This is what the scum in DC think about the troops sent there to "guard" them:

Michigan National Guard Troops in DC Hospitalized After Democrat Run City Repeatedly Feeds Them Raw, Undercooked Meat and Meals With Metal Shavings
By Kristinn Taylor
Published March 1, 2021 at 7:50pm

More than a dozen Michigan National Guard troops deployed to Washington, D.C. have been sickened, with some hospitalized, after being served raw, undercooked meat and meals laced with metal shavings according to a report by WXYZ-TV reporter Brian Abel Monday evening. Other meals the troops have received courtesy of a contractor selected by the Democrat run D.C. government are leaving the troops malnourished. The problem with the undercooked food has being going for weeks but apparently yesterday’s meals were so bad they prompted a staff sergeant to contact the Detroit news station.

I think it is inaccurate to suggest that such a disservice to deployed service members is truly representative of what the DC politicians think about the troops sent there to "guard" them.

First and foremost that line of thinking ASSUMES that the entitled ruling class in DC even considers the needs of public servants.
I believe it was John Kerry and other democrats that have frequently opined that it is an all volunteer force; if they'd have gone to kah-lidge they wouldn't be stuck serving in the military...

The same folks that consider returning service members a "threat" because of their radicalized view on freedom and patriotism.

The same folks that don't give a shit that you are sleeping in a parking garage eating the cheapest food from the lowest bidder that the comptroller could dig up.

The same folks that never miss a hair salon appointment even during a pandemic.

The same folks that are allowed to make millions on legal insider trading deals.

The same folks that are able to raise YOUR taxes while keeping "their" money legally sheltered in off-shore accounts.

The same people that are happy to ration YOUR health care on a broken web site while getting life long premium health care on the shoulders of YOUR tax money

...lets not pretend that "those" are the folks we are mad at.

Be mad at the society that has enabled them through grants of unlimited power. Besides, these troops are from Michigan they have spent years empowering politicians that provide them with poison water. They should be almost immune to this sort of treatment by their elected representatives.

For what it's worth from NYpost.

https://nypost.com/2021/02/15/politicians-want-answers-about-national-guards-lengthy-dc-deployment/

US Army officials confirmed that at least 5,000 troops would stay in Washington until mid-March.

A growing number of Republicans in both chambers of Congress are demanding to know why the city is still heavily fortressed when normal government business has resumed.
Question. Why Concertina wire around the capitol when southern boarder is wide open?

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) said in a Fox News op-ed published last month that the National Guard troops had completed their mission and should be allowed to return home.

It serves as a constant reminder to the nation that elected Biden that due to their great fight against all that was "Trumpist", they are terribly in fear of their lives from the violent "Trumpers" who may attack them at any time. Mind games.

Politician's are total "corncobs".....

Lets set the record straight..............

You can use corncobs to smoke pork and it is DELICIOUS. (https://www.cookscountry.com/recipes/7033-south-dakota-corncob-smoked-ribs)

You can use corn cobs to clean and polish spent shell casing when hand-loading ammunition. (https://www.frankfordarsenal.com/case-cleaning/case-cleaning-media/corn-cob-media-untreated/287178.html)

You can even make a delicious corn cob jelly that tastes as good on home made biscuits as fresh honey... (https://dailydishrecipes.com/easy-canning-recipe-corn-cob-jelly/)

You can use corn cobs to make vegetable stock, fire starters in your BBQ grill, pot scrubbers that wont damage or scratch those new-fangled pots and pans with the no-stick coating that still sticks, pet bedding, bio fuel, corn cob pipes, soil conditioners, xylose, and according to Wkipedia - you can even use corn cobs for anal hygiene (citation needed)...
...look it up, dont take my word for it.

Politicians, since the very earliest parts of recorded human history should only be compared to the noble corn cob if you are out of toilet paper and have no other option when it is time to perform that anal hygiene (citation needed) referenced on Wikipedia.

There are over 5,200 National Guardsmen in DC right now on Title 32 or State Active Duty orders. The governors of the states from which most of these Guardsmen came could very easily order them back to their home state right now, but they aren't. Don't blame DC, blame the spineless state governors that are allowing their Guardsmen to be used as political messaging.

Back in the old Army, when troops polished their boots - yes, they did, it was the 1st Sergeants and CSMs who were responsible for the welfare of the troops.

I have noticed since the invasion of Afghanistan there has been a steady erosion of those concerns.

The chain of command and concern appears to be broken.

It does make you wonder what conversations the senior NCO corps inside of DC have been having.

The Army's new initiative "This is My Squad," seems to make huge efforts to allow males to wear nail polish, rules that no longer refer to "mohawk" hair cuts and fu man chu mustaches in favor of just calling them "extreme" hairstyles it's just failing at things like actually TAKING CARE OF SOLDIERS
Its why Fort Hood is so thoroughly fucked
Its why troops deployed to the Peoples Democratic Republican District of Columbia have no exit strategy
Its why those same troops spent so much time living in a parking garage
Its why those same troops are being fed trash that would never make its way into a prison cafeteria without causing a lawsuit
But hey, "this is my squad"

-Do you sit down with your squads?
-Do you spend time with them?
Do you care that they are sleeping in a parking garage and eating raw chicken as a component of political optics?

-When you think of 'my squad,' you think of something positive you do every day to take care of each other...
-We want to build a committed organization that's founded in a cohesive team built-in trust...
-That's the goal: to understand the people around you, you're going to find something about the person sitting next to you that you never knew...
Hey big sarge, I'll bet you never knew I hate eating raw chicken while being exploited for political gain!!

-The job of a squad leader is a constant cycle of training and mentorship
Here, let me show you how to complain to your hometown news station about your shoddy leadership private

-Repetition and discipline over time builds cohesive teams that can be adaptive
Getting fucked by your leaders often enough and you'll get used to being exploited for political gain

I think the Republican Senators and members of the House should all go out one day with tools and take the fence down on their own.

I wouldn't be surprised if the National Guard just stood around and watched them.

I'm going to toss out a small dose of my limited edition small batch barrel strength cynicism here at no charge...

Those very same Republican Senators and members of the House didn't seem to have a problem finding a TV camera during the last 4 years of virtue signaling against president Trump's raucous behavior. Suddenly when there is some real good they could be doing to serve the citizen-soldiers they are supposed to represent, those very same Republican Senators and members of the House are suspiciously silent right now - they can't seem to find a single camera to record them publicly decrying the shitty treatment of the troops that are stuck in DC. One might think they would be jumping in front of every single camera they could find to call on the commander in chief to intervene on behalf of his troops.
but they aren't
and they won't

Those very same Republican Senators and members of the House can't seem to find the energy to do much more than the obligatory name-calling but nothing of substance. Certainly nowhere near the energy that was used to complain about insensitive social media posts that hurt feelings - very little energy being spent reminding people that those troops have a chain of command that should be held accountable in the court of public opinion.
...the top of that chain is right there in DC
...the names are easy to remember since they all work just a few miles from where these troops are being neglected
...names that we should be hearing on TV detailing the steps they are already taking towards a solution; names like Grinston, McConville, Whitley, Austin

Oh... and the one guy that could literally end all of their problems with the stroke of his pen: Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.

Lets not pretend that there is a list of Republican Senators and members of the House waiting to demand a fix for this problem - most of them have fallen silent now that President Trump has left office - let's just agree that there is a very short -very specific list of people that could EASILY address this issue and that the CinC is where the buck stops
...or who knows, it could all be fake news by a Trump supporter just trying to smear the good name of their distinguished leaders

I have an idea, such as it is. Maybe we need some pithy saying; short and to the point. "Who is John Galt??" took on meaning.

Something millions could email their politicians.

"Eat Your Peas!!" might do. No intent to hijack your motto, just want to maybe put it to good use.

This new kinder gentler anti-masculine Army is so different from the one I served in that I have no idea how to respond. I do recall certain things from my time that would have never allowed this to happen.

The old Army had cooks. (Some claimed to Special Forces or SEALs at some point in their career and that may have been true for the Navy, not for the Army.)
The old Army had mobile kitchens that followed the troops around and provided properly cooked meals at least to an internal temperature of 200•F or dead for sure.
The old Army used thermally controlled cans called “Mermites” that always had a broken latch on the easy open lid to reveal the three aluminum canisters that provided shards of aluminum scrapings with every served meal. And when I say served it’s like a McDonalds sign “Millions Served.” (Whatever didn’t spill all over the back of the Duce and Half and the First Sergeants and/or NBC NCO’s poncho-liner: which would be discovered at about 23:30hrs after driving the empty “Mermites” back to the Battalion rear area support staging area, in sub freezing temperatures.)
The old Army gave you a foldable saucer like aluminum bowl and plate with a stainless steel fork, over sized spoon (could double as an E-Tool if needed) and dull serrated knife that all stuck together like peas and carrots.
The old Army gave each soldier a stainless steel wire handled cup that fit nicely inside the canteen carrier and supported both the even older metal canteen and new and improved O.D. Green plastic issued canteen with M117-A2 nipple valve (which always froze first in the winter and provided much entertainment when lying in wait for an ambush while water slowly drained across your back) to accommodate the drinking tube if the M17-A1 Gas Mask (that always broke the first time you used it.)

With that wire handled, stainless steel, canteen cup, from well before WWII all the way through Desert Storm 1 and beyond many a real man could fill that up with some form of black coffee, smile and say...good fucking morning First Sergeant...how’d you sleep last night?

But the threat is still there!

We can't have all those troops protecting us leave just yet. We have to make sure Americans have bought into our election fraud before that happens.

Per Capitol NBC contributor Haley Talbot (https://twitter.com/haleytalbotnbc/status/1366486464628981768):

Fence update: The Architect of the Capitol’s office says the razor wire is NOT coming down. They are replacing the current fencing with different anti-climb fencing, and then the razor wire will go back up on the new fences once those are in place, per @EleanorNorton office. Apparently (https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/national/capitol-riots/capitol-fencing-comes-down-other-barriers-still-up/65-b346d31a-40fe-4775-9acf-af9b46d1ba6f) they're going to move it slightly so they can open up a street to vehicle traffic.

Perhaps the deployment cycle to Mordor on the Potomac will fade.

The facts is, with all these threats of violence, the government is going to have no choice but to start legislating behind closed doors.
Away from the public eye so they can get back to the business of legislating so nobody can interfere.
No longer will we have to worry about 'passing legislation so we can see whats in it'
The government will finally just get to pass legislation.
It will no longer matter whats in it - the government will just tell you what to do.

Its whats best for the proles.
Now, go eat your peas.
