I do not know Pastor Hill, but he has an argument to the question of who was Jesus and what race(color) was he?

I have had this notion that Jesus was NOT white, but I'm not a geneticist nor do I have a background in human evolution, so for me, it's an open bucket list item of low priority.

Net Net I don't care..

Pastor Hill seems to come close to an answer.

Opinion?

Kind of a content of his character not the color of his skin opinion. I was raised Methodist and until I had a liberal Methodist preacher I remained that way. I guess as of now I am unattached religiously. As far as I am concerned your Jesus can be any color that you wish. We live in a world that seems to get to hung up on color.

If Jesus or Santa Claus (not comparing the two) appeared before you I would expect them to appear the way you thought they would look.

But as to what he looked like - I would expect him to look like pretty much like the Arab peoples in Israel.

I know it’s a bit old fashioned but life would be a lot simpler if the left quit dividing us and thought of us all in this country as Americans.

Less Prozac, less Xanax, less therapy needed by many young folks if they accepted the content of character analysis and quit focusing on skin color and plumbing. The division and endless sub-division is just not healthy...nor productive.

What’s wrong with just being concerned about the human race ?

Of course, that would work against the constantly aggrieved.

Given the geography involved - I always thought Jesus had dark skin - but never gave it much thought.

EV Hill was a good preacher. He preached his wife's funeral. I found her eulogy very moving.

Florida Evans dealt with this issue way back in 1974 (Season 1 Episode 2).

Not a new problem.

I truly respected some good ole Pastor Hill messages. He was true to his faith and towed the line. I miss his preaching at times like the current ones we are facing.

As to Jesus' color...I care less!

We were made in His image, not the other way around.

Extremely well-said!

The Color of Water, written by James McBride answers the question directly. It is a truly good read. Autobiographical in content, a families history in Red Hook Brooklyn.

Why does it matter?

An invasion of our current social struggles....

If it mattered....
