the GO staff level now, but instead of learning to resist it, you’re encouraged to embrace it!
Who are we at war with? Eurasia or Eastasia? I forget.

Its all about how you market things...
It's not called "2 Minutes of Hate" - those are bad words in today's political landscape. It's much better to encourage "critical thinking" in your subordinates.
Being indoctrinated to "critical thinking" is how you learn that the swim test is racist. Once you are indoctrinated to "critical thinking" you learn that we are not "lowering standards" what we are REALLY doing is 'removing obstacles' that prevent students from progressing. Once you are indoctrinated to "critical thinking" you realize that the brass isn't involved in sociopolitical activism - they are "leading change"
Being indoctrinated into the beauty of critical thinking is how senior leaders are able to learn catch phrases like "speaking truth to power" in the war college and still keep a staight face when they tell their troops, "well the boss likes it, which means I like it"
Being indoctrinated by the false flag of "critical thinking" is how you come to confuse the idea of submitting to peer pressure with the much more laudable characteristic of being an "early adopter"
Unfortunately, that is the same 'Innovation Model' that most ass kissers use to label people that prefer the facts normally associated with research and analysis as "Laggards"
Diversity and Inclusion are in no way associated with creating a diverse body of work and are in no way designed to include everyone in the decisions making process.
They are just two fancy words used by activists to normalize and encourage their own favorite flavor of "2 Minutes of Hate"
...but make no mistake - a guy that uses a photo shopped image to undermine the president is neither diverse nor inclusive. He is just another bureaucratic snake that has been given the keys to the castle.
I have spoken.

You should probably sit down because I am about to pour a bottle of nightmare fuel into your tank...
-critical thinking
-leading change
-removing obstacles
-speaking truth to power
-well the boss likes it, which means I like it
-early adopter
EVERY.SINGLE.PHRASE.IS.STOLEN
-encouraging critical thinking in subordinates came from a BG that also referred to his leg 2LT secretary as a special operator because EVERYONE in the unit is a special operator
-leading change came from a senior DAC that lives in the ear of the command team
-'removing obstacles' is a newish term that should sound familiar to our SWC brothers lurking the boards
-speaking truth to power is a power phrase from War College graduates and I cant count how many times I heard that crap when President Trump was in office
-'the boss likes it therefore I like it' was from a senior leader while talking to ODA/ODB leadership
-early adopter was recently uttered by a senior leader
All but the DAC is an SF guy.
If it was just sarcasm, it would be funny. It isn't just sarcasm - those are comments and phrases quoted from senior leaders.
If I REALLY had the power of innovative original thinking needed to come up with this kind of shit on my own - I'd have the wealth and power to go with it and I wouldn't have to hang around on a bulletin board - I'd be on a yacht, on hanging out at the beach on my own private continent.
...not a private island - a private continent

To paraphrase Indigo Montoya: “You keep using that phrase. I don’t think it means what you think it means.”
Those whose said “critical thinking” actually meant “critical theory”, which is the opposite of critical thinking. Had they actually been employing and promoting critical thinking, most of the crap we’re currently dealing with would have been mocked with derisive laughter and tossed out of the building.

Critical Race Theory essentially holds that U.S. society is inherently or systemically racist.
Mao, Marx, Lenin and yes Critical Race Theory could be said to “speak” to those who wish to “fundamentally transform” American society.
Could CRT be used to divide and conquer a society?
Could race, rather than economics, be a catalyst for the next great Marxist-Leninist revolution? Could race be used to foment the classic Marxist-Leninist “class struggle?”
Purely rhetorical - I wonder if the General suggests that they teach CRT in that context ?

‘Where Are the Admirals? Where Are the Generals? Where Are the Veterans?’
By Jeff M. Lewis

On 17 August 1955, President Dwight D. Eisenhower prescribed a Code of Conduct for members of the Armed Forces of the United States. The purpose was to inform each service member in a combat unit about their basic responsibilities when engaged in combat or if they were captured by enemy forces. Of the six articles, the first and sixth articles are particularly powerful reminders about the Armed Forces’ mission and the dedication each member requires to complete that mission:
Article 1
I am an American, fighting in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
Article 6
I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.
It’s a matter of primary importance when recruiting a skilled and talented all-volunteer military force that the institution and its members, along with the desire to serve our country, firmly believe in America’s unique and moral character and the freedoms from which we all benefit. Along with these beliefs and desires, each member of the military must also develop a strong loyalty to his or her brothers and sisters in arms.
These tenets are foundational to a purposeful, effective fighting force. To go into combat, one must fully believe that the United States’ cause and purpose are just and morally upright. The mission must be clear: To fight and win.
Each person serving must see fellow service members as integral and necessary parts of this mission. Studies of 20th-century wars, especially the experiences of those captured and held as prisoners of war, have repeatedly shown that this foundational relationship between fellow service members, their belief in the cause for which they are fighting, and their belief in the United States of America are all vitally important to survival.
As a 20-year veteran of the United States Navy, I was taught this Code of Conduct and instructed in the responsibilities that accompanied my service. These Core Values enabled me to develop attitudes and behaviors that embody and represent the best of America’s values and founding principles. During my time in the Navy, fairness, equity, and equal opportunity were integral to the service and were relentlessly instilled in the military’s culture. Perhaps just as importantly, I have seen the concomitant diversity that is the natural by-product of this culture, because it rewards hard work, talent, and ability for their own sake, for their undeniable merit, and for the betterment and preservation of America itself.
Given the inherent and undeniable virtues of this colorblind, merit-based system based upon shared values, the Armed Forces of the United States travel a pernicious and destructive path if they embrace Critical Race Theory, with its core belief that America and her citizenry are irredeemably racist, along with the tenets of “white supremacy,” “whiteness,” “white privilege,” “white fragility,” and “systemic” or “institutional racism.”
Critical Race Theory does not build up, it tears down. There is nothing aspirational or uplifting about it. And as a springboard to establishing “diversity” as a goal unto itself, as its own concurrent priority, inculcating those values into troops will not equip the military to succeed at its first, and most important goal, which is to fight and win in armed conflict.
Critical Race Theory is antithetical to the principles each military branch teaches, particularly in “boot camp” or “basic training.” This entry-level training -- and the arduous nature of the entire indoctrination into military service -- must necessarily diminish each recruit’s or candidate’s individual identity and replace it with the aspirational goal of becoming part of a successful, elite team with its own service’s unique culture and esprit de corps.
Critical Race Theory, by contrast, undermines the necessary team building and teaches that all interactions with others will be based solely according to race. Nothing could be further from reality when each branch of service in the Armed Forces properly acts in accordance with its core values and the guiding principles that have made America truly exceptional in human history.
So, given this deviation from core principles, I must ask: “Where are the Admirals?” “Where are the Generals?” Just as importantly, where are my fellow veterans, and why are we allowing what all should recognize as a crass, purely political, fraudulent, and destructive ideology to erode the foundations of military service and success? Why are we silent while these toxic and corrosive ideals are taught to our Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guards?
The Armed Forces have an undeniable history of equal opportunities for advancement and achievement for all who serve. Therefore, Critical Race Theory has no value as a course of instruction for the military services because this history proves that neither America nor her military are “irredeemably racist” cultures or institutions. To the contrary, our already diverse military’s undeniable success provides its own irrefutable testimony to the greatness of the nation the military’s members take an oath to defend -- with their own lives, if necessary.
My “real-world” experience has shown me that all unit commanders who consistently enforce Constitutional principles and sticks strictly with the core values and guiding principles that define their branch of service will avoid any race defining or determining outcomes. The United States military’s command structure and meritocracy -- the merit-based system of performance evaluation and promotion – have guaranteed in the past, and will continue to guarantee in the future, an overwhelmingly “color-blind” system of achievement that benefits not only the individual, but the Team, and our country.
If the American military, in connection with its primary mission to fight and win, desires to field a military force (and promote leaders from within its ranks) that reflects more closely the racial distribution in America, it must begin now, with young people, to recruit and inform America’s youth about the high calling and the unique opportunities associated with military service. Our children must know they have a Future Story. That story leads to hope and aspirational goals that are greater than themselves.
They must be taught why America is exceptional, making it a beacon of freedom in the world, and why we as a nation have the high calling to actively advocate -- and sometimes to fight -- for the freedoms we hold so dear. If America expects to continue to field a military force that is second-to-none in its talent, technology, and ability to win, America must raise up the patriots who will be willing to serve the nation and serve alongside their brothers and sisters from all walks of life, from every corner, every avenue, hill, and dale of the nation.
Critical Race Theory, which is predicated on misrepresenting America’s history and culture inter-changeably as “systemically racist” or “institutionally racist,” and which blames these factors for every societal ill and unequal outcome, is a divisive and destructive lie. There is nothing inherent in these ideologies, these attitudes, and the hatred for America they espouse that is beneficial to anyone, much less to the United States military.
So, again I need to say it…I need to ask: Where are the Admirals? Where are the Generals? Where are my fellow Veterans? Why are we allowing this racist cancer to infect the ranks of the most educated, most talented, and most lethal military to ever exist in human history?

I think what we fail to understand is that when CRT becomes “mainstream” then that IS our “American Way”. The words in that article can be twisted and turned by a skillful orator, and most assuredly have been over the last few decades.
I am an American fighting in the forces that guard my country and our way of life,
I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender the
members of my command while they still have the means to resist.
If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every
effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special
favors from the enemy.
If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no
information nor take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades.
If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those
appointed over me and will back them up in every way.
Should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give name, rank,
service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of
my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies.
I will never forget that I am an American fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions,
and dedicated to the principles which made my country free.
I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.
What is the “our way of life”? The Constitution? The Supreme Court rulings? Congressional Laws? Executive Orders? Voting? Mob Rules? Critical/communist Race Theorems? LGBTQRSTUV+/-? MAGA?
No definition = whoever is in charge gets to define it.

What a power grab.
Open our borders, degrade our military, subvert our people, drug and demoralize our populace, spend into insolvency, practically air-drop ballots for national elections, defund our police, increase crime with bail reform, confiscate our weapons, etc., etc.,etc.,...that shining city on the hill is a great prize indeed...and with a bit more help she will be ripe for the taking. And, the best part is that the fools might even vote for it.
...the best part is that the fools might even vote for it.
The "fools" have been voting to usher it in for several generations now. Obama TOLD people he wanted to fundamentally change things and he was gifted with eight years of uninterrupted free run with his pen and his phone.
...even told Americans to eat their fucking peas - nobody seems to care !!!
Now former VP b!dEn has informed us that F-15's and Nukes could be used against American citizens that want to continue to enjoy their 2d amendment rights. All because a nation full thin skinned self righteous voters can't bear to have a rude man with questionable morals in the white house.
...the same folks that thought the FIRST 45 presidents where apparently paragons of virtue.
Sadly, the Nation deserves what she gets and it wont be much longer until we are no longer told to eat our peas - we will stand in line to beg for our peas - but at least 45 is gone. Thats what mattered most.

You know Box, I have been acquainted with quite a few men who are big wheels, not billionaires, but millionaires and people in positions of power and the vast majority of them are just like Trump. One told me straight up "I can have ANY woman I want, everyone has a price". They grab pussy, they bang waitresses, they bang staff on boxes in the file room, they have mistresses, they move their girl friends and their kids close by, they pimp out clients who owe them money and they brag about it. In some cases their wives are doing much the same with Johnny the Pool Guy, or Biff the trainer.
What's funny is that many of the people who despise Trump, happily work for these people :D

The exact same thing is true of powerful politicians (and their families). The difference is they a protected by the press. Hunter Biden comes to mind.
The power of the Press lies in it's ability to reveal or conceal. The latter is the most powerful.

So true.
Similarly with law enforcement, auditors and prosecutors - their discretion - not only to “enforce” but to look the other way or minimize a given situation is very, very powerful. If these positions become politicized...well...things start to crumble. We are well into the politicization phase.
What's funny is that many of the people who despise Trump, happily work for these people :D

It's fitting of course that a democratic presidency was so connected with a fabled tale of kings ruling over their kingdom, adultry, betrayal, more adultery, the largesse of the ruling class and the despair of the peasant class, and ultimately the fall of the kingdom and the eventual tragic death of the king at the hands of one of his own countrymen)

Of course, we cant blame President Reagan for what he couldn't remember about Iran/Contra because he was pretty old by that point. Oddly, most of the never-Trumpers thought 'ole Ronnie was the savior of conservative values. Of course, these same never-Trumpers were never-Reagans back in the day because he was just another former democrat celebrity turned populist Republican outsider that...

-Clinton was - well, fuck I don't even know where to start with this fucking hillbilly; maybe the part about him losing the fucking nuclear launch codes FOR MONTHS before anyone said anything about it; maybe sodomizing a government clerk with a cigar; maybe his list of rape accusations; maybe even the fact that he was a product of 1960's academia that didn't even understand the meaning of the word "IS" - hot tip Bill - the word "IS" would be defined as: the 3rd person indicative of the verb, "to be" it means TO BE you womanizing prick TO BE...

-Bush was a coke head that couldn't get out of his own way and made speeches that sounded like they were written by late night talk show comedians...

and who cares - he sure was fun to watch - one day he hadn't used illicit drugs in 7 years - two or three days later he hadn't used them in over 25 years
then he signed that dang no student left behind bill - so our kids would learn math and know the difference between seven years ago and a quarter of a century ago
-Obama was a pot head and a Marxist that had beer summits and philosophical musings about how teenage criminals could have been his kid - he also opened the door for this current idiot - then there was his his extrajudicial drone strike on a US citizen, fast and furious, Benghazi, IRS, Solyndra, operation CHOKE POINT - the fucking list of crooked shit goes on and on.
If you think that I don't know about the little tricks you've played Obama, Well, here's a poke at you, I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
(more references to lyrics by Roger Daltry of course)
...but somehow a billionaire real estate mogul-playboy-reality-TV star that made an obnoxious comment to Billy Bush about the celebrity whores that flock to rich and wealthy and powerful men was just more than some people could bare.

I wish it was that easy my friend.
Load sharing is impossible against the backdrop of diversity and inclusion. "Sharing" suggests equality.
Equity is the goal here. Equity cannot happen when we share the load. Equity only exists when any given demographic is doing less work for greater recognition.
We need equity to reach true diversity.

Great Googly Moogly Box. That was Finest Kind rant! :lifter
WARNING The following is another rant!
I listened to Gen Milley's opinions during his Senate testimony. I am embarrassed that this obsequious meat sack is Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, but more disturbingly, that he is tabbed!
My 5-year old grandson has better critical thinking skills...you otta hear his reasoning why he got a cookie before dinner. :D
But, back to my point, Milley's acceptance of CRT and the need to purge "white extremism" from the military just validated the "neofascists" entire premise that our country and its institutions are systemically racist.
If that wasn't bad enough, he said that he wants to understand "white rage" Good Grief! that dumb ass did it again, Pay attention Bub! "White Rage" is not real! It's a straw man manufactured by the neofascists to divide us. You just took the bait and validated their entire argument.
I am still in shock that in the matter of 30 minutes the Chairman of Joint Chiefs totally undermined the institution of the U.S. Military instead of defending it.
Is there some way that his tab can be revoked at least? He is an embarrassment to the Regiment. JMHO
Trapper John, the fish rots from the head down. The general must have been a devotee of Obama. We are barely into Biden's term and things are getting uglier by the minute.

Thank you for posting the American Thinker article. Of course I do not need to tell you that the Admirals and Generals are AWOL and it's up to us brother. No surprise there huh?
Glenn Greenwald, in the article below, continues the discussion on some seemingly unusual military priorities and concerns.
Recall, General Milley is The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and as such is the highest-ranking and most senior military officer in the United States Armed Forces and is the principal military advisor to the president, the National Security Council, the Homeland Security Council, and the secretary of defense.
Given that enormous role and those responsibilities...it does not seem unusual that his recent comments (along with the subject of the OP here - the appointment of a DIE (diversity, inclusion & equity) Czar at SOCOM) be given scrutiny.
What is Behind Gen. Mark Milley's Righteous Race Sermon? Look to the New Domestic War on Terror.
The overarching ideology of Pentagon officials is larger military budgets and ongoing permanent war posture. Their new war target, explicitly, is domestic "white rage."
Glenn Greenwald
June 25, 2021
For two hundred forty years, American generals have not exactly been defined by adamant public advocacy for left-wing cultural dogma. Yet there appeared to be a great awakening at the Pentagon on Wednesday when Gen. Mark Milley, the highest-ranking military officer in the U.S. as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, testified at a House hearing. The Chairman vehemently defended the teaching of critical race theory at West Point and, referencing the January 6 Capitol riot, said, “it is important that we train and we understand ... and I want to understand white rage. And I'm white."
In response to conservative criticisms that top military officials should not be weighing in on inflammatory and polarizing cultural debates, liberals were ecstatic to have found such an empathetic, racially aware, and humanitarian general sitting atop the U.S. imperial war machine. Overnight, Gen. Milley became a new hero for U.S. liberalism, a noble military leader which — like former FBI Director Robert Mueller before him — no patriotic, decent American would question let alone mock. Some prominent liberal commentators warned that conservatives are now anti-military and even seek to defund the Pentagon.
It is, of course, possible that the top brass of the U.S. military has suddenly become supremely enlightened on questions of racial strife and racial identity in the U.S., and thus genuinely embraced theories that, until very recently, were the exclusive province of left-wing scholars at elite academic institutions. Given that all U.S. wars in the post-World War II era have been directed at predominantly non-white countries, which — like all wars — required a sustained demonization campaign of those enemy populations, having top Pentagon officials become leading anti-racism warriors would be quite a remarkable transformation indeed. But stranger things have happened, I suppose.
But perhaps there is another explanation other than righteous, earnest transformation as to why the top U.S. General has suddenly expressed such keen interest in studying and exploring "white rage”. Note that Gen. Milley's justification for the military's sudden immersion in the study of modern race theories is the January 6 Capitol riot — which, in the lexicon of the U.S. security state and American liberalism, is called The Insurrection. When explaining why it is so vital to study "white rage,” Gen. Milley argued:
What is it that caused thousands of people to assault this building and try to overturn the Constitution of the United States of America? What caused that? I want to find that out. I want to maintain an open mind here, and I do want to analyze it.
The post-WW2 military posture of the U.S. has been endless war. To enable that, there must always be an existential threat, a new and fresh enemy that can scare a large enough portion of the population with sufficient intensity to make them accept, even plead for, greater military spending, surveillance powers, and continuation of permanent war footing. Starring in that war-justifying role of villain have been the Communists, Al Qaeda, ISIS, Russia, and an assortment of other fleeting foreign threats.
According to the Pentagon, the U.S. intelligence community, and President Joe Biden, none of those is the greatest national security threat to the United States any longer. Instead, they all say explicitly and in unison, the gravest menace to American national security is now domestic in nature. Specifically, it is "domestic extremists” in general — and far-right white supremacist groups in particular — that now pose the greatest threat to the safety of the homeland and to the people who reside in it.
In other words, to justify the current domestic War on Terror that has already provoked billions more in military spending and intensified domestic surveillance, the Pentagon must ratify the narrative that those they are fighting in order to defend the homeland are white supremacist domestic terrorists. That will not work if white supremacists are small in number or weak and isolated in their organizing capabilities. To serve the war machine's agenda, they must pose a grave, pervasive and systemic threat.
Viewed through that lens, it makes perfect sense that Gen. Milley is spouting the theories and viewpoints that underlie this war framework and which depicts white supremacy and "white rage” as a foundational threat to the American homeland. A new domestic War on Terror against white supremacists and right-wing extremists is far more justifiable if, as Gen. Milley strongly suggested, it was "white rage” that fueled an armed insurrection that, in the words of President Biden, is the greatest assault on American democracy since the Civil War.
Within that domestic War on Terror framework, Gen. Milley, by pontificating on race, is not providing cultural commentary but military dogma. Just as it was central to the job of a top Cold War general to embrace theories depicting Communism as a grave threat, and an equally central part of the job of a top general during the first War on Terror to do the same for Muslim extremists, embracing theories of systemic racism and the perils posed to domestic order by “white rage” is absolutely necessary to justify the U.S. Government's current posture about what war it is fighting and why that war is so imperative.
None of this means that Gen. Milley's defense of critical race theory and woke ideology is purely cynical and disingenuous. The U.S. military is a racially diverse institution and — just as is true for the CIA and FBI — endorsing modern-day theories of racial and gender diversity can be important for workplace cohesion and inspiring confidence in leadership. And many people in various sectors of American life have undergone radical changes in their speech if not their belief system over the last year — that is, after all, the purpose of the sustained nationwide protest movement that erupted in the wake of the killing of George Floyd — due either to conviction, fear of loss of position, or both. One cannot reflexively discount the possibility that Gen. Milley is among those whose views have changed as the cultural climate shifted around him.
But it is preposterously naive and deceitful to divorce Gen. Milley's steadfast advocacy of racial theories from the current war strategy of the U.S. military that he leads. The Pentagon's prime targets, by their own statements, are sectors of the U.S. population that they regard as major threats to the national security of the United States. Embracing theories that depict “white rage” and white supremacy as the source of domestic instability and violence is not just consistent with but necessary for the advancement of that mission. Put another way, the doctrine of the U.S. intelligence and military community is based on race and ideology, and it should therefore be unsurprising that the worldview promoted by top generals is racialist in nature as well.
Whatever else is true, it is creepy and tyrannical to try to place military leaders and their pronouncements about war off-limits from critique, dissent and mockery. No healthy democracy allows military officials to be venerated to the point of residing above critique. That is especially true when their public decrees are central to the dangerous attempt to turn the war posture of the U.S. military inward to its own citizens.

From my view point…
That bowl full of dicks must be tasting pretty good Gen. (Turncoat) M!113y.
“I just want to keep my job!”
Which Founding Father said it would be dangerous to our Constitutional Republic to have a “standing army”? (Jefferson or Adams or was it someone else?)

Machevelli in "The Prince" talked about the dangers of a professional army. He also spoke to the topic of what to do when they are no longer needed.
I was wondering how long it would take for the current warfighters to be targeted.

Better to resign and live with one's integrity than to sell out and have to look in the mirror every day.
It isn't like there was another promotion waiting for him.
Makes me wonder how long he believed this tripe.

There no need for some folks to resign if looking into the mirror is the cost of selling out - vampires cant see their own reflection in a mirror.
...its science
Makes me wonder how long he believed this tripe.
At least since June 2020 when he rejected Trump using the Insurrection Act....then he circled back around with the Joint Chiefs of Staff to condemn the "Treason and Sedition" on January 6th 2021.
“As we have done throughout our history (except for President Trump), the U.S. military will obey lawful orders from civilian leadership (except for President Trump), support civilian authorities to protect lives and property (except for President Trump), ensure public safety in accordance with the law (except for President Trump), and remain fully committed to protecting and defending the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic (except for President Trump). As Service Members, we must embody the values and ideals of the Nation (except for President Trump). We support and defend the Constitution (except for President Trump). Any act to disrupt the Constitutional process is not only against our traditions, values and oath; it is against the law (except for President Trump)
Miley and the Joint Chiefs condemning January 6th is the Pot Calling the Kettle Black....their sedition and treason began much earlier than even June 2020.

I don’t recall any of his policies, nor do I recall him specifically, but I highly doubt he’s ever had integrity to begin with. ETA: but hey, let’s blow up some empty buildings in Syria (or is that Libya) to take the focus away from me.) Like Gen. Mattis before him there seems to be a point of no return for the loyalties these people swallowed to get those last couple of stars. (Clearly there is an alliance to Team Obama - with McCrystal, Scott Miller, and my all time favorite Admiral McRaven.)
I knew Major General Sidney Shachnow (I know not a CJCS), and I knew General John Shalikashvili (professionally and personally), both had integrity in surplus even though they grew up under B. Clinton. I don’t remember Hugh Shelton selling out the military for political theater either but, while I disagree with his political views and continued support of the Clinton crime family, I believe him to be an honorable man with an abundance of integrity and respect for the office of Commander and Chief - regardless of who sits in the chair. In my life/career I don’t ever recall the CJCS selling out the troops for political purposes no matter how misguided some of their actions were (Colon Powell).
I’m certain that General John Kelly kept a secret ring-knocker handshake to undermine the Trump presidency and the power within the swamp of D.C politics was alive and well and everyone knows it.
That’s why they are all trying so hard to sell this bullshit we are being sold from everyone! If there is systemic racism and a white supremacy problem in America since at least the late 1960s it’s a straw man argument made up by Jim Crow racists still left in the Democratic National Party. Everyone else moved on in the 1970s and forgot about affirmative action by the end of the 1980s - Except the true racists and Marxists that are still butt hurt because they don’t get their way. These radical 1960s hateful people will never be happy and they wave a false flag and a clinching fist just as they did back then. They will never ever be happy and they are so far removed from history that they are now making it up from thin air.
This division needs to stop…full stop…if it doesn’t happen soon the fabric and character of this country will forever be changed and those butt hurt people are going to look back at all those previous achievements made since the reconstruction era after the Civil War and ask themselves - “what did we do, we tore it all down and no one came along to fix it?”
I don’t want my young son to grow up in this America, it’s not the one I have selflessly sacrificed so much for with nothing but respect for everyone regardless of where you came from or the color of your skin, your sex or sexual preferences or what God you worshiped or didn’t…I just didn’t care and wasn’t brought up that way to judge others without first judging and correcting myself to treat other as I would want them to treat me. Those are still the values and integrity principles I try to instill in my son. Words matter but actions and deeds will be how other people will judge him.
Rant mode off…
When the time comes for those actions and deeds to restore the normal and logical order, sanity and the sanctity of this once great nation, count me in. Justice and judgment will come for those who undermined the country for political or personal gains at the expense and persecution of their fellow citizens…we know how this ends…history is replete with examples and I don’t mean the revisionist history being taught in schools these days to the lost ignorant generation - Gen-Z/Millennials. Hey here’s a hint: Che Guevara wasn’t a liberator, socialism never works for the people, and while Viking women may have truly been bad-asses and hardy they were no match against the English armies. Oh and Joan of Arc was a devout believer in God and his son Jesus, while an unusual heroine she wasn’t all that strong (physically) but still able to lead from the front an army to victory…she didn’t seek recognition and didn’t do it for girl-power - she also knew she was a woman. Lastly, I don’t think we need to discuss Hitler/fascism/Nazis but it does seem that the lost ignorant generation and their professors don’t know much about that issue…they seem to confuse that period and it’s outcome often with what they are searching for now.
Okay really, rant mode off. :D

Like Gen. Mattis before him there seems to be a point of no return for the loyalties these people swallowed to get those last couple of stars. There is evidence of this going back to LBJ's attempts to keep VN affairs tamped down until he could get elected in '64. To do that he still had McNamara, and McNamara had Maxwell Taylor as CJCS who was basically tamping down a rebellion from the service chiefs (who included Curtis LeMay as AF Chief), they advocating more definitive action, or none. Writings I've seen clearly indicate that the President's "principal military advisors" were discounted or outright ignored in favor of one man (CJCS as valve), who would support one man (McNamara as gatekeeper), who supported one man, LBJ. Taylor was very clear in his writings before he was tapped to be Ambassador to RVN that a CJCS ought to be someone who could robustly serve the policy desires of the President (as Paslode mentions, except for President Trump). Wisened military counsel be damned.

Some say the war college - but there is no proof. Sort of like the stories of back room lobotomies being done on E-9's at Bliss.
Lots of evidence - never any proof.
“Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.”
― Voltaire
Posted previously but seems an appropriate reminder as the absurdity coming from DC is on full display...just when will the other shoe drop ? That’s the next multi-trillion dollar stimy question.
“Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.”
So, what exactly is an atrocity and who sets the definition?
Is it eco-terrorists studding trees to hurt the loggers so they can save the owls - putting crushed glass in dog food to save the ducks ??
Is it abortion clinic bombers killing doctors to save the babies?
Is it Hitlers final solution?
Is it the firebombing of Dresden or dropping nukes on Japan?
Was it the US government giving the Tuskegee Airmen herpes so they could be deported to Mexico?
Atrocity is a word defined by the winning team my friend.
...its just like watching democrats define what constitutes "violent rioters"
It always HAS been and it always WILL be.
Voltaire knew that - he just liked fucking with people.

No argument here.
Better to be on the winning team.
Hard to believe as it is - there are those who are still in denial that we, as a nation, are in play.
The cultural marxists are deeply embedded in our nation across the spectrum.
Soon, they will push so hard that they may even create a backlash - every action causing an equal and opposite reaction and all that jazz. Ah, that cosmic law of cause and effect.
And, just think...if those who push back are white - the cultural marxists have already issued pronouncements - on high - to say I told you so.
They are defining words, creating terms, supporting arguments yet to be made, and authoring history as we speak.

Is it the firebombing of Dresden or dropping nukes on Japan?
History loves winners. Interesting you mention that one. There are some strike photos of Japanese cities in my Dad's unit history, AFTER LeMay became HMFIC and directed:
1. Ditch half the guns & half the crew; carry more incendiaries.
2. You overpaid MF'ers are going in at 8,000 ft instead of 23,000. You are going to drop that stuff where it will do the most damage.
Some of those photos make 7 August at Hiroshima look like a miss; like an Etch-A-Sketch turned upside down and well-shaken. This from a guy whose sensibilities were offended by some of the classiest nose-art in history.
Atrocity? Or just "Welcome to unlimited warfare; when you've killed enough of them they stop fighting."
Edit: And now back to diversity, where the nose-art features, blondes, brunettes, redheads...
“Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.”
One can read the word “atrocities” less literally and more broadly to include violence against the Constitution.
The absurdities emanating from DC might easily change the direction of this nation for the worse.
To my mind, if that change in direction destroys the greatest nation ever for individual freedom (imperfect, yes) but a beacon for freedom for the rest of the world, that would be an atrocity.
Nonsense...
All too often we choose to take things "less literally" - When people show you who they are - believe them. Take these mother fuckers literally.
There is a reason Bill Clinton's wife labeled 50% of the electorate as a bunch of deplorable and irredeemable ne'er do wells...
Because she believes it.
There's a reason that Joe said he strong-armed Ukraine, and wants to take over the oil industry
and the coal industry
and take away your private property
and has said your unalienable rights are not absolute
That ain't no metaphoric shit they are preaching up there on the dais.
When Barack Hussein Obama said he wanted to fundamentally change the USA, HE.FUCKING.MEANT.THAT.SHIT.
When Pelosi said that all republicans were an existential threat, she meant it.
Believe what these mother fuckers are telling you. For the love of bubble gum and Belgian waffles, take them seriously and stop giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Tracking.
Joe and Nancy ain’t no Voltaire neither is Barry.
I prefer to read the Voltaire quote (an advocate for free speech) broadly as relates to the danger facing the nation. It presents some benefit to do so.
Joe, Nancy, Barry and the Klinton crime family not so much. They do tell you who they are and I believe them.

Sounds like a great foundation for a presidential campaign. When are you tossing in your hat?
"Sounds like a great foundation for a presidential campaign. When are you tossing in your hat? "
My thoughts exactly!!
Unleash the Boxon (Boxen??)!!
Box for President!! Or at least the Senate!!
Box "on the stump" would be a sight to see!!
Sounds like a great foundation for a presidential campaign. When are you tossing in your hat?
On what party platform?
I could run as a republican that wants to simplify the tax code - but there are a lot of republican legislators that would back stab me for undermining their income scams they run on the peoples dollar.
I could run as a democrats that promises to finally address immigration with meaningful changes - but there are a lot of democratic legislators that would back stab me for undermining their pet projects and forcing them to record payroll taxes for all the the undocumented workers that they pay in cash.
I could run as a Libertarian, but then I'd have to convince all of the hippies that my number one priority was legalizing recreational drug use. Then I'd have to figure out what it REALLY was that Libertarians stand for since "we seek a world of liberty in which all individuals are sovereign over their own lives" is the most mind numbing noncommittal platform ever.
...because we all know that the republican and democrat platforms succinctly state that they are against liberty and freedom
No thanks my friend - my contrarian lifestyle and inability to accept any action emanating from the government as "sincere" expressly prohibit my engagements in politics as a professional venture.
