View Full Version : Who is pulling big tech’s chain?

Who in “our” government is calling the shots for big tech? Pelosi?

My wife, a conservative and ain’t shy about it, got kicked off twit. Parler is getting its platform yanked from under them and google and apple stopped their apps.

They are trying their level best to isolate conservatives. I smell the stench of desperation.

I just read that Amazon is going to shut down the servers Parler uses to communicate through on Sunday night at midnight. They say they have a back up plan but might take a week to re-establish the site.

The most massive and corrupt government and private industry in the world is about to silence the people...somehow I don’t see this ending the way they think it will. :lifter

I use Viber at work, it’s encrypted and I doubt raises to suspicious levels.

My wife has her Asian network Vine to use.

The first thing to happen is going to be someone taking out big tech mobile communication anyways so it’s not going to matter who you used, the platforms and cloud based servers will all die.

My wife reports that apple is going to disable the emergency broadcast system on their phones. Sounds dubious, but all the rest that’s going on would have sounded dubious a few months ago as well.
I got a notice to update my phone tonight, coincidence? I don’t know, but suspicious to me.

Big tech is pulling big tech’s chain.
It’s a shot across the bow to the incoming administration.

The message is clear:
“See what we did? Do you want to be next?”

"Whoever burns books will eventually burn people." - Heinrich Heine

Only those who fear the truth condemn freedom of speech. Those attempting to deny the basic human right of free speech to citizens of this country are dangerous. Never, in all of history, has limiting a citizen's right to speak or to hear the opinions of dissenting voices resulted in anything less than tyranny and injustice. Best beware what side of good and evil they're standing on.

This is just the beginning, I'm afraid.

The least tolerant people in this country are the ones that have been marching, rioting and screaming that everyone needs to be more tolerant......as long as you believe what they believe.

It’s okay for a business to decide it’s not going to publish a conservative book or stop debate and discussion of conservative ideas.....but a bakery cannot refuse to produce a product that violates their Christian values.

Let’s hope that more AMERICANS wake up in the next two years to what they have really bought into.

This isn't the beginning of anything - this movement started decades ago. The assault has been building for generations with little to no resistance at all. The idea that we are all too sophisticated to fall for it has always been nothing more than an out loud way for people to hide their heads in the sand because the bread and circuses were free and entertaining. What you are watching play out is not the beginning of anything - it is a political end game.

Ted Kennedy left Mary Jo Kopechne to die - he admitted it and went on to become 'The Lion of the Senate'
John Brennan was a communist sympathizer and he climbed to the very top of the US Intelligence Community.
James Comey ADMITTED that he leaked information hoping it would be used to trigger an investigation
Joe Biden was on video bragging about how he bullied a Ukrainian into firing a prosecutor through the promise of financial aid
...and nobody seemed to notice - nobody seemed to care

Republicans are looking at a chessboard and all they have left is their king, supported by a few pawns and that stupid horse. While the democrats have a queen and both castles of government.
...all the while, nobody seems to object that the leftist media keeps putting pawns back on the board to help the democrats

No sir - this is the very OPPOSITE of the beginning and people need to come to grips with it.

Just my two cents - I could be wrong

This will be the "REASON " to disarm the private citizen to protect "minorities" from being murdered by (pick a group). REMEMBER, it only took 18 people to overthrow the CZAR of Russia.

I think the simplest explanation for Big Tech’s banning of President Trump and other conservatives is the following:

Big Tech are trying to proactively ingratiate themselves with the incoming Democrat political monopoly of the House, Senate, and Executive Branch.

Why?

They are under considerable risk of having their Metcalfe’s Law/Zipf’s Law based monopolies broken up.

I do not see a grand conspiracy within Big Tech, but I certainly see a strong alignment of interests for Big Tech to maintain their monopolies as well as align to the next regime.

China is also tightening its influence and control over it’s own Big Tech.

Jack Ma Yun, the founder and former chairmen of Alibaba(China’s Amazon) and more recently Ant Group.

The Chinese government pulled the Ant Group IPO at the last minute after Jack Ma criticised the Chinese government regulators.

He hasn’t been seen in over a month.

Perhaps the US is moving towards a model similar to Russia’s oligarchs and China’s digital emperors, but with American characteristics.

In Russia/China billionaires get onboard or they can get poisoned or disappeared.

In the US, billionaires can get cancelled and ruthlessly attacked by partisan regulators.

4th Estate for the digital age.

Maybe in part the pulling of the chain is fear, or maybe creating a narrative or maybe both. Below is a link to the latest bilge from the headline of Drudge, in reading it I came away with the 'feeling' that an ANTIFA/BLM type of riot is/was about to take place. Common sense should tell someone that we have no idea how the people allegedly advocating violence on forums are affiliated with the MAGA Movement or other actors with nefarious intent.

At least in part articles such as this may give us a view into the mindset that has prompted the imposition of censorship/de-platforming....that said, we should keep in mind that the Dem's have pre-planned every event over the past 4-1/2 years....

My phone is old enough that it can’t accept the latest update, but my iPad just notified of an impending automatic OS update.

Probably just tinfoil, but I turned off the auto update anyway.

Too bad nobody including bone spurs...

Funny thing 'bout them bone spurs--how do you know that was the reason for the deferment? If you haven't already, go ahead and look up the various draft records showing Trump's deferments; you'll note that the codes and notes in the records don't specify a reason. So the only source anyone has saying his deferments were for bone spurs is...Trump himself, during some past interviews.

Ergo, if you buy into the bone spur story, you apparently believe that President Trump is truthful. Aren't you relieved to finally admit it?

Me thinks, there are many people within the beltway, Silicon Valley and now Amazon who are absolutely terrified of what’s yet to come. It seems Wall Street may be assuming too much but we’ll see, either way I think the market stays strong.

I don’t know how the military has changed since I retired, but when I served as an NCO in the Infantry from the early 80’s until departing SF in ‘02, if the troops are bitching and complaining things are going along pretty well...it’s when everyone goes silent and discuss amongst themselves what’s at issue, and the good leaders find out what happened so they can fix it.

Bad leaders, ignored it and thought things are going well because everyone stopped complaining and bitching. Bad leaders also took it upon themselves to make radical changes thinking punishment and harassment would improve morale. “The beating will continue until morale improves!”

It looks like President Trump has gone silent, not because twatter, bookface and doogle have publicly banned him and locked his accounts but because something is up and it has everyone scared shitless for the last week or so of his administration.

I’m thinking about Independence Day (the movie) when they get to Area 51 and the President asked why didn’t I know about this place and what’s really going on here, and the Chief of Staff or General CJCS (idk) says, “plausible deniability sir.” Right now it looks like an awful lot of “plausible deniability” is going on with resignations left and right and people calling out elected officials for dereliction of duty to support the President. If I was making an “enemies list” I’d want to know who’s on it before the hammer drops.

If Trump knows what happened to JFK, RFK, EM”Ted”K and MLK, I doubt that NP, JD, TC, MZ, SP and JB feel comfortable knowing that they have violated RICO acts and Interstate violations of commerce for so long many people just accepted the status quo. We know that Nancy has pushed deals to her husband and the governors of California for years about the high speed train to nowhere and billions have been wasted so she is probably complicit in some shady beltway deals that power and prestige have bestowed on her...enough to remain in power as a senile old drunken lady. She’s the J. Edgar Hoover of the House and has dirt on everyone.

Trump has always been five steps ahead of these shady characters since day one, how did he get so blinded by the lefts attempts to derail his re-election? Who believes Sleepy Joe and the Ho garnered the most votes in the history of US Elections? Over the person who garnered the ‘second’ most votes in US history for re-election (more than BHO was able to do in his re-election attempt?) Something is afoot and time is running out fast...maybe the reason Nancy P is demanding a 24 hour time constraint on the VP to give a thumbs up or thumbs down on 25 A, or for an impeachment process that just will not happen before Inauguration Day. I’m sure Trump will wear that Mr. “T” starter set chain around his neck proudly into his retirement or second term, whichever comes first.

If you have any questions about those two letter abbreviations above just connect Big Tech...NP is Nancy P. and JB is J. Bezos. There is a Cook, a Mark, a Jack and a Pichai. They are either freaking out right now and scared shitless or they feel powerful enough to commit a coup d’etat of a President who is wildly influential and popular amongst half the country. If I were Stacy Abrams right about now I’d be boarding an airplane to Nigeria and buying a wicker basket to wear on my head...If I were the governors and elections officials of five battleground states I’d be buying a one way plane ticket to a country that doesn’t have extradition agreements with the USA. Maybe it’s about time for the house of cards to finally come down...who was on the grassy knoll in Dallas? The FBI, the CIA or just some contract marksman and loyalist to the VP (LBJ) and his friends that profited well from the expansion of the Indo-China War and a policy of appeasement?

Wouldn’t it be great to know what really happened to TWA Flight 800, or Pan Am Flight 103? Or where Jimmy Hoffa’s body is and how Jeffery Epstein managed to break his neck in a five foot fall with a bed sheet or how Vince Foster managed to shoot himself in the head twice...where is Hunter Biden’s laptop?

JMO - YMMV

It is really sad to see SF people affected by QTardism and various other nonsense. You guys used to be the smart ones.

Trump has fought like this to stay in power because he's had people telling him for a long time that as soon as he loses the shield of Presidential immunity from prosecution, he's turbofucked.

That's it. That's all this is about. A criminal who is about to suffer consequences for the first time in his life, who is willing to do anything to avoid them.

It's not a lust for dictatorship, as some detractors have said, it's the absolute horror on his part at the idea of being held responsible for his own actions. This stimulant-addicted, pants-shitting retard had quite a run, but even he now wishes he hadn't won the presidency. He could have played golf, grifted off the rubes, and enjoyed the rest of his life.

Instead, everyone is going to see soon that Trump faced serious legal jeopardy long before Operation MAGA Insurrection; the attack on the Capitol of this country, with the intention to murder lawmakers, was only an effort to stay in office in order to avoid that legal jeopardy.

His "jokes" about staying on for four more years, eight more years, twelve more years, weren't jokes. He doesn't joke. He doesn't have a sense of humor like normal human beings, he intended to stay in power until death.

There is literally nothing he wouldn't have done to avoid the consequences of his own actions. He is the absolute opposite of every single value held dear by SF, or by any US military unit.

No one reading this will live long enough to see the foul stink of Trump washed off the Republican Party, no one reading this will see Trump rise as the head of any other party, and in ten or twelve years it will take a platoon of infantry stationed full time on his grave to keep people from pissing on it.

You guys should feel ashamed, and I think before each of you reaches the end of your time, you will.

The Trump presidency from 2016-2020 is an historical fact.
He appointed 3 Supreme Court justices.
He appointed many other federal judges.
He guided a prospering economy which will serve as a benchmark.
He rallied a great many Americans to a common cause.
Etc.

He may not get a second term, but in the big picture, he won.

Gotta laugh at this one. An "insurrection" by unarmed MAGA/Trump supporters?? Video out there now of gates being opened to allow people in to the building.

Throwing the word "Insurrection" out at people who plan such things must leave most of the guys here rolling their eyes.

And as for "murdering lawmakers", if only. In case you haven't heard, the trust level of Congress is now below that of used car salesman.

Meanwhile you dems have put us through four years of a phony Russia investigation that fortunately has exposed the corruption in the FBI/CIA/DOJ and lotsa other alphabet agencies.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

It's very poor manners to insult your host in the first sentence....

The Establishment has indeed fought to stay in power for the past 4-5 years and will do anything to avoid the consequences.

Joe Biden is likely a stimulant-addicted, pants-shitting retard. He had quite a run over the past 40 some years, but even he now wishes he hadn't won the presidency. He could have sniffed and fondled little children, continued grifting off the rubes, and enjoyed the rest of his life.

Operation MAGA Insurrection? You must have been in a coma this past summer when BLM/ANTIFA were burning and cordoning off sections of cities, and harming people.

O-bama joked that he would only agree to a third term if he gets to sit in his basement and let someone else speak for him during events.....is O-bama also planning to stay in office until his death?

I used to say if I can make an arrangement where I had a stand-in or front-man or front-woman and they had an earpiece in and I was just in my basement in my sweats looking through the stuff and I could sort of delivering the lines while someone was doing all the talking and ceremony, I’d be fine with that because I found the work fascinating,

There is literally nothing any politician wouldn't have done to avoid the consequences of their own actions. Bob Menendez *COUGH*COUGH*, Anthony Weiner *COUGHC*COUGH*, Bill Clinton *COUGH*COUGH*, Hillary Clinton *COUGH*COUGH*, Eric Swallwell *COUGH*COUGH*....I think you get the idea.

Thank you Pete, further into the article it had names of persons who thought the election had been stolen and compared it to their own elections using the same equipment. It was the names and places that I was not familiar with that I thought some in your community would know and be able to shed light on for me. I do understand that the author was regurgitating most of the party line. It is hard for me to find anything that I can read without looking between the lines and toward a larger picture. For me the story reflected a larger picture of election problems spanning a much wider area and the common names given to those who protest.

Again thank you sir,

Well well well Tit for tat :D North Idaho internet provider bans FB and twatter

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/other/north-idaho-internet-provider-blocks-facebook-twitter-due-to-cenorship-concerns/ar-BB1cFgr9

The decision comes after Twitter and Facebook banned President Donald Trump from social media platforms in the wake of the U.S. Capitol riots.

Per KGW8, the decision could violate the net neutrality law in Washington state. The company said it planned to block Twitter and Facebook because the company received complaints from customers.

“It has come to our attention that Twitter and Facebook are engaged in censorship of our customers and information,” the company said in an email to customers.
“Our company does not believe a website or social networking site has the authority to censor what you see and post and hide information from you, stop you from seeing what your friends and family are posting,” the email reads. “This is why with the amount of concerns, we have made this decision to block these two websites from being accessed from our network.”

As I may have mentioned in the (seemingly other) Civil War thread, their usage went up 750% in the 48 hours following the events in that office building that houses Congress (and apparently used to house some now stolen SIPR laptops that were left lying around). At any rate, part of that increase was from refugees, and part was a bunch of the OPFOR coming over to try to comb the site for any dirt they could use. They'll get it squared away.

But the war is on.

Interesting target demographic, leading to a narrative we hear everyday, that its white supremacy. This narrative is the mantra (lets call it was it is) of the democratic socialist and MSM has used to program and justify their attack on civil liberties.

Edit to add: All attack or justification for attacks on civil liberties by the SDP (SDS), are grounded in academic scholarship.

And then, Trump happened and the people coalesced around him and his policies both foreign and domestic and the world according to them was right again.

Only the Left was left out because they lost the perceived power they once had. They honestly believed Hillary Clinton should have been president and their rewards for obedience to the oligarchy that promised them riches and power over the people disintegrated. At least that’s what they were told and taught in school.

I’m still waiting on his list of “actual crimes” the President has committed as President but I doubt he’s going to find any. Maybe he double parked the “Beast” at Daytona or forgot to sign a document giving away his salary...

God forbid they try to charge him with committing murder of all the people who have died with Covid, or we are going to have hold every past and future president with “high crimes and misdemeanors” for wars declared or not on other sovereign countries and the ensuing death tolls that come from those.

I'm not sure why all of the scenarios assume secession. The county by county map indicates, and the Nov 3rd election probably proved, that we are not that divided. We should be protesting for honest elections. The Left had to work very hard to steal this election and that's how they got caught. In an election where it's 51% to 49%, the amount of cheating is easily hidden or explained away. But, when it's 70% to 30%, it's hard to explain a 141% total voter turnout. That's pretty much what happened.

You are a case in point for those intellectually incapable of defending their delicate minds from leftist disinformation and propaganda. I see you live in LA I hope you are enjoying Democrat policy in action. I almost agree with the idea of not allowing people who fall for the lies of the left losing their right to vote.

Have you wondered why Russia stood down while Trump was in power and aggressive when Obama was in office and then invaded under Bidens watch? An obvious clue...has to do with strength and weakness, projection of power...Afghanistan withdrawal....N Korea, Iran and China are also getting aggressive....I will wait for your response.

It is amazing that living in an insulated state where leftist have established a stronghold and wonderful MO's such as censorship of opposing views you have enough info to communicate at all. David Lazarus at KTLA says the quiet part out loud. (https://ktla.com/news/money-smart/the-metaverse-is-increasingly-looking-like-a-scam/)

Facebook’s parent, Meta, revealed this week that a core business goal in developing a virtual-reality “metaverse” is to make money from digital transactions.

Now the company is acknowledging that it plans to take a cut of almost half of all money changing hands.

A Meta spokesperson tells CNBC that the company will take an overall cut of up to 47.5% on each metaverse transaction.

That includes a “hardware platform fee” of 30% for sales made through the Meta Quest Store, where Meta sells apps and games for its virtual-reality headsets.

There’s also a 17.5% fee just for, well, playing in Meta’s digital playground.

The social-media behemoth is a leading force behind creation of a VR-powered online environment that promises to be like walking around in a video game or cartoon. Think of it as the web on steroids.

Meta intends to cash in on users seeking to customize their online personas, or avatars, with digital clothing and accessories.

Which is to say, it wants people to spend real money for make-believe goods that have no value in the real world.

This sort of thing is now common in video games, but on a relatively small scale. Meta and other metaverse proponents are hoping to make such digital sales a core part of people’s online lives.

Citi bank, for one, estimates that the metaverse economy could be worth as much as $13 trillion by 2030.

But Meta taking almost half of each online transaction? That doesn’t sit well with some folk. Twitter comments have been almost uniformly negative.

Development of the metaverse is now guided primarily by wishful thinking. It apparently depends on widespread adoption of virtual-reality headsets, which has yet to happen, and on millions of users being cool with spending real money on things that don’t exist in the real world.

:munchin

I would gladly live life as a Morlock in a world where my prey is dead set on pretending that I don't exist.
Sweet sweet Eloi - slow roasted over a smokey fire pit with just a hint of tangy mustard based BBQ sauce...

...one can dream

The more disturbing and unfortunate truth is that the globalists and politicians living high on the taxpayer hog, have been filling the role of the Morlocks for at least a generation or two already...
...and those folks that believe everything they see or hear from the media - including those that think outlets like Fox, OAN, and Newsmax somehow represent mainstream conservatives - are little more than modern day Eloi.

Opinions may vary and since the current "thing" will only last until the weak minded are distracted by the next "thing" I suggest that everyone act now, order today, send money to save the victims of the current thing, batteries not included, mileage may vary, all sales are final, and if you act now you'll get a free "impeach Trump, get vaccinated, get boosted, GoJoe, free Ukraine, buildbackbetter, banghostguns, banbumpstocks, commonsenseguncontrol, eat the rich, save the whales, think green" lapel pin - its our way of saying "Thank you" for being a loyal supporter of the current thing.

Now get out there and vote early - vote often - vote hard - so we can defeat the evil conservatives so that the rest of you can plug into 'Zucks new virtual existence machine so you will never have to think for yourself again.

The people that sit on these oversight committees have stock in these companies. The people that write the legislation that regulates this industry have stock in this industry. The people that would go to jail are the ones that will be investigating the scandal.

...of course the US government is in bed with "big tech"

The folks at "American Thinker" that are acting like they have broken some sort of 'Wordridge and Barnsting' putlizer-prize-winning-earth-shaking scandal may as well be 10 year old Montessori school kids taking part in a 'great lesson' about aMErican government.

For shit sakes, if the involvement of social media over the last two elections isn't enough to show that the left is in bed with the tech industry in the ongoing marxist takeover of the USA, then it should be a lot easier to understand how a six foot mouse can run a 200 billion dollar propaganda network specializing in grooming children for the global pedophile network.
...or maybe its all just a big coincidence

On a completely unrelated topic, I am selling real estate plots on Ganymeade. In a few million years when the sun starts turning into a red giant, those plots are going to be worth WAY more than you paid for it.
I'm taking orders now - send me your money.

And yet even with deliberate Dem policies wreaking havoc on the society around you it seems you are blind to its effects and perhaps even voted for those responsible and will again.

The people here speak on a different plane of existence from experiences that you cannot and would not understand unless you walked in the shoes we have worn and seen and knew the things we know and understand that folks like yourself cannot comprehend.

I am curious since it is popular revisionism and to put it bluntly ignorant to believe but the leftist take on the great Democrat-Republican switch of the 60's in which allegedly LBJ's 1964 civil rights bill caused all the racists to switch to the Republican party despite the Dixiecrats (Of which Joe Biden supported) all but one standing by their guns for state rights and segregation. Just curious to what you have accepted as true.

I bet you believe every great war was a Republican concoction as well and that it is really the Republican warmongers an dnot the peaceful Democrats.

I look forward to bursting your bubble of mental illness of the liberalism you seem to accept as truth.

I am a child of the 70s. A lot of the folks I was around as a kid were Vietnam veterans, and a couple of them were Vietnam-era SF people (not SOG)

My experience from then and from my own military experience is that SF people are intelligent, almost without exception. Like, really, really smart. There is something in the pipeline that eliminates morons. This is something that has been made clear over and over on these boards by numerous posters, but you.... it's clear from every single sentence you wrote that you make a brick covered in shit look like a fucking Rhodes Scholar.

I am also child of the 70s. A lot of the folks I was around as a kid were kids of Vietnam veterans. A couple of them were even grandkids of WW2 veterans. None of the adults were of any particular motivational level to me - most of the WW2 vets in my neighborhood were drunkards and bigots - and most of the Vietnam vets seemed like drug addicts. Even a kid of the 70's was able to notice that behavior.
...but that's what you get in a city run by democrats

My experience from then and from my own military experience is that SF people are mirror images of their civilian counterparts. Not always intelligent, not always the paragon of goodness that their SF groupies paint them to be - and certainly not free of sin.
-almost without exception. In fact, most of them have been really, really huge smart-asses.

I wish there was something in the pipeline that eliminates morons but there isn't. Anyone that says otherwise is a liar. The fact that I made it through the pipeline on my first try without actually feeling as though I had been all that emotionally OR physically challenged is a testament to how easy the pipeline really is.

It seems like the only people that have a problem properly describing the pipeline are the ones that probably weren't all that worthy in the first place.
...or they weren't smart enough to fool their peers as well as I have over my 25 years in Special Forces.

SF guys are mostly one big band of collectively self centered stupid fucks - otherwise, they'd have ALL seen through my charade DECADES ago and run me off before I ever made it to team week. After all, me AND the current CJCS made it through the pipeline - so it cant be completely perfect.
That complete lack of perfection is something that has been made clear over and over on these boards by numerous posters.
Or maybe it takes one to know one - who knows.

It also seems like the ones that have the bestest and most smartest insights into what makes a "good" SF guy are the ones that never seemed to graduate from the SFQC in the first place.

It's clear from every single sentence that some people write - is that the biggest difference between the shittiest dumbest laziest shit brick SF guy and the smartest wiserest coolerest toughterest bestest barrel chested freedom fighter from the conventional military is that one of them has a green beret...
...and has people on this forum that actually get a kick out of reading their opinionated shit brick postings.

Gettin' our turn at bat
