View Full Version : LA Sherrifs Officer Shooting?
Finally calmed down to the point that I could watch the video.
What sticks out to me,, The shooter is either a kid or height-denied runt.
The vehicle they were driving looks like one of the new LEO models of the Ford Fusions (purchase announced a while back)
They are 58inch (4ft, 10in) Tall, and the shooter looks to be at or less than the cruiser's height.
Also, after shooting the sherrif deputies, he/she runs off,, like a 10-12 YO kid.
The Democratic BLM has stupped to a new low, by using children.
PS: If you want to watch the video, go to YT & search for this string _S2ENjdp-MY YES the 1st character is an underscore
There are many copies, but most are from TV MSM and you have to deal with the incessent talking heads. This copy is only 34 sec.
JJ, I do not know - but an alternative possibility is that the lens of the security camera could be a “fisheye” (wide angle) lens causing distortion of height.

This situation is becoming more often than not, This is going to escalate to a shooting war between the radical progressive left and all others. The cause & effect of the problems are enhanced by the MSM, the democrat party candidates, and the inadequacy of response by elitist democrat governors, mayors, DA's and their supporting base. The Department of "Justice" IS NOT applying The Rule of Law to the Deep State Actors inside the DC Beltway... Barr & Durham are not going to prosecute any of the "Usual Suspects" they are dancing around the criminal activity that has become blatantly overt, The Muller Team of Traitors has been outed for wiping their I phones of evidence...Funny how Team Muller all entered the wrong password and caused the destruction of evidence...could this be obstruction of justice...Organized crime is the Deep State beltway gang.

The original tweet from the LASD stated that the cameras were fisheye lenses and not to use the video to try to determine height or weight.

I also heard that the lens was fish-eye, but I have doubts of how much distortion was caused.
A fish-eye lens typically will have tell-tail vertical and horizontal distortion of objects that show stright lines. like walls and fences.
Looking at the pics you can id 3-4 areas that should show distortion.
The last pic is a typical fish-eye render. After you leave the central area, the distortion excelorates.
Tom,
I fear that children and those with weak minds & mental problems will be encouraged to really stupid tricks.
Not unlike suicide bommers :mad::mad::mad:

Regardless of the lens and potential distortion, the idea of a shooting // killing as part of a youth gang initiation is not unheard of.
TEEN TELLS OF GANG INITIATION, GIRL'S KILLING
By Philip P. PanJune 28, 1996
Testifying in a voice so soft that jurors had to lean forward to hear him, a Prince George's County teenager said yesterday that he joined what he thought was a social club before realizing it was a criminal gang and then a month later helped bludgeon and stab to death a classmate.
Vouthynor "Billy" Sovann, 16, spoke for nearly three hours and said he joined the gang after a classmate described it to him as a clique. For his initiation, Sovann said, he endured a beating by other gang members and learned an elaborate set of gang rules and the penalties for violating them.
The Mitchellville teenager breathed more deeply and appeared dazed when he began telling the jury at his murder trial in Upper Marlboro how he plunged a knife five times into the back of 14-year-old Tatia Brennan, then held her down and ignored her pleas for mercy while another gang member stabbed her repeatedly.
Box,
You've used the fisheye in various applications.... Seems it would cause distortion in a uniform manner relative to other fisheye lens cameras. From what my untrained and novice eye can see...the tendency would be for the center of the focal field to appear larger and the edges to appear "smaller" to give the distortion. Unless this is some sort of zoom-crop I find it difficult to believe that this was a 6' 2", 245 lb person.
Someone knows the shooter...the coin is growing sufficient to entice a disgruntled girlfriend or a fellow gang member who gets rolled up on something sufficient enough to rat.
Almost approaching a monetary level that maybe couple of experienced bounty hunter types could get some good local info.

They keep going they're gonna get some small countries' DA contingents bidding on the job.
...or one of the cartels. :D (how sweet would that be?)

Too bad it cannot be offered "dead or alive"
Could save a lot of money in the long run

I was thinking the same thing if that was a "kill or capture" reward. I figured that guy was not going to see the inside of a courtroom. He is probably going to go out guns a blazing.
36 year old arrested.

Man is arrested and charged with attempted murder in the ambush shooting of two Compton police officers
Deonte Lee Murray, 36, was charged with two counts each of attempted murder of a peace officer and possession of a firearm by a felon
Murray allegedly shot two deputies in the Compton attack on September 12
The cops were shot multiple times as they sat inside their patrol car outside the Metro Blue Line station at Willowbrook Avenue and Oak Street
LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva and DA Jackie Lacey said Wednesday the suspected gunman was in police custody and they believe he acted alone
Authorities said Murray 'hates police officers and wants them dead'
Murray was first arrested back on September 15 in Lynwood after a huge eight-hour armed standoff involving an LA SWAT team
Cops said he was arrested over an armed carjacking on September 1 where a male victim, 51, was shot in the leg and his car stolen
Villanueva at the time denied his arrest was also connected to the cop ambush
Police confirmed Wednesday the two incidents were related
The sheriff's department said a gun discarded by Murray during the September 15 incident was the same one used to shoot the two cops
The black Mercedes Benz the gunman used to flee from the shooting of the two deputies is also allegedly the same vehicle stolen in the September 1 carjacking
Murray pleaded not guilty in his arraignment Wednesday and will appear back in court on November 17
