ANTIFA...in their own words...who are they, what do they want and why are they violent? Interesting insight below.
The excerpts below are but a taste taken directly from an ANTIFA text for your reading pleasure at link below.
ANTIFA The Anti-Fascist’s Handbook
WHO?
“Yet, the reduction of the term to a mere negation obscures an understanding of anti-fascism as a method of politics, a locus of individual and group self-identification, and a transnational movement that adapted preexisting socialist, anarchist, and communist currents to a sudden need to react to the fascist menace.”
Despite the various shades of interpretation, antifa should not be understood as a single-issue movement. Instead, it is simply one of a number of manifestations of revolutionary socialist politics (broadly construed). Most of the anti-fascists I interviewed also spend a great deal of their time on other forms of politics (e.g., labor organizing, squatting, environmental activism, antiwar mobilization, or migrant solidarity work).
“Some antifa groups are more Marxist while others are more anarchist or antiauthoritarian.“
“Given what anarchists, communists, and socialists knew at the time, there is no reason for them to have devoted any time or attention to the early days of fascism.”
“Anti-fascism is pan-revolutionary left politics applied to fighting the Far Right. Therefore, a number of socialist traditions coexist under this umbrella.”
“When I asked the Dutch anti-fascist Job Polak, he shrugged and smirked saying it was a “non- argument that we never felt we should engage with . . . you have the right to speak but you also have the right to be shut up!”
“Much of the antifa reluctance to engage with this issue stems from their rejection of the classically liberal terms of debate that limit political questions about personal and group expression to the confines of legalistic rights-based discourse. For liberals, the prime question is the status of the free speech rights of fascists. For revolutionary socialist antifa, the prime question is the political struggle against fascism; from their perspective, the rights promoted by capitalist parliamentary government are not inherently worthy of respect.”
“anti-fascists generally agree on the broad strokes of fascism such as patriarchy, white supremacy, authoritarianism, and so on.”
“From an anti-fascist perspective, the question is not about establishing a neutral line beyond which right-wing politics cannot cross, but about entirely transforming society by tearing down oppression in all its forms. For revolutionary socialist anti-fascists, the question to ask is, “Who will win the political struggle?”
“Finally, it’s worth adding that militant anti-fascism is but one facet of a larger revolutionary project. Many antifa groups organize not only against fascism, but aim to combat all forms of oppression such as homophobia, capitalism, patriarchy, and so on.”
“Anti-fascists don’t oppose fascism because it is illiberal in the abstract, but because it promotes white supremacy, hetero-patriarchy, ultra-nationalism, authoritarianism, and genocide.”
“Anti-fascists conduct research on the Far Right online, in person, and sometimes through infiltration; they dox them, push cultural milieux to disown them, pressure bosses to fire them, and demand that venues cancel their shows, conferences, and meetings; they organize educational events, reading groups, trainings, athletic tournaments, and fund-raisers; they write articles, leaflets, and newspapers, drop banners, and make videos; they support refugees and immigrants, defend reproductive rights, and stand up against police brutality. But it is also true that some of them punch Nazis in the face and don’t apologize for it.”
“Leftist organizers often find this task to be much easier than liberal pundits because they are immersed in the mechanisms of movement building. They under- stand that to develop, movements need to hold public events, go on marches, pass out propaganda, publish newspapers, launch campaigns, form alliances and coalitions, and establish public offices, social centers, and bookstores. They must establish attractive social and cultural milieux that give new recruits a sense of belonging and a desire to commit to the struggle. For those who have spent years building this infrastructure and weathering the inevitable ebbs and flows in enthusiasm, commitment, and momentum that movement-building entails, it is obvious that the consistent inability to accomplish some or all of these political tactics would be devastating.”
“The anti-fascist dictum “No platform for fascists” also applies to their posters, graffiti, and other propaganda. Anti- fascists place a great deal of emphasis on controlling public space in all senses, and therefore they devote a significant amount of energy to eliminating any public trace of fascism.”
“While taking rigorous security precautions, the anti-fascists made a number of fake profiles of themselves on the far-right group’s online forums...”
““We could only do what we do and get away with it,” Luís said, “because of that interplay” between mass protest and militant action, because it would have been easy for the German police to shut down more isolated black blocs. Still, Luís was also critical of the mass blockade because in the absence of an anticapitalist critique, they ran the risk of simply echoing the German state’s official anti-fascism.”
“Having your city, or at least parts of it, on your side means you have eyes on workplaces, colleges, or neighborhoods beyond your immediate circles. If someone is putting up homophobic stickers in one area, someone who lives there will send your group an e-mail. If someone’s classmate has started trying to recruit for a “white student union,” you will hear about it. When it comes time to call a neo-Nazi’s boss to ask that he be fired, more people will call if they support the work your group does. If one of your mem- bers is arrested or hospitalized, more people will donate.”
“The exceptional spectacle of anti-fascist organizers confronting Nazis is not enough to stem the tide of Trumpism.”
“An anti-fascist outlook has no tolerance for “intolerance.” It will not “agree to disagree.” To those who argue that this would make us no better than Nazis, we must point out that our critique is not against violence, incivility, discrimination, or disrupting speeches in the abstract, but against those who do so in the service of white supremacy, hetero-patriarchy, class oppression, and genocide. The point here is not tactics; it is politics.”
“Our goal should be that in twenty years those who voted for Trump are too uncomfortable to share that fact in public. We may not always be able to change someone’s beliefs, but we sure as hell can make it politically, socially, economically, and sometimes physically costly to articulate them.”
“Anti-fascists must not only concern themselves with those who organize on behalf of white supremacy and those who casually parrot racist slogans, but also those who never say anything at all. Fascist regimes thrive on widespread support, or at least consent, by cultivating pride in, and fear of the loss of, a variety of identities, privileges, and traditions. One of the most important in the context of the resurgent Far Right in the United States is whiteness.”
“...Aimé Césaire rightly concluded that “Europe is indefensible.” So too must we add that, as a modern identity forged through slavery and class rule, whiteness is indefensible.”
“The only long-term solution to the fascist menace is to undermine its pillars of strength in society grounded not only in white supremacy but also in ableism, heteronormativity, patriarchy, nationalism, transphobia, class rule, and many others. This long-term goal points to the tensions that exist in defining anti-fascism, because at a certain point destroying fascism is really about promoting a revolutionary socialist alternative (in my opinion one that is antiauthoritarian and nonhierarchical) to a world of crisis, poverty, famine, and war that breeds fascist reaction.”
“On its own, militant anti-fascism is necessary but not sufficient to build a new world in the shell of the old.”
WHY VIOLENCE?
“On the night of Yiannopoulos’s speech, shortly before it was scheduled to begin, black-clad anti-fascists arrived at the larger ongoing demonstration and started to pull down police barricades, launch fireworks, smash windows, and spray-paint graffiti, causing what was later estimated to be $100,000 worth of damage. And what weeks of advocacy, argumentation, and public dialogue could not accomplish was instead achieved in about fifteen minutes, as the police quickly announced the cancellation of the event, citing security concerns.”
“In truth, violence represents a small though vital sliver of anti-fascist activity.”

Lends credence to the old axiom that 'when someone shows you who they are - believe them'
...ANTIFA...they admittedly seek to forcibly suppress all opposition and criticism...using propaganda, slogans, violence, etc., etc., oh, the irony.
ETA: in a more traditional sense ANTIFA appear the useful idiots to a Putin or a Xi Jinping type...who WILL get their “minds right” after the dust settles.

This may be a bit rambling to some, to those that lived it will be very familiar.
X imeo (in my experience only) I tired of the phony late ‘60’s, 67-70. It was a period of great unrest with no direction, social ambiguity, with no goals, other than to end a war, and resolve race issues, which once you got through the weed, the conversation was left to the adults.
This is no different, 20 somethings, but unlike the late 60”s, this round of insurrection is grounded in that last failed attempt to overthrow democracy. Those organization that supported the 60’s chaos are headed for the grave, they want a legacy, the difference between then and now, is the brutal force exhibited. They want to exact a price and indoctrinate the next generation of disenfranchised with a blood oath, whereas the Huey Newtons, Chistoms where right in your face. Antifa, the ultimate UW.
That said, this has all the hallmarks of domestic foreign actors in the mix. As a lone voice in the woods, this may nor resonate, but the torching of St. Johns, is the very same context as Notre Dame in Paris. Same actors, tell me I’m on drugs, you are in denial.
This is the most subversive time in our collective history, as much as the rule of law must be followed, it must be ignored to preserve our cultural and our social norms. The question is who is willing and when to act.

I’m not that old but old enough to remember my youth growing up in L.A. (Cali) late 60’s and throughout the 70’s. We had plenty of “domestic terrorism” and bad actors then. Some of those I believe ran for office and are still there basking in the twilight glow of this current “scorched earth” policy to regain power and control; lost in the 2016 election of DJT (that just wasn’t supposed to happen!)
When people start robbing banks again with arms (no one can legally purchase or own) to fund their crusade against the man, I might begin to get concerned. Until then bring marshmallows, chocolate and grams and a six-pack or two and enjoy the fireworks.
The next four years will determine if the Republic has been saved or lost forever. Then I hope the shooting starts if it’s not saved.

How do we define these activities?
The Department of Defense defines it as "the unlawful use of violence or threat of violence to instill fear and coerce governments or societies. Terrorism is often motivated by religious, political, or other ideological beliefs and committed in the pursuit of goals that are usually political."
How is this not exactly what they are trying to do?

TR, just a lot easier to declare them ‘enemy of the state’ because the Constitution is pretty clear on that terminology and we all, most of us in second careers too, still take an oath to defend the nation against “all enemies both foreign and domestic.”
Arson is illegal
Violence (battery) against others is illegal
Unlawful assembly is illegal
Breaking and entering is illegal
Trespassing on private property is illegal
Theft is illegal...
The list of transgressions and unlawful activities go on and on.
These states and cities need to set up and begin using paid for by taxpayer funded stadiums and sports complexes and use them to process these lawbreakers. Bring them in by the bus load, photograph, fingerprint, gather PII and release those that cooperated, lock up those who resist or won’t ID themselves and provide contact information.
Those who associate and identify as Antifa, file charges of past transgressions and build a laundry list of actionable criminal behaviors. I heard today that RICO statutes may apply to Antifa’s leadership.
Penn and ODNT, there is no difference between the '60s radicals and now because the '60s radicals are in seats of power. Pelosi, Kerry, Hillary, Boxer, Feinstein, Jerry Brown, Jesse Jackson, Sharpton, et al, where there at the beginning and are now radicalis emeriti, or soon to be, of the Left. This is their last gasp. They've made tremendous headway in 50 years but failed at the one necessary achievement to overthrow the U.S., abolishing the Second Amendment. And here we are.

I lost sight of that belief but I used to tell myself that the radical youth of the 60s were being voted in to positions of power...Killery Hlinton and her ilk.
Thanks for the the reminder.

Many States and cities believe the solutions to these type of problems are creating (bureaucracy) commissions to fight institutionalized racism and hire more minority police officers.

I keep hearing this "line" that is trying to relate and align current events to 1968.
I'm really too young to have an opinion on '68...but this seems to be an attempt to legitimize the current lawlessness and IMHO diminishes and degrades what was going on 52 years ago.

That was one of several more things the Obama administration and DOJ did repeatedly to undermine the rule of law in this country.
I firmly believe that he and they did more to screw this country than any President and administration had done before him. Worse than the damage Lynden B. Johnson did with the Civil Rights Act which got this ball rolling on its path of destruction for black peoples.
What we are seeing is a direct and proportional result of how badly Obama/Holder/Lynch screwed this country up. I thought race relations were the best they had ever been before 2009 and after Cambridge “He acted stupidly” moment it all went down the rabbit hole.
The world sure seems upside down right now.
Ponder this - in a Blue State/city you might get arrested for getting a haircut or going to church...but loot a store or burn a church even on multiple nights and you’ll likely get away with it.
FWIW from some of my morning readings:
Yuri Bezmenov, “Deception was My Job”, G. Edward Griffin’s 1984 interview, “Soviet Subversion of the Free World Press”, *******; “[T]he main emphasis of the KGB is not in the area of intelligence at all . . . only about 15% of time, money, and manpower is spent on espionage as such. The other 85% is a slow process, which we call either ideological subversion . . . What it basically means is to change the perception of reality of every American, to such an extent, that despite the abundance of information, no one is able to come to sensible conclusions” [and then] “The demoralization process in the United States is . . . A person who was demoralized, is unable to assess true information. The facts tell nothing to him. Even if I shower him with information with the authentic proof, with documents, with pictures, even if I take him by force to the Soviet Union and show him concentration camp, he will refuse to believe it, until he is going to receive a kick in his fat bottom.”
8 Bella Dodd Testimony to House Committee on Un-American Activities, Philadelphia PA, November 16, 1953, 2898; “I was told by Gil Green, chairman of the party in New York State, that if ever communism came to America it would not come under the Socialist label or the Communist label but it would come under a label palatable to the American people.”
Bella Dodd, School of Darkness, The Devin-Adair Company, 1954,150: “Trachtenberg once told me that when communism came to America it would be under the label of ‘progressive democracy.’ ‘It will come,’ he added, ‘in labels acceptable to the American people’.”
10 Communist Party USA (CPUSA) leader Alexander Trachtenberg, “Bella Dodd Explains Communist Ducks” Lecture at Fordham University, 1953,” *******; “When we get ready to take the United States, we will not take it under the label of Communism; we will not take it under the label of Socialism. These labels are unpleasant to the American people, and have been smeared too much. We will take the United States under the labels we have made very lovable; we will take it under liberalism, under progressivism, under democracy. But, take it we will.” (Alexander Trachtenberg, Communist Parties National Convention, Madison Square Garden, 1944)”
"Rule of law" thats hilarious - stop it, you guys are killing me.
I'm curious - is "guffaw" spelled with 1 "F" or 2 ???
Also, should we capitalize the "P" in "pfft" and the "M" in "meh"
These are things I need to know before I post - 'lest my credibility as an observational commentator be brought into question.
Let me tell you guys a story about rule of law
Now, this is a true story.
It happened
To me
...yesterday
Maybe it was a few days ago - could have been longer - in fact, it could have even been a story I heard - who knows - my memory is a little cloudy from what I can only assume is a minor case of temporal disorientation brought on by months of a disrupted circadian rhythm, needless stay at home orders, and unnecessary social distancing measures.
Anyway, this is a true story - it happened when I worked at a local swimming pool -
- There was this guy named CornPop; CornPop was a “bad dude” who “ran a bunch of bad boys”; CornPop didn’t like rules but around MY swimming pool you followed the rule of law – or you had ta’ go !!!
Well - one day, CornPop refused to wear a bathing cap, openly flouting pool rules.
I spotted him on the high dive and I just had to lay down the law. I said, “Hey you – Esther Williams – come down from there and put on your bathing cap on or I’ll come up there and drag you down”
CornPop came down alright, because he knew the rule of law was a thing at my pool!!!
CornPop was also REALLY pissed off – probably because I called him “Esther” in front of his crew. He said he would be waiting for me outside at 12 O'Clock sharp – I was a little afraid – my girlfriend said I should run. The pool mechanic said I should stand up to CornPop but he didn’t want to face CornPop and his gang with me – none of my friends wanted to stand up to CornPop and his gang. I spent the rest of the morning trying to get some foks to help me sort out CornPop and his gang but everyone said the pool was a lot more fun when I wasn’t around and that I should just be smart and leave before things with CornPOp and his gang got rough. Well, my sense of duty and honor are strong. I've never run from anybody before and CornPop was no different – rule of law and all that jazz!!!!
I felt like Gary Cooper in “High Noon”
I went out to the parking lot to face CornPop and sure enough, he was waiting there with three guys all armed with straight razors and all I had was my orange rescue-buoy. I was starting to wish I had never watched that stupid Gary Cooper movie and just left work early like everyone said – but that ain’t me – the rule of law has to be upheld!!!
Instead of calling the police, I took CornPop and his cronies head on. I told CornPop, “First of all, when I tell you to get off the diving board, you get off that diving board, or I’ll kick you out again. But I shouldn’t have called you Esther Williams, I apologize – I’m sorry I called you a name and compromised your dignity in a public setting.”
CornPop backed down because he understood that the rule of law around MY swimming pool meant you had to chill out and act right – and he respected that I apologized for calling him ‘Esther Williams’. (Plus, he saw that my girlfriend had showed up with a cop.) I was pretty upset that the only person out of all my friends that came to help was my girlfriend – but I was also glad that I had stood up to the gang and came out on top.
By now, all the folks that had been hiding inside the bathrooms and locker rooms began to emerge and started to cluster around me. These people all sucked because they wanted to talk about the rule of law but didn’t want to do shit about it when CornPop refused to wear his bathing cap. I had enough of these turds so I threw my orange rescue-buoy in the dirt at the pool mechanics feet, glared at the crowd, and departed with girlfriend in our horse drawn carriage (actually it was a 1973 Ford Pinto with white letter tires and a glass-pack muffler.)
The rule of law matters – whether its people stealing 65-Inch flat screen TVs or CornPop refusing to wear his bathing cap. Upholding the law has nothing to do with fascism. Crying wolf by accusing everyone of fascism when you get rolled up for setting someones car on fire while your buddies are looting the Food King is some weak tea.
And that’s all I’ve got to say about that.
The world sure seems upside down right now.
Ponder this - in a Blue State/city you might get arrested for getting a haircut or going to church...but loot a store or burn a church even on multiple nights and you’ll likely get away with it.
Upside down, inside out..
I read a book awhile back that was posted on here, From Dictatorship to Democracy, which made the point that a civilization/country is headed toward the ultimate train wreck when people are arrested for normal life activities while at the same time true criminals are given a pass. On the low end of the spectrum we have prisoners being let out of jail for Corona Virus, and Rioters being allowed to roam freely in the streets. On the high end of the spectrum you have Federal, State and Local politicians and LE who get a pass on very high crimes.
On the opposite side of the coin the average law abiding citizen must walk on egg shells so as not to receive the wrath of TPTB, and this is a bad omen when TPTB cannot or will not protect Average Joe and Jane.
Add in to that a Media that is nothing more than a propaganda machine and we have a real mess.
It's all a coincidence this is coming to a head in an election year

Average folks are locked in their homes under curfew while savages rage...”giving them space” clearly is interpreted by looters as tantamount to giving them permission.
Moreover, the legitimate protesters have been infiltrated by (1) ANTIFA and (2) criminal thugs - law enforcement leadership must state this loudly, publicly and clearly to all media...
Bold, decisive action must be taken against (1) ANTIFA and (2) criminals...they are raping American cities and symbols.
The larger, long term threat IMHO is ANTIFA.
To borrow the opening quote set on its own page directly from the linked ANTIFA handbook:
“Fascism is not to be debated, it is to be destroyed!”
It is not a stretch to interpret that quote along with the hundreds of pages of supporting text in the ANTIFA handbook - essentially reinforcing the message in that short quote - “anyone who disagrees or speaks against us IS a fascist and must not be reasoned with or compromised with...but must be destroyed...”
In other words unless you are ANTIFA or submit to ANTIFA you will be destroyed...sound familiar?

Way back, if the LA Mayor had said "give them room" in '65 and they'd have gotten over the Santa Monica Hills into the valley it would've been a massive "Cleanup needed on Ventura Blvd!" M2AP was $6/100 and the place was crawling with WW-II and Korea vets and their families who wouldn't have taken that BS.

Nice to see corporate America cowering and accommodating the thugs or is it merely the empty words of a self loathing victim of brainwashing....
For those in the black community, we know you carry an extra burden right now and 23andMe stands in solidarity with you.
Our company is based on the foundation that all of us are linked by a shared thread - DNA - that we are genetically 99.5% the same. We share so much in common, yet black and brown skin means you will disproportionately experience injustices and prejudice that can put lives on completely different trajectories.
I feel awful and overwhelmed by the events going on. Hashtag after hashtag, there is little meaningful change. How can we break the cycle? The world is filled with people who, I believe, genuinely want to create an equitable society but are unsure how to take the first step to make that happen. We all have habits we need to break, biases we need to actively fight and silence we need to end.
As a leader who really cares, I feel the responsibility to not just talk about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, but to make meaningful changes and contributions through my own actions and how we operate at 23andMe. Our management team, Board and employee base must have greater diversity. I am ashamed to say I do not have a single black employee who is at Director level or above. Our product is euro-centric but must expand to be inclusive and equitable. We absolutely have the potential to be better. Despite our efforts, I have to honestly say that we are also part of the problem.
I'm holding myself accountable. I'm holding 23andMe accountable. And I'm asking that our customers hold us accountable. This will include making sure that we change our hiring practices, that we make sure we give greater promotional opportunities within the company, that we dedicate resources to evolve our product to better represent all communities and that my management team and Board have more inclusive representation.
George Floyd and many others in the black community died an unjust and tragic death. I send my deepest sympathy to the families, friends and communities that are grieving. We regrettably cannot change the past but I can certainly learn from this and will do everything I can to be part of changing the future.

Yup. Stupid.
For the record, I’d be pissed (and lobby for criminal charges based on what I saw in various videos) if that knee had crushed the life out of ANYONE who was not resisting.
The perpetrator (in this case the officer) was criminally wrong BIG TIME period. He had the suspect subdued and in control and no longer appeared to require the force imposed by his knee on the neck/throat area.
Is it possible to observe a situation and assign accountability anymore in America without making this strictly a race issue?
The criminal looters are wrong BIG TIME regardless of race.
ANTIFA is instigating insurrection, engaging in violence and subversion and are wrong BIG TIME regardless of race.
The officer who killed Mr. Floyd was wrong BIG TIME regardless of race.
Are these observations regarding the content of character and not color of skin even possible any longer? That’s just rhetorical...there are so many who wish to use and abuse race to divide and conquer this country. Shame on them.
A week or so ago Cuban called Trump lazy.:D

Not sure what the end game is for the far left.
Fail to see how destroying cities run by left wing politicians helps them.
Is destroying areas that vote blue somehow going to cause people living in areas that vote red to change their minds?
The more folks that you make dependent on government, the more power you have over the people.
The nation will not throw states under the bus - "we the people" will be stuck paying for their stupidity. Continued stupidity followed by repeatedly drawing off the teat of the rest of the US drags everyone down.
Its how the Cloward/Piven strategy is designed.
It's how Cloward/Piven has been working successfully in the background for over 50 years.
It works best when people argue that its not really a thing. "Cloward Piven" is just a right wing hoax...
...except for the fact that Richard Cloward and Frances Piven were REAL professors that worked REAL jobs teaching REAL students at Columbia University. They published REAL papers in 1971 and 1977 that openly declared that their goal was the restructuring of the government welfare program that would eventually result in a guaranteed-income program.
Cloward/Piven is probably just another conspiracy hoax by right wing extremists because the citizens in the United States of American Idol are too smart to fall for such silliness.
"Why Marxism?" An Evening at FEE with C. Bradley Thompson
Excellent take. Thanks for sharing.
“The lecture "Why Marxism?", is an examination of why so many people are still attracted to Marxism despite the history of totalitarianism and genocide.
Professor C. Bradley Thompson is the BB&T Research Professor at Clemson University and the Executive Director of the Clemson Institute for the Study of Capitalism. He has also been a visiting fellow at Princeton and Harvard universities and at the University of London.”

Not sure what the end game is for the far left.
Fail to see how destroying cities run by left wing politicians helps them.
Is destroying areas that vote blue somehow going to cause people living in areas that vote red to change their minds?
No, it’s the reason people living in blue cities/states move to red cities/states and then vote for blue politicians and bring it all with them.
Madness I tell you, madness.

They are commies - and destroying the old fits the loathing, envious philosophy - simultaneously, chaos and an apparent lack of control and “competence” potentially hurts Trump - creates more dependence (see CP discussion by Box) - the most certainly Democrat voting thugs (community organizers) have exerted their dominance in the space (always useful for future reference)...all these things together potentially move the needle farther left on the political spectrum...everything must be torn down in order to rebuild a more “perfect” man/system of social control.
The destruction phase is a useful idiot’s wet dream.
If a person doesn't have a pot to piss in and somebody comes along and says "Follow me and I'll give you a pot to piss in" - by the time they figure out they ain't getting a pot it's too late.

They are the enforcement wing's of the Radical Communist Democrat Party. Who is the leader of The Party, ?, I think it is still being contested. It is almost certain that HRC, Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, & other elected congress people are not the King Makers. Then Who is behind the scenes making the decisions about the future of the Democrat Party? Who is this ghost figure that will pick Joe's Vice Presidential running mate ? The chairman of the DNC ?The Big Money donors, The smoke filled room of political operatives ? ANY CANDIDATES that you the readers of the postings of this web site can think of ?

Once The Commission replaced the capo di tutti capi it became more difficult to read the tea leaves of the Democratic Party...with as much certainty...the Federation might have some say as well as AOC and Star-fleet Command. In years past, the Politburo with the blessing of the Presidium of the Central Committee had some say...Sharon Osbourne, Nick Cannon, Mel B and Howie Mandel will weigh-in along with the required Obama’s giving their blessing. Rumor has it that Heidi Klume and Simon Cowell will cast votes but don’t count out Tyra Banks, Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough as power brokers in this selection. Bernie Bros will share opinions but they are still sulking.
The ONE thing that you can be absolutely 100% sure of - in the selection of any Democrat VP candidate - will be that said candidate will be THOROUGHLY vetted...how in hell do you think we got Joe Biden? Or, Obama for that matter?
Sorry Tom, you deserve a serious answer to a serious question...but these are Democrats that we’re talking about...soooo as far as I can tell...
...for a variety of reasons my money is on Sofía Margarita Vergara for Biden’s VP candidate !

^^^^Lol, those are ‘spensive these days...might have to go green these days...green tip that is !
As I recall Holder and/or the Obama Administration had dreams of nationalizing the Police across the US, or at very least put them under the heavy thumb of the US Government.
That brings to mind the signage that read 'Defund the Police' that are commonly seen during this current situation.

To give you a serious answer to that very good question, Tom; I submit that George Soros and Bill Gates are the 2 most important opinion leaders followed by Oprah, Barry and William Jefferson Clinton to conplete the Star Chamber. YMMV

Democrats at War
A major party joins the enemy.
Wed Jun 3, 2020 David Horowitz
Front PageMag
The Democrat Party is at war with America. That is the clear message of the Democrats’ responses to the crises that have engulfed our nation over the last six months, made our streets war zones, and destroyed the small business communities that are the life blood of our system. When the country was attacked by a deadly virus from China in January, the Democrats’ attacked the president’s efforts to stop it at the border, then blamed him for the 100,000 deaths that followed. Yet Democrat governors controlled the health systems of every major center of the covid19 devastation and were 100% responsible for any policies that failed.
When the president attempted to re-open the economy in May, Democrat governors and mayors issued draconian orders to arrest individuals violating their “social distancing” injunctions by strolling in parks, lounging on beaches and – worst of all - attempting to revive their barbershops and salons. As a direct consequence of these imposed shutdowns forty million Americans lost their jobs. To many of us, the Democrats’ purpose was clear: to depress the economy and blame the consequences on the president. This became the incessant theme of their political utterances and ads.
Yet these seditious Democrat attacks on the commander-in-chief in the midst of the war against an invisible enemy maintained a cover of plausibility because of the uncertainties surrounding the virus and how it was spread. This mask was dropped when a civil insurrection erupted in the wake of the horrific police murder of George Floyd. In its wake America’s streets were filled with massive crowds of protesters and as it turned out domestic terrorists. These terrorists, led by the communist organization Antifa used the protests as a cover for violent and hate-filled attacks on ordinary citizens and their businesses. As these attacks escalated into the torching of city centers and the devastation of poor communities, the hypocrisies of Democrats and their true agendas became inescapably clear.
Virtually all the mayhem was centered in Democrat-controlled states and cities. The same mayors who had jailed local business people and ordinary citizens for congregating in groups of more than ten were utterly silent as crowds of thousands formed to tear their cities apart. Meanwhile not a single word was uttered, not a single arrest made, by these same Democrat governors and mayors to prevent the protesters and rioters from violating the social distancing ordinances they had used to close churches and houses of worship the week before. While stores, apartment buildings and even police stations were torched by violent radicals, while ordinary citizens were being terrorized, Democrat governors were reluctant to call out their national guards and nip the riots in the bud.
This reluctance became active resistance when they defied the president’s appeals to them to take every measure necessary to stop the the terrorists in their tracks and restore law and order to our cities. One of the most frightening sights amidst all the mayhem was the direct threat the street terrorists posed to the White House. Thousands of rioters and protesters gathered in front of the White House.
What were the protesters doing at the White House in the first place? The president had condemned the murder of George Floyd and called his family immediately after the event. There wasn’t a politician or public figure in the entire nation who was defending the killer cop. Why were these crowds menacing the White House and attacking the secret service – fifty of whose members had already been injured by their violent assaults? Every night for the preceding week, the “peaceful protest” had turned into violent attacks on law enforcement and the surrounding area. And night after night the Democrat mayor of Washington failed to provide the security necessary to make the street in front of the White House a safe place for the members of our government, including the president.
On Sunday May 31, the mob in front of the White House set fire to the 200-year-old St. John’s church. Fed up with the support that Democrat governors and mayors were giving to the insurrection and the violence, the president decided on a bold step. On Monday June 1, he massed overwhelming numbers of the national guard, and demanded an early curfew planning to clear the streets and demonstrate to the seditious governors and mayors what they needed to do. The national guard drove the angry mob – protesters and terrorists – away from the White House and then the president and key members of his cabinet walked over to the church.
Every American who cares for their country and its president, who was watching this walk, held their breath, uncertain as to whether the president and his cabinet would be attacked and possibly assassinated, as so many public figures on the left had already advocated. Yet no sooner had the walk been completed than CNN and the Democrat media were mocking the president and creating the Democrats’ new talking point: Trump had ordered the national guard to use tear gas to attack a group of peaceful protesters in order to feed his narcissism for a photo-op. As if Donald Trump needed a photo op, and as if the peaceful protesters across the country had not systematically provided cover for the black clad Antifa terrorists wreaking havoc on the country. As if the need to use tear gas did not expose the menace posed by a crowd that was ready to violate a curfew in front of the White House and resist the representatives of law enforcement who had asked them three times to leave.
Along with Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and the Democrat mayor of Washington DC, Senator Elizabeth Warren condemned the president’s action, summing up the party line: “The President of the United States tear-gassed peaceful protestors in order to clear the way for a useless photo-op outside the White House—just after vowing to activate the military against our own people. Lives and our democracy are in danger.” Lives and our democracy are definitely in danger. But the danger comes from a Democrat Party that is at war with their country and willing to aid and abet a terrorist force, Antifa, whose clearly stated purpose is the destruction of the country.

This Country has gone mad and not one f'ing pu&&y assed Governor in those states who's cities are burning will lift a finger to stop it. They are sitting in their stupid citizen paid mansions watching reckless POS rioters and looters tear it down, killing innocent people (and animals) and taking pot shots at the police. It's disgusting and they have lost their ability to govern period. Someone definitely needs to freakin drag them out, tar and feather the bastards and march them down Main Street. I'm going to head to the hills with my weapons, ammo, provisions, cases of wine/growlers of beer and my coffee...Aye Yai Yai.....take a side....damn.....working from home gives me way too much time on my hands.....

In the liberal city of Phila. PA. The mayor, Jim Kenney is a progressive democrat liberal who is not a leader but is a pandering pawn of the DNC. The city has experienced @ 50 bombings of ATM machines in around the city & the magnitude of the explosive devices and the damaged caused is not being reported by the liberal MSM. The IED's are a Terrorist tool and the group using them are domestic terrorist. The local Police, FBI, The BATF &E have done nothing to stop this attack on ATM's. Its only a matter of time before one of the explosives is detonated in a crowd of people and serious injury and death occur.

First couple paragraphs nail it:
Has America’s long-storied love affair with the underdog finally gone too far? If you rounded up a group of Antifa rioters and their soyboy college-snowflake accompanists currently looting cities across the country and asked them why they hate our President so much, there’s a strong chance their replies would come back along the lines of, “He’s a smug, uncouth, lying racist who is arrogant, inarticulate, buffoonish and a bully. He’s a Nazi-KKK-Fascist-Russian asset with plastic hair and orange skin and, well… we just hate him.” However, if you injected sodium pentothal into them and put the polygraph on them, the deeply submerged, unvarnished answer might be that he represents -- and champions -- winners and they know they are losers.
They hate him because they envy him even as they subconsciously despise themselves. He has a goddess for a wife while they sport hoodies and man buns, spouting inarticulate postmodernist drivel in a pathetic attempt to attract any available female; usually the ones driven by juvenile compassion and pathological altruism.

Maybe COVID IS the World War Z virus?
What 'World War Z' gets right -- and wrong -- about viruses
June 21, 2013, 7:04 PM EDT
By Maggie Fox
The virus spreads quietly in China before being carried around the world by travel and commerce. It infects people through bites, and seemingly changes the brain and behavior of victims. Society is disrupted as panic spreads and millions succumb.
OK, so no one really thinks that a virus could turn half the world population into zombies. And the premise of the new movie, "World War Z," is far from realistic. But some of its details do bring up real-life issues, from the political and diplomatic fights about countries trying to cover up disease outbreaks, to the very real possibility of a pandemic that could wipe out millions within the space of a few months.
It’s no mistake the film suggests the zombiefying virus starts in China. Something similar really happened in 2002, with the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) virus, which eventually spread to the rest of the world, killed more than 770 people and infecting close to 8,000 before it was stopped.
Chinese officials were accused of being less than honest about the outbreak, which was doubly worrying because scientists were already twitchy at the time about H5N1 bird flu. Perhaps due to years of public health diplomacy, Chinese officials have been widely praised for sharing information about the current outbreak of H7N9 bird flu, which the World Health Organization says has infected more than 130 people and killed at least 37 of them.
Similarly, there was some suspicion that Saudi Arabia wasn’t being completely open about an ongoing outbreak of a new virus called MERS, for Middle East associated respiratory syndrome. But again, after some careful health diplomacy, Saudi officials invited an international team of scientists to investigate MERS, which has infected 64 people and killed 38 of them.
Any of these viruses could cause a pandemic. Flu viruses often do – in 1918, the H1N1 flu killed or helped kill anywhere between 50 million and 100 million people. Its descendant, the H1N1 swine flu, killed more than 280,000 people in 2009 – and that was a mild pandemic.

Your friend is treading on thin ice.
The easiest answer is "it depends"
What politician...
What state...
If your friend is from the metro Baltimore area - she probably has a green light to tar and feather any and all conservative politicians, right leaning libertarians, or blue dog democrats. (pretty sure there are no blue dogs in Maryland)
If your friend looks cross-eyed at a liberal from her home state she is going to be in a heap of trouble.
Now if she moves to Oklahoma, or one of the remaining red states out west that still use logic and common sense - she can probably tar and feather politicians from both parties once they have crossed over to the dark side.
Tarring and Feathering politicians is VERY dependent on three things...

This will lead to an increased push for electronic money, which the deep state Gubmit wants. The Powers That Be would like to get rid of paper money. It's easier to track everything you do and who you are via stored history on computers in the Cloud.
Cost of storage is really cheap. I read years ago that it cost a measly 100 bucks spread out through out your life time to store all your emails and phone calls. If true, they can track the whole world if they want. Prices have probably come down since I read that too.
No one can avoid sales tax or under the table payments for services and goods.
Next time you go to a gun show, if they ever come back, buy everything that doesn't require a back ground check with cash.

Knowledge is power and BIG.GOV’s (or even big tech’s) knowledge (essentially, about all you purchase/do) is too personal and too valuable to give up regarding all of your personal activities. Your personal tendencies in the hands of unscrupulous politicians/ Big.Gov types would just be too tempting for abuse by those intent on controlling our lives.
All information is subject to manipulation and abuse - the megalomaniacs intent on control do not need this info. Communist China has this type of info and (along with big tech) pioneered the concept of social credit scores. If you deviate from PARTY wishes you are humiliated, punished or worse. Purchase something, post something, read something or say something, travel somewhere, eat something, etc., etc., that Big Big Brother disagrees with - and either feel the wrath of the mob or become subject to restrictions in order to “get your mind right.” This type of ubiquitous social monitoring and potential for punishing flies in the face of all of our notions of freedom. It does however match the belief system of authoritarian, Globalist, Big.Gov, communists and mob rule types.
China Virus (and the riots) has (have) clearly illuminated the darker side of the various power hungry politicians - China Virus (and the riots) has (have) also illuminated the piss poor judgment, poor analytical and decision-making skills, lack of common sense and the obvious lust by some for naked power and control over people. This combination of power lust (as well as selective enforcement of laws) and incompetence is a real and dangerous threat to our freedom and the way of life in our nation.
We are in a particularly active period of the age old existential struggle for individual freedom by otherwise law abiding citizens versus mob rule for politically correct ends. Agree - CASH is king !
Knowledge is power and BIG.GOV’s (or even big tech’s) knowledge (essentially, about all you purchase/do) is too personal and too valuable to give up regarding all of your personal activities.

An interesting blog post - Minnesota is the state of Amy Klobuchar, Ilhan Omar and Keith Ellison...self described leftists all.
Does it seem plausible that they oversee a city and state infected with vast, systemic racism?
Is there something else in the MN system that might be at fault?
Could the actual policy choices - made by left run cities and states - and shouted at the top of their lungs in the left’s echo chambers (most recently shouting to defund the police) be contributing factors to the problems faced by their MN citizenry ?
Complete blog post at link - excerpts below. The description of MN public policy makers is interesting.
Surely Minneapolis, Of All Places, Must Have Cured Racism By Now
June 02, 2020/ Francis Menton
Progressives and Democrats are the people who never tire of accusing their political adversaries of racism, or maybe even of “white supremacism.” Elect us, the message is, and we will do away with these evils for good.
If that proposition were valid, then clearly Minneapolis would be in the forefront of those places that have long since done away with racism. Among bastions of woke progressivism in this country, it is almost impossible to top Minneapolis. The place is currently run from top to bottom and at all levels of government by representatives of the far left wing of the Democratic Party; and that has been true for as far back as human memory stretches.
Consider:
The current Mayor of Minneapolis is Jacob Frey. He won the office in 2017 in a free for all among 17 candidates, of whom 10 were from the Democrat-Farmer-Labor Party and not one was a Republican. The candidates competed as to who was the farthest left. Frey out-lefted them all. His big issues were “climate change,” affordable housing, and, yes, reforming the police.
The last Republican Mayor of Minneapolis was Richard Erdall, who served for one day in 1973. Prior to Erdall, the previous Republican Mayor was Kenneth Peterson, who left office in 1961.
The City Council consists of 13 members, of whom 12 are members of the DFL (Democratic) Party, and one is a member of the Green Party. There are no Republicans.
The federal Congressperson is Ilhan Omar: far-left Democrat, Muslim, immigrant from Somalia, and member of “the squad.” Omar won her seat in 2018 by a margin of 78-22 over her Republican opponent.
The Governor (Tim Walz) and both U.S. Senators (Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith) are all Democrats.
Minnesota’s chief law enforcement officer is Attorney General Keith Ellison, a Democrat of the radical left variety, an African American and a Muslim, who previously held Omar’s Minneapolis Congressional seat for 12 years, and who has recently been Deputy Chair of the Democratic National Committee.
The police commissioner in Minneapolis is a mayoral appointee. The current commissioner, Medaria Arradondo, an African American, has been in office since 2017.
Of course, it was on the watch of all of these people that George Floyd died as police officer Derek Chauvin was kneeling on his neck in a horrific incident that we have all seen on video. Demonstrators around the country have appropriately protested the treatment to which Floyd was subjected. But although the demonstrators protest what occurred, it is not clear what kind of change they are seeking going forward. Is what they are seeking more and yet more of the progressive governance model? Minneapolis had already elected the farthest left of progressive leftists to every available office, all with promises to bring about social justice, equality, and the end of racism. And yet it is exactly on the watch of these very people that this incident occurred.
President Trump? Good luck with that. In our federal system, the states have their own sovereignty. Officer Chauvin worked for Commissioner Arradondo, who works for Mayor Frey. Arradondo and Frey are the people who are responsible for the conduct of the police in Minneapolis, overseen to some degree by Walz and Ellison. President Trump has no more authority to direct or control the conduct of Arradondo or Frey or Chauvin than you or I do.
Oh, but wait. Is there some impediment that keeps Frey or Arradondo from bringing more accountability to the officers in the Minneapolis Police Department? Actually, there is. That is the police union, here known as the Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis. Its status is enshrined in the Minnesota’s Public Employee Labor Relations Act. From the Wall Street Journal, May 31:
Among the most deeply embedded problems that departments including Minneapolis face is a difficulty punishing officers who are too often insulated from repercussions, law enforcement experts and community leaders said. Unions like the Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis fight to shield their members from punishment, both through contract negotiations and disciplinary hearings, . . .
From the Journal’s piece, it seems that Officer Chauvin had some 18 complaints on his record. The details of all of those are shielded from public scrutiny by privacy protections negotiated by the union. All we know is that Chauvin received two “letters of reprimand”; but even as to those, we cannot find out the details of the incidents in question. In any event, Officer Chauvin was certainly not fired, let alone suspended from duty, despite all the complaints.
The idea that public employees should have a right to unionize, and should be able to negotiate, through collective bargaining, protections to shield themselves from accountability — that, of course, is another basic pillar of the progressive government model. The public employee unions are a big part — perhaps the very most important part — of the coalition that supports progressive candidates for state and local offices throughout the country, including Minnesota.
Has any one of the Minnesota Democratic politicians who hold responsibility in this situation — Walz, Ellison, Frey, Klobuchar, Smith, Omar, or the 13 members of the Minneapolis City Council — ever advocated for a change to the Minnesota public employee unionization regime to enable the supervisors to bring accountability to the rank and file? Of course not. The public employee unions are the principal funders of their campaigns. These politicians claim to be seeking “social justice” and the end to racism, but in practice they do the bidding of their union paymasters, which means holding public employees free from accountability in all but the very most egregious incidents.
Writing in National Review on May 31, John Fund argues that “It’s Past Time to Examine How Police Unions Protect Bad Cops.” Excerpt:
Writing in the Stanford Law Review, scholar Katherine Bies notes that ever since “the rise of police unions to political power in the 1970s,” they have succeeded in shielding their members from public accountability. “Police unions have established highly developed political machinery that exerts significant political and financial pressure on all three branches of government,” Bies writes. “The power of police unions over policymakers in the criminal justice context distorts the political process and generates political outcomes that undermine the democratic values of transparency and accountability.”
So are any of the protesters seeking the end to the protections that shield police officers from nearly all accountability? If they are, I haven’t been able to find it. The protesters know that they are outraged, but somehow they are unable to put two and two together to figure out that the progressive politicians that they support are the very same people who are perpetuating the regime of public employee unaccountability that leads to tragic incidents like that of George Floyd.

Hay there, Hi there, Ho there, Tom Keenan is the "leader" of the gang, lives in the Mt. Airey section of Philadelphia.
This carnage was lost in all the madness...25 killed...85 shot in Chicago...where is the outrage? Where is BLM and ANTIFA? Oh, that’s right, they really only care about overthrowing the US government.
When you defund police or reduce funding is this what you might expect to see in other cities?
18 murders in 24 hours: Inside the most violent day in 60 years in Chicago
“We’ve never seen anything like it, at all,” said Max Kapustin, the senior research director at the University of Chicago Crime Lab.
By Tom Schuba, Sam Charles, and Matthew Hendrickson Jun 8, 2020, 6:21am CDT
From 7 p.m. Friday, May 29, through 11 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 25 people were killed in the city, with another 85 wounded by gunfire, according to data maintained by the Chicago Sun-Times.

Did they already that ? How replace the police commissioner, defund the police, where is hate crime victim Jessie Smollet, The Mayor Lightfoot, & city alderman are at odds on "The Problem".... Somebody better step-up and get a handle on Chicago crime before it is to late.
I cannot wait to leave this area, this state. Just a few more years until retirement.
Hang in there !
Where the fuck is BLM and ANTIFA on this ? They don’t really care about violence (unless they are the ones fomenting it). They really don’t care about the plight of everyday folks.
Like most Democrat politicians, they only care about destroying our current political system...image...and grabbing power.
There is no doubt...Democrat policies in our cities and towns have failed the people. The MSM has failed the people...
Note well, its not law abiding gun owners taking over cities, shitting in the streets or shooting up neighborhoods (but let this toxic mob rule shit expand a bit more and people will have to defend themselves and their neighborhoods)...
Chicago, Seattle and Minneapolis, Atlanta, Portland, Baltimore, Los Angles, San Francisco, Boston and NYC are suffering under Statist tax and spend policies - suffering under mob rule in the streets.
Defund the police ? YGBSM...DeFund the left leaning politicians.
Make guns more difficult to obtain or own for law abiding folks...after what we’ve witnessed...YGBSM x10.
This behavior is insane in America. ANTIFA, the gangs, illegal drugs are a blight on this nation.
Whichever political leader will best put a stop to this nonsense deserves our support.
Those who argue to defund the police in this environment (and don’t fool yourself it is only ONE major political party who has members advocating for this) are clearly idiots with an agenda.
This behavior in Chicago, Seattle, Minneapolis, Atlanta, NYC, etc., etc., sickens me.
Shooting kids, taking over portions of cities and shitting in the streets in America...YGBSM.
Rant over.

104 shot, 14 fatally, over Father’s Day weekend in Chicago
By Sun-Times Wire Updated Jun 22, 2020, 10:02am CDT
Five children killed
The latest child fatality happened early Monday in Austin on the West Side.
Two boys, 15 and 16, were walking in an alley at 12:18 a.m. in the 4700 block of West Superior Street when someone fired at them, possibly from a gray sedan, according to Chicago police. The 15-year-old was shot in his leg, chest and abdomen. He was taken to Stroger Hospital and pronounced dead. The other boy, 16, was hit in the ankle and also taken to Stroger. He was in fair condition.
Saturday night, a 13-year-old girl was killed and two other teens were wounded in Austin on the West Side.
The girl was inside a home about 8:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of North LeClaire Avenue when the shots were fired, and she was struck in the neck, police said. Amaria J. Jones was taken to Stroger, where she was pronounced dead, authorities said.
Two boys, 15 and 16, were sitting on a porch when one of them noticed a red laser pointing at him and heard gunfire, police said. The younger boy was struck in the back and the older boy was struck in the leg. They were taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in good condition.
Two hours earlier, a 3-year-old boy was fatally wounded when someone opened fire at his father while they were driving in Austin.
The toddler, identified as Mekay James, was struck in the back about 6:25 p.m. when someone in a blue Honda pulled behind the black SUV the boy’s 27-year-old father was driving in the 600 block of North Central Avenue and fired several rounds, authorities said.
A police source said the father was believed to be the intended target of the shooting.
The father drove the boy to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, police said, but the boy was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. The father was also treated for a graze wound to the abdomen.
Two teenage boys were killed just over an hour before that in South Chicago.
Jasean Francis, 17, and the 16-year-old were in an alley about 5:10 p.m. in the 7900 block of South Luella Avenue when a male suspect approached them and fired shots, authorities said. Francis was shot in the back, chest and hand while the 16-year-old was shot in the back and side. Both were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead.

If you follow some of the propaganda that our enemies (foreign and domestic) use with their agenda you will see that the suggestion that black on black crime is even a thing...
...is racist
"We" do not have the right to meddle in "culture" - its why the left isnt out trying to SOLVE crime - they are out trying to ABsolve themselves of guilt while DEsolving the police forces that would bring criminals to justice. Its also why you see an absence of outrage by the left towards Islam's views on women and homosexuality or repeated felony crimes levied by illegal aliens that carry around a get out of jail free card.
...and besides - who are we to interfere with their cultural trends and practices
Christians on the other hand are a product of the millenia old colonial patriarchy that has infected most of Europe for thousands of years.
White Anglo Saxon and Germanic tribes intermingled with Danish and Viking invaders and spread through the world like a virus - Once an invader always an invader.
Its also why we arent allowed to mention the native American tribes' practice of wiping each other out long before Columbus unleashed his plan to use smallpox and brown liquor to steal the continent from its true owners.
Brutality and violence are the calling cards of the oppressive and bigoted patriarchy. Cities like Chicago, Seattle, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Portland, Baltimore, Los Angles, San Francisco, Boston, New York and all the others are victims of a white majority owned federal government that conspires to lay blame at the feet of the democrats.
Do not try to appropriate culture and then use it to fuel some bigoted spreadsheet to spread lies about crime statistics...
Ya' gotta learn to speak the lingo if you want to get along in modern day America. Of course getting your B.S from a liberal arts college is also a good way to get a look at the leftist game plan.
Well Hell’s Bell’s...some folks were paying attention and really did learn their Marxist lingo...seems ANTIFA and BLM really do share some things in common.
An interesting article on its own but I found the excerpt below to be of particular interest regarding the founders of BLM.

The Soviet Plan for ‘Ideological Subversion’ Describes Our Current Turmoil
By Eileen F. Toplansky
American Thinker
<snip>
“Not coincidentally, we learn that the two founders of Black Lives Matter in 2013 boasted two years later of their Marxist training in "ideological theories." Via Just The News:
Patrisse Cullors, who founded the group with Alicia Garza and Opal Tometi in 2013, was interviewed by Morgan State University Professor Jared Ball in 2015 regarding the movement she helped to create. Ball in that interview asked Cullors about "critiques" of her group, ones that allege "a lack of perhaps ideological direction in Black Lives Matter that would allow it to be, to fizzle out."
Responding to that question, Cullors said that the group "do[es] have an ideological frame."
"Myself and Alicia in particular are trained organizers. We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories," she said, adding that the group's founders sought to "build a movement that could be utilized by many, many black folk."

You have also seen their organizing model for revolution in action in the past several weeks. It explicitly references color revolutions and the Arab Spring. All these revolutions benefitted from our State Department’s Civil Society 2.0 Tech Camp training in organizing and collaboration. Now, these skills and methods are taught domestically.

John Kerry is no hero- he is just another Marxist hippy from the 60's
Like others from his generation- I accuse his service to the nation as being nothing more than his stepping stone to politics - not a venture into patriotism.
There are countless politicians that served in the military simply to use it as a punchline for their political careers - JK is one of them.
Keep in mind that article describes the same comments made by Bill Clintons wife a few years ago...
"You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about," Clinton said in an interview with CNN's Christiane Amanpour.
"...if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and or the Senate, that's when civility can start again."
A political party that only offers civility when they are in power.
but hey, lets all just pretend that they are the party of equality and justice.
The democrats WILL NOT be civil unless they are in charge - and even when they are in charge - they will not be civil to dissenters.
Hear that
Believe that
They have repeatedly TOLD people that....

The denial is rampant...that is why her (BLM founder) own words on video are powerful.
These folks are Marxists using controversial events to focus control or influence over certain populations in a continuous and longstanding attempt to overthrow the current political system.
The struggle is for control or influence over and the support of a relevant population.
BLM and ANTIFA both use subversion, coercion, attrition, and exhaustion to undermine and erode power and influence of our existing political structure. Many in the media are willing supporters or fools or both.
Many of our University’s crush free speech on campus (they invent the concept of “hate speech” to stifle debate) and indoctrinate the youth.
When you have a Marxist describing themself as a Marxist...it’s tougher for folks to deny what’s going on.
Old Dog New Trick
06-23-2020, 23:30
I’m a little PUI at the moment and can’t go into greater detail, but wanted to say, these women and a man responsible for BLM are not Marxist communist with a purpose based on either of those principles. In fact, I believe they don’t know what they are talking about because they are too stupid to have original thought. They are opportunists being led by highly educated socialists who have read and mastered Sal Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” and the socialists beliefs for change. The African (both American and African natives) or more specifically the black community as a whole is being used and manipulated by white radical leftists to further an agenda for complete power and control of the United States of America because it has stood in the way of their global domination they have sought for world control and power for like ever, or since the reconstruction era following WWII, or before then.
This movement isn’t about racism or equality. When the global socialists achieve their desired goals and dominance they will cast aside and kill the prominent leaders of their movement as sacrificial members and the black community will be left worse than all they all had ever achieved under trickledown economics and affirmative action plans instituted by Democrats since the Civil Rights Act.
When LBJ (supposedly) said, “I’ll have them niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years” he and his supporters had already had a plan and it wasn’t appeasement. And this was before the “Revolution” started! It was important enough that JFK was assassinated and the Vietnam war grew from a skirmish in Southeast Asia to a full blown long and protracted war and a draft of the most vulnerable (black and poor white Americans) at the time.
If anyone here thinks this is somehow the result of blacks honoring their least worthy citizens you’re smoking dope! If it is so important for them they would be marching against the Democratic leadership and burning Chicago, Baltimore, Atlanta, and Los Angeles on a weekly basis for the black on black violence that happens every single day.
These people don’t even know what Marxism or Communism is let alone what democracy and capitalism has offered them. They got a bad education if they got educated at all in the inner city schools they attended.
Travon Martin, Tamir Rice, Michael Brown, George Floyd, Rayshard Brooks and all the other black men killed by the police or citizens are not martyrs, they are criminals and wannabe thugs who choose to break the law and flaunt their skin color as an excuse for stupidity. None of them had to die at the hands of a police officer but they made a conscious decision to help accomplish that choice.
If these people want real change, believable change, maybe they should look to the local and congressional leaders they choose to elect over and over, their local education departments and the teachers they send their fatherless children to be educated by. It’s not the police who need reform. The police are doing their job, sometimes it means taking a life of someone who believes the rules are not for me but for thee - a true Democrat in the making - Can grow up to be a Maxine Waters or some other POS who found politics as a profession where accountability and ethics are not high on lists of accomplishments.
Just maybe my opinion and the ramblings of a FOG but this has nothing to do with George Floyd and everything to do what happened between 2008-2016 and what didn’t happen on November 8, 2016.

No matter what they believe, or outwardly act out, they will eventually find out what the Poles discovered, after helping kick the Germans back west, at the hands of Communists when Stalin was through with them. Then it became, put down your gun and get on the east-bound train, or go into the forest with a shovel. It's what commies do afterward but, until then, they will not stop.
That video will end up in the memory hole even if it means ******* has to scuttle the ship.
It doesn't serve their agenda so it needs to go.
Now, if they can find some footage of President Trump putting ketchup on a New York Strip or eating two scoops of ice cream - THAT video will start trending...........
Whether BLM and ANTIFA are pro-communist or simply anti-America - no matter - they still provide aid, comfort, support and cover for America’s enemies.
There is a name for these folks...an older article below by Thomas Sowell speaks to their kind.
Useful idiots
Thomas Sowell
May 20, 2003 12:00 AM
TownHall.com
The term "useful idiots" has been attributed to Lenin, as a description of those mindless people in the Western democracies who would always find ways to excuse whatever the Soviet Union did. Columnist Mona Charen's new book Useful Idiots shows that such people are still with us.
Long after the Soviet Union's horrors had become too widely known around the world for their sympathizers in the West to be able to get away with whitewashing the USSR, new Communist dictatorships arose to become the new objects of the affections of the Western intelligentsia and of like-minded people in the media and in politics.
As Mona Charen's book <read book review> makes painfully clear, this usually happened in a pattern that was repeated again and again, with the same useful idiots saying the same kinds of things again and again. She spells this out and names names, quoting Peter Jennings, Jesse Jackson, Anthony Lewis, Ted Kennedy, Ted Turner and a long list of others.
The founding of the Castro dictatorship in Cuba set the pattern that was followed later in Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Grenada. By initially concealing the fact that he was a Communist, and having some non-Communists around him as window dressing, Fidel Castro was able to play the role of a popular liberator, out to end oppression, hold free elections, and do all sorts of good things for "the people."
The useful idiots in the United States and other Western democracies ate it up. Many still do, to this very moment.
Once in power, Castro tolerated no opposition, held no free elections, and established a police state that made the previous dictators look like amateurs. Those who spoke out against what was happening were jailed or executed. So were those who tried to flee the country.
Now that the mask of liberator was no longer necessary, Castro revealed that he was -- and always had been -- a Communist, despite useful idiots who claimed that it was American hostility which drove him into the arms of the Soviet Union.
Not only was Castro part of the Soviet bloc from day one, he made Cuba the first Soviet military base in the Western Hemisphere and supplied Cuban troops to go help other Communists to gain and hold power in Africa.
How did the useful idiots see all this? In addition to saying that it was all the fault of the United States, because of American hostility to Castro, they said that the Cuban people had a right to live under whatever form of government they wanted, whether or not Americans liked or disliked that kind of government. Eleanor Clift of Newsweek even said that she was not going to criticize the Cubans' "lifestyle."
It never seemed to occur to these apologists that the Cuban people were not allowed to choose anything. They did what they were told, if they wanted to live. The fact that tens of thousands of them tried to flee the island at the risk of their lives, whether from drowning at sea or being shot by the Castro regime, never made a dent in the rosy vision of the Cuban dictatorship held by many in the media, in politics and among the intelligentsia.
With minor variations, this same pattern reappeared with the later emergence of other Castro-like movements and regimes in Nicaragua, El Salvador and Grenada. Mona Charen's book spells it all out with quotes from the useful idiots themselves.
Some of their gushing praises of brutal dictators simply have to be seen to be believed. Nor was this infatuation with Stalinist oppression limited to the Western Hemisphere. Some gushed over the mass murdering Mao regime in China and even the consummate bizarre evil in North Korea.
The collapse of the Soviet bloc has now made it clear that these useful idiots were not pro-Communist. They were and still are anti-American. They have contempt for the values of the American people and the principles on which this country was founded and built.
They are ready to give a sympathetic hearing to our enemies around the world, whether those enemies are Communists or Islamic fundamentalists or whatever. Mona Charen's Useful Idiotsspells it all out, citing chapter and verse.

If you prefer to read an article rather than wade through the 33 page PDF on the BLM web site - an excerpt pasted below from an article describing a BLM publication “What We Believe...” complete article at link below.
<snip>
“BLM’s antagonism to the family is glaring. On the organization’s website, Black Lives Matter proclaims, “We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and ‘villages’ that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.”
“Beyond the mistaken assumption that the “nuclear family” is unique to the Western world, their position is profoundly concerning. BLM, as an organization, seeks to dismantle the very institution that mountains of published academic research has consistently demonstrated as most likely to strengthen and empower Black Americans and their children: the traditional, nuclear family.”
“But they don’t stop there. Black Lives Matter also advocates other family redefinitions long at odds with most African Americans’ views, stating, “We foster a queer‐affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual.”
“Seriously, is “freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking” really on the minds of most African Americans when they wake in the morning? Well, it apparently weighs heavy on the minds of BLM — enough to list in their relatively short, official statement “What We Believe.”
“The statement continues, “We make space for transgender brothers and sisters to participate and lead. We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift black trans folk…” I humbly ask, how many African Americans truly see “heteronormativity” and the “objective reality of gender” as major hurdles to their dreams for justice, respect, economic and social empowerment, or a better life?”

From a letter (https://www.thesheridanpress.com/opinion/letters_to_editor/letter-black-lives-matter-coverage/article_981feda0-b707-11ea-b912-5b1dfad3c17e.html) in the Sheridan Press:
In the SP, Caitlin Addlesperger encouraged us to donate. (See Addlesperger's column here.) When one clicks the donate link on the BLM website up comes ActBlue Charities, whose self-proclaimed mission is to “enable Democrats and progressive groups.” Of the millions donated to BLM a large amount reportedly has ended up in the coffers of the Democrat National Committee.
Full disclosure: the link in the original cited article now doesn't go to ActBlue. They keep coming up on the radar, though. These folks are very good at this, and they have a ton of these "shell" operations.
I don't understand why so many people refuse to accept that organizations like these are NOT activists.
They are revolutionaries.
Listen to them.
...go deeper - don't just "listen" to them HEAR what they have to say. They will not stop. They can't be bargained with. If you meet their demands they will move the goalposts and ask for more.
...or you could continue to listen to people like Snuffalupagus or a bunch of retired generals that got their stars by playing the long game through 8 years of Obama activism
Your choice - you be the judge

Interesting observation - point well taken.
But, I think the phrase “minor sabotage” (particulary the use of the term minor) does a disservice to the reach of the ANTIFA movement.
The term “minor” itself tends to disarm or downplay the group’s activities to the average reader. It lulls them into into thinking these ANTIFA folks have no real influence.
They did, however, shut down free speech at a bastion of free speech (Berkeley)...and numerous other scheduled events at other major universities...not particularly minor. Not minor for the event(s) (and not minor for all those potential future events that never happened), not minor for the speaker(s), not minor for the audience(s), not really minor for the nation and not even minor for those who disagreed with the speakers.
The First Amendment takes a big hit from ANTIFA when they shut down free speech with violence or even the mere threat of violence. Folks do notice.
Regarding the suppression of free speech by the use of actual violence or merely the threat of violence on campus - ANTIFA appears to be a major player.
And as you well know, university campuses are battlegrounds for ideas - unless one group suppresses all discussion - and other groups follow ANTIFA’s lead.
ETA: How’s “Red Anarchists” or “AnarcoCommies” sound ?
This story dovetails with the comments identifying extreme and heavy handed suppression of free speech on campus. It fits as well here as in any thread on the BLM movement or the subversion of historically enshrined ideals on campus and beyond.
Oh, the students are watching and learning...

UMass Nursing Dean Fired For Saying "Everyone's Life Matters"
Authored by Jonathan Turley,
Zerohedge
07/02/2020
We have been discussing the growing fear of professors and students over the loss of free speech on campuses for years, but recently those concerns have been greatly magnified with the investigation or termination of professors for expressing opposing views about police abuse, Black Lives Matter movement or aspects of the protests following the killing of George Floyd. There is a sense of a new orthodoxy that does not allow for dissenting voices as campaigns are launched to fire faculty who are denounced as insensitive or even racist for such criticism. The most recent controversy involves the recently installed University of Massachusetts-Lowell Dean of Nursing Leslie Neal-Boylan. Dr. Neal-Boylan had only been in her position for a few months when she was fired.
As a blog dedicated to free speech, it has been difficult to keep up with the rising number of cases of the curtailment of speech or academic freedom on our campuses. What is equally alarming is the relative silence of most faculty members as individual professors are publicly denounced by their universities, forced into retirement, or outright terminated for expressing dissenting views. This case however raises an equally serious concern over the loss of due process for academics who find themselves the focus of a campaign for removal — or simply summary dismissal.
Dr. Neal-Boylan was heralded last September as a “visionary leader” by the university in taking over the deanship. Her writings include strong advocacy for those with disabilities in the nursing field. Those writings show tremendous empathy and concern for inclusivity in the profession.
This controversy began when Dr. Neal-Boylan wrote the email which started with the following words:
“Dear SSON Community,” the email provided to Campus Reform begins.
“I am writing to express my concern and condemnation of the recent (and past) acts of violence against people of color. Recent events recall a tragic history of racism and bias that continue to thrive in this country. I despair for our future as a nation if we do not stand up against violence against anyone. BLACK LIVES MATTER, but also, EVERYONE’S LIFE MATTERS. No one should have to live in fear that they will be targeted for how they look or what they believe.”
One can understand that many felt that the statement detracted from the need to focus on the treatment and loss of black lives. However, one can also read these words as a nursing dean expressing opposition to all violence.
However, the email was immediately denounced in a tweet as “uncalled for” and “upsetting” by “Haley.” The university quickly responded to Haley and
“Haley – Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The university hears you and we believe black lives matter. See the letter the chancellor sent out Monday.”
The letter is a statement in support of Black Lives Matter. Soon thereafter the University reportedly fired Dr. Neal-Boylan.
University spokesperson Christine Gillette issued a statement to the site Campus Reform Wednesday that stated
“The university ended the employment of Dr. Neal-Boylan on June 19 after 10 months in her role as dean of the Solomont School of Nursing. As with all such decisions, it was made in the best interest of the university and its students.”
What is particularly concerning is a June 19 letter referenced on the site that was allegedly written by Neal-Boylan and sent to Provost Julie Nash. The letter states
“It is important to point out that no one ever gave me an opportunity to share my views of how the college and school were interacting nor explain myself regarding the BLM email. My meeting with you, [Dean] Shortie [McKinney], and Lauren Turner was clearly not intended to give me an opportunity to defend my actions. I was condemned without trial.”
The statement from the university does not state what specifically is “in the best interest of the university and its students.” However, the failure to specifically state the grounds and the process used to reach the decision is alarming. The University let the public record stand — and the view that Dr. Neal-Boylan was fired for expressing the view that “Black Lives Matter, but also Everyone’s Life Matters.”
What is “in the best interest of the university and its students” should include free speech and due process. The mere fact that we do not know if Dr. Neal-Boylan was afforded either right is chilling. If there were other grounds against her, the university should state so. Instead, the clear message to faculty is that the dean was fired for expressing concerns over the loss of lives across the country in these protests.
I can understand the sensitivity to those who feel that the inclusion of other lives tends to take away the focus on the need for action on the treatment of African-Americans in our society. However, it is possible that, as a leading health care figure, Dr. Neal-Boylan was speaking out to seek to end all violence in the protection of human life. Medical and health care professionals tend to oppose all loss of life and violence. The question is whether an academic should be able to express such a view and, equally importantly, whether there is a process through which a professor can defend herself in explaining the motivation and intended meaning of her words.
The uncertainty over the process used in this case creates an obvious chilling effect for other faculty members. In 30 years of teaching, I have never seen the level of fear among faculty over speaking or writing about current events, particularly if they do not agree with aspects of the protests. Not only is there a sense of forced silence but universities have been conspicuously silent in the face of the destruction of their own public art and statues. Even New York Times editors can be forced out for simply publishing opposing views.
As we have previously discussed, chilling effects on free speech has long been a focus of the Supreme Court. Free speech demands bright line rules to flourish. The different treatment afforded faculty creates an obviously chilling effect on free speech. Avoiding the chilling effect of potential punishment for speech is a core concern running through Supreme Court cases. For example, in 1964, the Supreme Court struck down the law screening incoming mail. A unanimous court, Justice William Douglas rejected the law as “a limitation on the unfettered exercise of the addressee’s First Amendment rights.” It noted that such review “is almost certain to have a deterrent effect” on the free speech rights of Americans, particularly for “those who have sensitive positions:”
Obviously, many of these school are private institutions but freedom of speech and academic freedom have long been the touchstones of the academy. What concerned me most was that I could not find a university statement on a matter that resulted in the canning of one of its deans — just an ominous note that the page of Dr. Neal-Boylan can no longer be found.

I have noticed that there are quite a number of groups that 'pass through' Act Blue. I would not be surprised that many of the 'Donors' have no clue their organization of choice is actually just a store front for another cause....Glenn Beck has reverted back to his old ways mapping the pipeline that in many, many cases leads back to The Tides Foundation, Open Societies and you know who.
I have gingerly discussed this and the riots with a few 'Suburban Soccer Moms' who are focused on any warm body other than President Trumps. Diversion of donations and bogus charity fronts gets comments of 'That's not right'.
Continuing a bit off topic, but it's related..
These are all very intelligent women, without them their husbands would be completely lost. As more than one has said my husband doesn't know the working end of a screw driver. Promptness, reliability, work ethic and talking with them, not to them are key. A month ago one went out her way to let me know how much she trusted me. Trust equates to security. At present having a husband that brings in a good incomes equates to security, it ensures a roof over their head, food on the table and a stable environment for a family....if things were to go off the rails in the US, these Soccer Moms idea of security might change from bread winners to ass kickers.
So I've been wondering what security does a Joe Biden with dementia offer that President Trump doesn't?

I was trying to determine where to post this opinion and I think it ends up here.
Watching the news today there was a segment on Hong Kong protesters being arrested for holding a vigil remembering what they started a year ago and those who lost their lives fighting against the CCP (mainland) oppression.
I’d give anything and much much more to trade our recently educated youth in America for all the young adults living in Hong Kong.
Can we send “Antifa” to China?

Empirical and anecdotal evidence shows that Antifa is, in fact, highly networked, well-funded and has a global presence. It has a flat organizational structure with dozens and possibly hundreds of local groups.
Antifa's stated long-term objective, both in America and abroad, is to establish a communist world order. In the United States, Antifa's immediate aim is to bring about the demise of the Trump administration.
A common tactic used by Antifa in the United States and Europe is to employ extreme violence and destruction of public and private property to goad the police into a reaction, which then "proves" Antifa's claim that the government is "fascist."
Antifa is not only officially tolerated, but is being paid by the German government to fight the far right. — Bettina Röhl, German journalist, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, June 2, 2020.
"Out of cowardice, its members cover their faces and keep their names secret. Antifa constantly threatens violence and attacks against politicians and police officers. It promotes senseless damage to property amounting to vast sums." — Bettina Röhl, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, June 2, 2020.
A common tactic used by Antifa in the United States and Europe is to employ extreme violence and destruction of public and private property to goad the police into a reaction, which then "proves" Antifa's claim that the government is "fascist." Pictured: A senior citizen flees after being brutally beaten by members of Rose City Antifa on June 29, 2019 in Portland, Oregon.
U.S. Attorney General William Barr has blamed Antifa — a militant "anti-fascist" movement — for the violence that has erupted at George Floyd protests across the United States. "The violence instigated and carried out by Antifa and other similar groups in connection with the rioting is domestic terrorism and will be treated accordingly," he said.
Barr also said that the federal government has evidence that Antifa "hijacked" legitimate protests around the country to "engage in lawlessness, violent rioting, arson, looting of businesses, and public property assaults on law enforcement officers and innocent people, and even the murder of a federal agent." Earlier, U.S. President Donald J. Trump had instructed the U.S. Justice Department to designate Antifa as a terrorist organization.
Academics and media outlets sympathetic to Antifa have argued that the group cannot be classified as a terrorist organization because, they claim, it is a vaguely-defined protest movement that lacks a centralized structure. Mark Bray, a vocal apologist for Antifa in America and author of the book "Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook," asserts that Antifa "is not an overarching organization with a chain of command."
Empirical and anecdotal evidence shows that Antifa is, in fact, highly networked, well-funded and has a global presence. It has a flat organizational structure with dozens and possibly hundreds of local groups. Not surprisingly, the U.S. Department of Justice is currently investigating individuals linked to Antifa as a step to unmasking the broader organization.
In the United States, Antifa's ideology, tactics and goals, far from being novel, are borrowed almost entirely from Antifa groups in Europe, where so-called anti-fascist groups, in one form or another, have been active, almost without interruption, for a century.
What is Antifa?
Antifa can be described as a transnational insurgency movement that endeavors, often with extreme violence, to subvert liberal democracy, with the aim of replacing global capitalism with communism. Antifa's stated long-term objective, both in America and abroad, is to establish a communist world order. In the United States, Antifa's immediate aim is to bring about the demise of the Trump administration.
Antifa's nemeses include law enforcement, which is viewed as enforcing the established order. A common tactic used by Antifa in the United States and Europe is to employ extreme violence and destruction of public and private property to goad the police into a reaction, which then "proves" Antifa's claim that the government is "fascist."
Antifa claims to oppose "fascism," a term it often uses as a broad-brush pejorative to discredit those who hold opposing political beliefs. The traditional meaning of "fascism" as defined by Webster's Dictionary is "a totalitarian governmental system led by a dictator and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism, militarism, and often racism."
Antifa holds the Marxist-Leninist definition of fascism which equates it with capitalism. "The fight against fascism is only won when the capitalist system has been shattered and a classless society has been achieved," according to the German Antifa group, Antifaschistischer Aufbau München.
Germany's BfV domestic intelligence agency, in a special report on left-wing extremism, noted:
"Antifa's fight against right-wing extremists is a smokescreen. The real goal remains the 'bourgeois-democratic state,' which, in the reading of left-wing extremists, accepts and promotes 'fascism' as a possible form of rule and therefore does not fight it sufficiently. Ultimately, it is argued, 'fascism' is rooted in the social and political structures of 'capitalism.' Accordingly, left-wing extremists, in their 'antifascist' activities, focus above all on the elimination of the 'capitalist system.'"
Matthew Knouff, author of An Outsider's Guide to Antifa: Volume II, explained Antifa's ideology this way:
"The basic philosophy of Antifa focuses on the battle between three basic forces: fascism, racism and capitalism — all three of which are interrelated according to Antifa.... with fascism being considered the final expression or stage of capitalism, capitalism being a means to oppress, and racism being an oppressive mechanism related to fascism."
In an essay, "What Antifa and the Original Fascists Have In Common," Antony Mueller, a German professor of economics who currently teaches in Brazil, described how Antifa's militant anti-capitalism masquerading as anti-fascism reveals its own fascism:
"After the left has pocketed the concept of liberalism and turned the word into the opposite of its original meaning, the Antifa-movement uses a false terminology to hide its true agenda. While calling themselves 'antifascist' and declaring fascism the enemy, the Antifa itself is a foremost fascist movement.
"The members of Antifa are not opponents to fascism but themselves its genuine representatives. Communism, Socialism and Fascism are united by the common band of anti-capitalism and anti-liberalism.
"The Antifa movement is a fascist movement. The enemy of this movement is not fascism but liberty, peace and prosperity."

Antifa's Ideological Origins
The ideological origins of Antifa can be traced back to the Soviet Union roughly a century ago. In 1921 and 1922, the Communist International (Comintern) developed the so-called united front tactic to "unify the working masses through agitation and organization" ... "at the international level & in each individual country" against "capitalism" & "fascism" — two terms that often were used interchangeably.
The world's first anti-fascist group, Arditi del Popolo (People's Courageous Militia), was founded in Italy in June 1921 to resist the rise of Benito Mussolini's National Fascist Party, which itself was established to prevent the possibility of a Bolshevik revolution on the Italian Peninsula. Many of the group's 20,000 members, consisting of communists and anarchists, later joined the International Brigades during the Spanish Civil War (1936–39).
In Germany, the Communist Party of Germany established the paramilitary group Roter Frontkämpferbund (Red Front Fighters League) in July 1924. The group was banned due to its extreme violence. Many of its 130,000 members continued their activities underground or in local successor organizations such as the Kampfbund gegen den Faschismus (Fighting-Alliance Against Fascism).
In Slovenia, the militant anti-fascist movement TIGR was established in 1927 to oppose the Italianization of Slovene ethnic areas after the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The group, which was disbanded in 1941, specialized in assassinating Italian police and military personnel.
In Spain, the Communist Party established the Milicias Antifascistas Obreras y Campesinas (Antifascist Worker and Peasant Militias), which were active in the 1930s.
The modern Antifa movement derives its name from a group called Antifaschistische Aktion, founded in May 1932 by Stalinist leaders of the Communist Party of Germany. The group was established to fight fascists, a term the party used to describe all of the other pro-capitalist political parties in Germany. The primary objective of Antifaschistische Aktion was to abolish capitalism, according to a detailed history of the group. The group, which had more than 1,500 founding members, went underground after Nazis seized power in 1933.
A German-language pamphlet — "80 Years of Anti-Fascist Actions" (80 Jahre Antifaschistische Aktion)" — describes in minute detail the continuous historical thread of the Antifa movement from its ideological origins in the 1920s to the present day. The document states:
"Antifascism has always fundamentally been an anti-capitalist strategy. This is why the symbol of the Antifaschistische Aktion has never lost its inspirational power.... Anti-fascism is more of a strategy than an ideology."
During the post-war period, Germany's Antifa movement reappeared in various manifestations, including the radical student protest movement of the 1960s, and the leftist insurgency groups that were active throughout the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.
The Red Army Faction (RAF), also known as the Baader-Meinhof Gang, was a Marxist urban guerrilla group that carried out assassinations, bombings & kidnappings aimed at bringing revolution to West Germany, which the group characterized as a fascist holdover of the Nazi era. Over the course of three decades, the RAF murdered more than 30 people & injured over 200.
After the collapse of the communist government in East Germany in 1989-90, it was discovered that the RAF had been given training, shelter, & supplies by the Stasi, the secret police of the former communist regime.
John Philip Jenkins, Distinguished Professor of History at Baylor University, described the group's tactics, which are similar to those used by Antifa today:
"The goal of their terrorist campaign was to trigger an aggressive response from the government, which group members believed would spark a broader revolutionary movement."
RAF founder Ulrike Meinhof explained the relationship between violent left-wing extremism and the police: "The guy in uniform is a pig, not a human being. That means we don't have to talk to him & it is wrong to talk to these people at all. And of course, you can shoot."
Bettina Röhl, a German journalist and daughter of Meinhof, argues that the modern Antifa movement is a continuation of the Red Army Faction. The main difference is that, unlike the RAF, Antifa's members are afraid to reveal their identities. In a June 2020 essay published by the Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Röhl also drew attention to the fact that Antifa is not only officially tolerated, but is being paid by the German government to fight the far right:
"The RAF idolized the communist dictatorships in China, North Korea, North Vietnam, in Cuba, which were transfigured by the New Left as better countries on the right path to the best communism....
"The flourishing left-wing radicalism in the West, which brutally strikes at the opening of the European Central Bank headquarters in Frankfurt, at every G-20 summit or every year on May 1 in Berlin, has achieved the highest level of establishment in the state, not least thanks to the support by quite a few MPs from political parties, journalists and relevant experts.
"Compared to the RAF, the militant Antifa only lacks prominent faces. Out of cowardice, its members cover their faces & keep their names secret. Antifa constantly threatens violence & attacks against politicians & police officers. It promotes senseless damage to property amounting to vast sums. Nevertheless, MP Renate Künast (Greens) recently complained in the Bundestag that Antifa groups had not been adequately funded by the state in recent decades. She was concerned that 'NGOs and Antifa groups do not always have to struggle to raise money & can only conclude short-term employment contracts from year to year.' There was applause for this from Alliance 90 / The Greens, from the left & from SPD deputies.
"One may ask the question of whether Antifa is something like an official RAF, a terrorist group with money from the state under the guise of 'fighting against the right.'"
Germany's BfV domestic intelligence agency explains Antifa's glorification of violence:
"For left-wing extremists, 'Capitalism' is interpreted as triggering wars, racism, ecological disasters, social inequality and gentrification. 'Capitalism' is therefore more than just a mere economic order. In left-wing extremist discourse, it determines the social & political form as well as the vision of a radical social & political reorganization. Whether anarchist or communist: Parliamentary democracy as a so-called bourgeois form of rule should be 'overcome' in any case.
"For this reason, left-wing extremists usually ignore or legitimize human rights violations in socialist or communist dictatorships or in states that they allegedly see threatened by the 'West.' To this day, both orthodox communists and autonomous activists justify, praise and celebrate the left-wing terrorist Red Army Faction or foreign left-wing terrorists as alleged 'liberation movements' or even 'resistance fighters.'"

Meanwhile, in Britain, Anti-Fascist Action (AFA), a militant anti-fascist group founded in 1985, gave birth to the Antifa movement in the United States. In Germany, the Antifaschistische Aktion-Bundesweite Organisation (AABO) was founded in 1992 to combine the efforts of smaller Antifa groups scattered around the country.
In Sweden, Antifascistisk Aktion (AFA), a militant Antifa group founded in 1993, established a three-decade track record for using extreme violence against its opponents. In France, the Antifa group L'Action antifasciste, is known for its fierce opposition to the State of Israel.
After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 & the collapse of communism in 1990, the Antifa movement opened a new front against neoliberal globalization.
Attac, established in France in 1989 to promote a global tax on financial transactions, now leads the so-called alter-globalization movement, which, like the Global Justice Movement, is opposed to capitalism. In 1999, Attac was present in Seattle during violent demonstrations that led to the failure of WTO negotiations. Attac also participated in anti-capitalist demonstrations against the G7, the G20, the WTO, & the war in Iraq. Today, the association is active in 40 countries, with more than a thousand local groups & hundreds of organizations supporting the network. Attac's decentralized & non-hierarchical organizational structure appears to be the model being used by Antifa.
In February 2016, the International Committee of the Fourth International advanced the political foundations of the global anti-war movement, which, like Antifa, blames capitalism and neoliberal globalism for the existence of military conflict:
"The new anti-war movement must be anti-capitalist and socialist, since there can be no serious struggle against war except in the fight to end the dictatorship of finance capital & the economic system that is the fundamental cause of militarism & war."
In July 2017, more than 100,000 anti-globalization and Antifa protesters converged on the German city of Hamburg to protest the G20 summit. Leftist mobs laid waste to the city center. An Antifa group called "G20 Welcome to Hell" bragged about how it was able to mobilize Antifa groups from across the world:
"The summit mobilizations have been precious moments of meeting & co-operation of left-wing & anti-capitalist groups & networks from all over Europe & world-wide. We have been sharing experiences and fighting together, attending international meetings, being attacked by cops supported by the military, re-organizing our forces & fighting back. Anti-globalization movement has changed, but our networks endure. We are active locally in our regions, cities, villages and forests. But we are also fighting trans-nationally."
Germany's domestic security service, in an annual report, added:
"Left-wing extremist structures tried to shift the public debate about the violent G20 summit protests in their favor. With the distribution of photos and reports of allegedly disproportionate police measures during the summit protests, they promoted an image of a state that denounced legitimate protests & put them down with police violence. Against such a state, they said, 'militant resistance' is not only legitimate, but also necessary."
Part II of this series will examine the activities of Antifa in Germany and the United States.
It's only when we apply reductionism to the definition that we have a chance to defeat them.
Antifa = terrorist organization = enemy combatants.

These nutty leftists can cause destruction, but they lack the ability to transition and consolidate any gained power because of the nature of the existing economy.
Specifically, transportation and insurance.
They always go after densely populated areas because of friendly/weak local leaders and the anonymity of crowds.
The handful of adventures into less densely populated areas have been severe failures (but have made for some entertaining videos).
Densely populated areas are completely dependent on surrounding areas for everything which, in turn, requires transportation.
When these areas become unsafe, transportation of goods diminishes.
There are already trucking companies who are planning to cease service anywhere that the police are subject to defunding.
They don't want to risk drivers/equipment/cargo and don't want to pay all the elevated insurance costs which go with servicing such areas.
Existing businesses in the area of all sorts will cease to operate because insurance will be too expensive or denied altogether and profit margins will further suffer from tightening supply/increased costs due to shipping issues.
The same insurance/logistical problems apply to any attempted functioning of local governments.
Like it or not, insurance and shipping companies decide how (and whether) economies function.

I wonder if the PD's in any of these metro-hives currently undergoing the lion's share of the visibility for the rioting are getting any benefit in terms of intel from all the much-vaunted fusion centers that were setup around the country. It's hard to tell if they're doing anything but reacting because their political bosses seem to have their hands tied to a certain extent. But someone should've, by now, put themselves in a position to glean the intent & future opns of these knuckleheads. The actual real-estate being contested in these cities is not a giant footprint. One city at a time isn't going to fix Antifa at the strategic level; but on a tactical level you'd think someone would have a thought about making them play somewhere else.
Unless
a) these fusion cells are all still just busy looking for keywords in emails that are insulting to Moochelle Obama, or redneck veterans with guns that fly a Mississippi CSA battle streamer on their pickup truck
b) the political will to win anything (versus "just don't lose") isn't there.
c) All the above.

Good guy or just another arm of the left?My sense is another of the offshoot 3rd-party efforts that appear on ballots from time to time. (The word "constitution" is very popular in the titles of these things.) The values expressed seem "leave us alone/traditionalist" enough. But as Pete (IIRC) correctly pointed out, these usually fail to really gain traction because they so often aim higher than they have created roots for. They always want to start at National or Federal-rep level, without having grown the local or state candidates successfully that will be truly viable as candidates.
BREAK
To respond to Antifa thuggery in their own words, I must share a resurrected tidbit from a blogger who passed away not long ago, and someone who's likely been read by many. Ol' Remus had The Woodpile Report and this nugget from him is, I think, worth pondering (especially by the left, don't say you weren't warned).
"Middle class America is no less violent than any other people. They seem passive because they're results oriented. They rise not out of blood frenzy but to solve the otherwise insoluble. Their methods of choice are good will, cooperation, forbearance, negotiation and finally, appeasement, roughly in that order. Only when these fail to end the abuse do they revert to blowback. And they do so irretrievably. Once the course is set and the outcome defined, doubt is put aside. The middle class is known, condemned actually, for carrying out violence with the efficiency of an industrial project where bloody destruction at any scale is not only in play, it's a metric. Remorse is left for the next generation, they'll have the leisure for it. We'd like to believe this is merely dark speculation. History says it isn't."

I get you, you must have a solid foundation if you want something to grow.
Digging into a bit further, the limo had American Wolf plastered in big litters down the each side. The first thing that came to mind after seeing that was a new History Channel real life drama to follow in the footsteps of Pawn Stars, Hunting for Hitler and Oak Island.
I guess it could be an attempt at a 3rd party, but that type of entrance is kind of corny and could be as detrimental as Kris Kobach cruising the Old Shawnee Day's parade in a red, white and blue jeep mounted with a 50 Cal.

This could fit in many places.
It is a succinct summary of similar observations that many others here have shared in various posts.
The rioters hate you and they cannot be reasoned with.
Reclaiming Our Culture from the Left
By Robert Spencer
August 21, 2020
American Thinker
Everyone knows it: the death of George Floyd was just a pretext. The rioters who continue every night to wreak havoc in Portland, and who are poised to engage in new orgies of destruction all over the country don’t know much and care less about Floyd.
They’re quite open about engaging in a “revolution” with the goal of destroying the existing order and replacing it with an authoritarian Marxist regime. But what we are seeing today is not new. Its seeds were planted decades ago. Now the question before us, if we want to preserve the United States as a free society, is what we must do to counter this violent, hate-filled movement.
There will be no easy fix. The Left’s long march through the institutions began in the 1960s and has ended in total victory; only a reverse march through the same institutions will ultimately overcome the catastrophic effects of the Left’s advance.
The leftist stranglehold on the educational system is a big part of the problem: the Antifa and BLM barbarians of today learned their hatred at our colleges and universities. Our children have been taught to hate the land of their birth. Who didn’t think this would bear bitter fruit?
There was some indignation among conservatives over the 1619 Project, which portrays the entire American enterprise as racist, oppressive, and hateful, winning the Pulitzer Prize, but that was just the culmination of decades of miseducation and propaganda disguised as education. I wrote Rating America’s Presidents: An America-First Look at Who Is Best, Who Is Overrated, and Who Was An Absolute Disaster as an antidote, to remind Americans, or show them for the first time, the heroes who made America great -- and the failures and sellouts who got us into this fix.
But the education most of the rioters have received has made them abjectly incapable of thinking rationally and evaluating claims on the basis of their logical coherence and supporting evidence. No amount of careful reasoning, no amount of evidence is going to convince most of the rioters that their rage is based on false premises, because they have been carefully educated throughout their lives to feel rather than think, and to believe that America is a nation of deep injustice with a shameful history and an equally condemnable present.
It doesn’t matter that the claims that the rioters and their defenders are making are false. It doesn’t matter that police brutality affects people of all races. It doesn’t matter that thoroughgoing civil rights legislation has made “systemic racism” a thing of the distant past.
The rioters know America is evil because they have been taught it all their lives by virtually every authority they have encountered, and those authorities have also taught them that those who tell them otherwise are stupid, contemptible, and operating out of ulterior motives.
This is true of the establishment media as well as the educational system -- not to mention the corporate culture, the entertainment industry, and more. As long ago as 1962, Richard Nixon famously complained about biased press coverage during his campaign for Governor of California in 1962 when he said, “You won’t have Dick Nixon to kick around anymore.”
The propaganda machine that did him in was in its infancy then. Now it is infinitely more powerful, and most people still take its power for granted. No one bats an eye when Democratic Party operatives such as George Stephanopoulos and Donna Brazile, and a host of others, go into the “news” business. It is taken for granted that every reporter for every major publication, every last one, is a hard-Left ideologue.
This has consequences far beyond simply giving only one side of the story and doing everything possible to make President Trump look as bad as possible. Government and law enforcement officials at all levels today have no problem appearing at functions of groups such as the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which the media consistently portrays as a “civil rights” organization when its agenda is in fact deeply subversive.
But they would never be caught dead at a conference of a group opposed to jihad violence and Sharia oppression of women, and if they did have the temerity to show up at such a gathering, they would have to answer to a hysterical media lynch mob enraged at their appearing at a meeting of a “hate group.”
All that is just a small part of a very large problem. If all this isn’t rolled back, the calls for revolution will get louder and shriller, and eventually prevail.
Can it possibly be done? Not all at once. But one step that could be taken now is the stripping of all federal funding from all universities and colleges that suppress all points of view that dissent from the leftist line. Another is a thoroughgoing reform of primary and secondary school material, such that it once again tells the truth about our nation, which will naturally make students proud to be American.
PBS and NPR, as just two more leftist propaganda mills, should also lose all federal funding. Let them survive on their merits if they can. And as for the rest of them, the legal protections that all the social media giants to maintain a monopoly on the means of communication must also be taken away. The self-appointed guardians of acceptable speech must be swept aside. Let the people determine for themselves who is telling the truth and who isn’t.
And as for the entertainment industry. Turn it off. Or watch movies from the 1940s and 1950s (which are better than the new ones anyway). If John Cusack and Robert de Niro want to lecture their audiences with hate-filled socialist agitprop, turn them off. If enough people did this, they’d feel it – and maybe a clever entrepreneur will arise in Hollywood who will realize that there is a great deal of money to be made from people who don’t want Leftism and anti-Americanism shoved at them in every movie.
Recover a sense of our history, our values, our culture, and teach them to your children. Our young people will not defend what they do not value. Learn in Rating America’s Presidents why America is even worth defending.
These are just a few general notes. There is much, much more that must be done. Yet none of this is even on the table now. If the nation is to survive, however, these things must be done. This fight isn’t over. And if the riots have shown us anything, it is that free Americans face a ruthless and determined foe. We must be no less resolute in the defense of truth, justice, and freedom.

It will be tough to roll back the brainwashed socialist advance in this country when too many of the young folks have been indoctrinated to believe that if your not a socialist - then by default you must be a fascist.
Couple that, with opposing views often being labeled hate speech, and reasonable opposition is simply being shut down on campus...in corporate America and by the media.
Badger, you are not alone in your observations - things may indeed get spicy no matter the election outcome - but if Trump wins then this rioting shit will most likely get shut down much faster.

When Trump is re-elected and “if” the DOJ has the balls...first things first...trot out the Deep State in DC and put them all on trial, find them guilty of a coup and conspiracy to over throw the government. Sentence them to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Second step, the FBI walks onto campus of “liberal U” and arrests every professor who has been involved with Antifa (I’m sure we know who they are) put them in prison for 10 years and fine them the maximum allowable by law (it should wipe out their life savings.)
Third and final step...round up the usual suspects from BLM/Antifa/Soros funded black operations and put them all n orange jump suits for a minimum of five years. In a federal prison where the only media they get is re-education on the principals of being an American.
All the rest of the riff raff will go back to their parents basement and spend time on the internet where the FCC can monitor them for subversive speech and activities. Then the FBI can clean up the stragglers.
I would never have thought in my lifetime that that is what needs to happen but these are very interesting times.
The alternative is a little more draconian.
If Biden is elected then get ready for a second paragraph to the Declaration of Independence solution and the Second Amendment to the BOR to solve the problem with both government not of the people and self-defense of American ideology. (Or Civil War part two)

Speaking of which, what ever happened to the "professor" at West Point who indoctrinated Commie Cadet Rapone?

Right now the stones are not there, in my opinion. Even for all the snakes concerned - and it's a very long list - Barr isn't going to pursue "political" crimes for which no statute exists. Getting Brennan, Clapper & Comey for perjury, and people like Strzok for falsifying records, and someone like Sen. Mark Warner for failure to register as a foreign agent won't do for the visceral satisfaction of life in prison. But they're provable - IF Barr has the stones to proceed with what Durham's team has. I don't think Barr has it - I think he's part of the problem and will give top-cover to traitors because he won't let "political" aspects or motives be factored into criminal conduct. And Durham's lead investigator Aldenberg, by the way, has it all, big picture as well as the details from each subordinate investigator's rabbit hole.
So it's a big "if"... not holding breath; it's more profitable to just do some cardio because this isn't the movie "Absence of Malice" and Wilford Brimley isn't going to come in at the end to exact justice and fire the snakes.
This has been quite the digression from the thread title so I apologize. Just seems the state of affairs has some circular stuff going on, what with politicos giving other politicos cover, and politicos giving Communist street thugs cover.

That sounds like the plot for one of Tarantino's alternative history movies - I like it.
"Once Upon a Time Inside The Beltway"
Michael Madsen is in a lot of Tarantino movies - we could cast him as President Trump. This is a big project so it will HAVE to be an all-star cast. There isn't another member of the SAG that could fill the role of Barr like Harvey Keitel - the penultimate "cleaner" - Keitel is going to really bring the DOJ role to life.
Then of course we need to find a role for Kurt Russel: Death Proof - Hateful 8 - there is no way "Once Upon a Time Inside The Beltway" get a green light without him in the cast.
Tim Roth gets a role too - after watching Jules Winfield put that gun in his face and says, "The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be the shepherd." there's no way Roth doesn't get a part in the movie...
...Tim Roth is going to finally give some soul to Adam Shiff.
I'm thinking of a best-supporting-actor nomination for Samuel L Jackson in his role as President Barack Hussien Obama - some of the best movie lines in the history of crooked politics came out of his presidency and Mace Windu will knock those lines out of the park:
"I've had it with these motherfucking republicans in this motherfucking congress!!!!"
Obama: I'm not giving you that money Iran. I'm buying something from you. Wanna know what I'm buyin' Iran?
Iran: What?
Obama : Leverage. I'm givin' you that money so I don't have to sanction your ass.
"Yes they deserved to be spied on - I hope it helps trigger impeachment"
I even have a great idea for the perfect Hollywood depiction of Nancy Pel0si and Cuck Schumer - to play the role of these two timeless democrats we're going to bring in none other than Jane Fonda and Sean Penn.
The tickets to the voting booth are going to be well worth the cost of admission. We have a special screening planned for the November with the grand opening in late January
...I'm thinking this film could win more Oscars than Ben-Hur

I love this concept; especially if this last part is a snuff film. Director's cut.
I wouldn't say snuff film - My virtue signaling is far to snobby to use that term.
...however, lets just agree that pretty much all Tarantino films go overboard on the violence. His films also manage to use the darkest virtue signaling to ever find its way into a theater. Now if ANTIFA and Democrats can be so tightly intertwined in their themes of violence and virtue, then who better to Produce and Direct "Once Upon a Time Inside The Beltway"
Tarantino has made a career out of Bad-Guys-as-Heros movies - what is Antifa and the current congress if not the incarnation of 600+ Bad-Guys-as-Heros ??
For shit sakes - Tarantino put a 1990's Bruce Willis in a ball-gag and then had him strangle a gimp and murder a guy with a Samurai sword while he stood by and watched a cop rape a gangster. He murdered Vinnie Barbarino in cold blood - he exploits a woman that seems to have a learning disability - he dabbles in illicit gambling for profit and even killed a boxer that he was supposed to 'let win' !!
Then like a true democrat, Tarantino had the nerve to explain how "Pulp Fiction" was full of positive and socially responsible themes:
-Everyone that abused drugs paid a high price for their irresponsible behavior.
-Violence begets violence - Butch had returned home to get his gold watch; a watch that had a history of honor and sacrifice and Butch needed to "earn" his birth rite so when Butch risked his life to save Marcellus from the evil sodomites, his character was redeemed and set free.
-Jules repented from his life of crime after feeling the touch of God.
-Vincent ridiculed the idea of redemption and died a violent death.
-There are two happy interracial marriages depicted in the film - Marcellus and Mia and Jimmy and Bonnie.
-Winston Wolfe demonstrated what professional business interaction should look like:
---He promised he would be at Jimmy's in 10 minutes - he made it there in 9
---He made it a point to become acquainted with the names of his clients before arriving at the home.
---He introduced himself and politely asked if he could enter the home.
---He politely asked for coffee and then thanked his host graciously.
---He took full responsibility for the quality of his work by electing to drive the tainted car.
-Tarantino resisted the urge to let corporate sponsors abuse his story with shameless product placement-instead he used fictional products:
---Big Kahuna Burger
---Red Apple Cigarettes
---McCleary Scotch Whisky
I'm convinced - if there is a hollyweird producer that could unapologeticly capture the pure essence of ANTIFA...in their own words, juxtaposed with the shitty state of American politics - that man would be Quentin Jerome Tarantino.

Ok: stand-by for sarcastic metaphoric analysis of the next 2 months and how the Blue Team, in collusion with ANTIFA, are going to play this....
The unfortunate and undeniable FACT is that there is less than 2 minutes left in the game:
America is winning by 1, but the Blue Team is within field goal range and their special teams are top notch. ANTIFA has been heckling America for the entire 4th Quarter in an effort to rally support for the Blue Team. ANTIFA sat quietly in the stands for most of the game while the Blue Team played dirty, bribed referees, hyped every single crisis imaginable, and even used the announcers to produce false playbooks in hopes of building support for the Blue Team but none of it has worked.
The 2 minute warning has come and gone - shit is getting dramatic and the Blue Team has finally moved within field goal range...
ANTIFA is already working their way down to the sidelines so they can rush the field at the end of the game.
The sad part is - no matter who wins - the ANTIFA types always riot after a big game.
Keep in mind though - the blue team DOES NOT NEED a touchdown to win - folks need to start understanding that. The blue team just needs to run out the clock and get as close as they can to make the kickers job a little easier. In fact - the Blue Team's key strategy is keeping their first string QB from getting out on the field where he can start calling his own plays - they all know that a head-to-head match up between 45 and the idiot that rode in on 44's coat tails will end in disaster.
The Blue Team has to rely on their special teams if they are going to win this game. They know that the 1st string QB has never followed a play book in his life and the 2d string QB doesn't have the talent to march the Team into the end zone on her own merit.
Sure - they could try the classic Hail-Mary pass. It doesn't take any real skill to just tell everyone to "go long" and then toss up a Hail-Mary; games are won that way all the time but this game too important. They have telegraphed their strategy and you can see it in the way they have been playing the game - the Blue Team is running out the clock. If you pay attention to the network coverage of the game - the Blue Team is doing EVERYTHING they can to keep 45' from getting back on the field in front of a packed stadium. They want everyone watching from home so they can cut to commercials if the Red Team makes a play.
I fancy myself a pretty good color commentator and I'm telling all of you 'Red' Team fans now - we all need to manage expectations...
The Blue Team knows you only gotta win this game by two points - a 51 to 49 victory against the current political backdrop is the same as a landslide . Because of that, number 45' is NOT going to get a chance to sack the Blue Teams QB.
ANTIFA will continue to riot in the stands to make sure that attention is diverted from the game. ANTIFA and BLM supporters will continue to be the ONLY people allowed inside the stadium because they cant control the pace of the game when everyone is allowed to watch. The Blue Team's field goal kicker can bounce Uncle Joe's head off the uprights at the buzzer - as long as it goes through, game over. Who cares if the victory puts him on the disabled list - they're going to bench him anyway.
If the Blue Team manages to pull this off, you can bet your sweet ass that the Blue Team will start the 2021 Season with their 2d String QB leading the huddle and ANTIFA will be checking ID's at the entrance to the stadium.
...by this time next year, it will be a federal crime to wear a Red Team jersey.
There is another signal I would like to give old Ms. Botox Queen, the "Peace" sign, guess which finger? The sad part is - no matter who wins - "they" always riot after the big game. They were still at it last night in Kenosha. Except that now some of their imported thugs have shed some precious bodily fluids.
There had been some armed-up folks 'protecting' a neighborhood gas station. Unknown here from video why one of these was on the ground or why he found himself pushed out so far from his detail, but the little Commies gang-rushing a good guy is a known tactic followed by back off, immediately followed by another rush to put the prey into the morgue or hospital, usually using boots or skateboards. This second rush didn't work out so well. At least 1 limping away, 1 likely fatality (mentioned in the overnight news feeds), and another who it turns out (after seeing other video) has an arm injury that may require him learning how to be a lefty. Regardless, good on the guy (imo) for staying in it, in what possibly could be a "fight or die" situation.
I note the immediate desire to scatter once things become a true 2-way range.
I wonder if QT would consider this (https://mobile.twitter.com/JuliansRum/status/1298497909466554368) the first documented case of push-back against the "red" coats. How about a reprise of Dick Dale's Misirlou?

Third, this was bound to happen. It only escalates from here. The sides don’t sit back, ponder what’s happened, and then suddenly decide that this might have been a misadventure and badly conceived project. Anger builds. Memories are made. This all redounds to increasing levels of violence. Once this spigot has been opened, it’s extremely difficult to close it.

The Kenosha shooter needs a substantial defense fund.
If not already hired, he should seek the very best legal counsel he can afford and be in contact with authorities to turn himself in - before he is positively identified to the mob.

Whether it is at hand or not, it is not unreasonable to suggest that certain Dem Mayors and Dem Governors believe that prolonged street conflict is near and they have chosen sides. And, this street violence is on the local pols...what do they think happens when they allow street mobs to talk shit and attack people and property. Night after night?
Do they have no common sense ? I mean absolutely NO common sense? We now see how long this shit continues if you let it go. Public safety cannot be maintained through inaction. This stuff should have been shut down night 1...or you see what happens in Portland... what is it like night 80 or something?
This inaction actually reminds me of how most aircraft hijackings were treated before 9/11. You generally flew to Cuba and were home in like 24 hours. That all changed after 9/11.
2020 might just be another 9/11 moment...certain city leaders need to change the response (and shut the violence down) because people are dying...business are being destroyed and people’s live are being changed for the worse - forever - using this current do-nothing strategy. The local pols are negligent and may even be criminally negligent. We know what happens when these riots come your way.

My heart goes out to the brave teen. His life will never be the same. The clips gave me flashbacks. At his age I lived through a city/country wide riot. Police and soldiers stood by as the mob looted and burned and raped and murdered with impunity. I had neither the instrument nor the training then to reach out to the provocateurs who were driving the mob
There’s earlier interview prior to the incident. He just got pepper sprayed by the peaceful protesters. If that’s accurate, it would help portray him as one w self restrain n reasonable mind. One clip also showed him walking to police cars w hands raised but he was told to get off the road. On the flip side, he travelled from out of state to participate. That would complicate his defense. I want to check if he has gofundme
I remember in CCW class I learned that no property loss is worth life. If someone take off with my car, I cannot legally give stat 124 grain intraosseous titrate to effect at c1-c2 spine from inside my house. Extrapolating the lesson to this rioting and looting, so the legal thing to do is really stand and watch as your property, your livelihood, future, college fund, retirement etc are burned to the ground? :(

Some good photo grabs in the article below.
If you blow up one of the pictures of the guy with both hands up...there appears to be a handgun in his right hand. I have seen other screen grabs online suggesting the same. ETA as I scroll down there is clearly a picture of a handgun in the right hand of the guy shot in his right arm. The same guy with his hands up when confronted with the reality of a victim on the ground fighting for his own survival.
So, initially the shooting looks like this young kid was being chased and attacked by armed perps. No video yet of what precipitated the chase.
Gunman, 17, is charged with first degree intentional homicide after shooting dead two BLM protesters in Kenosha as one victim is identified and video emerges of cops giving rifle-toting vigilantes water before the shooting
Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, was arrested on Wednesday in his hometown of Antioch, Illinois and charged with first degree intentional homicide following the shooting death of two protesters
The complaint says the teenager 'fled the state of Wisconsin with the intent to avoid prosecution'
Dramatic video captured the moment one victim was shot in the head and another was shot in the chest shortly before midnight on Tuesday. A third man was shot in the arm but he survived
The arrest of the teen came hours after video emerged of him walking up to police with his hands in the air and his rifle slung across his body just moments after the shooting
He was apparently allowed to walk by despite members of the crowd yelling for him to be arrested because he had shot people, according to witness accounts and video footage
Footage from earlier in the night appeared to show the teen guarding a local car shop with a group of armed militia members
Another video showed police thanking an armed group, of which the teenager appeared to be part of, and offered them water
News of his arrest came as President Trump said Wisconsin officials had accepted federal law enforcement support following several days of unrest across the city in the wake of Jacob Blake's shooting

Seriously?
Do you really think some of these assholes can be trusted with the responsibility needed to serve as an animal control officer?
Let me share with you a blurb from Hoke County NC...
Animal Control officers patrol our streets each day. Officers are also on call overnight in case an emergency occurs. While our officers are constantly looking out for the welfare of animals, their number one priority is public safety.
These people have demonstrably FAILED at the task of upholding public safety standards.
ABSO-FUCKING-LUUTE-LEE FAILED
Dog catcher is too honored a profession for these people. I wouldn't trust the Bidens, Clintons, Schooomers, Pel0sis, and Nadlers of this world to clean my shitter in fear that they would steal something from my fucking home - or harass my family - or cut themselves and then sue me in court for having an unsafe workplace.
In fact these turds usually get started and make their bones corrupting and fucking over people at the Dog Catcher level - or as community organizers - its how they pad their resumes...............
Mea culpa mea culpa - you are right Box - based on their current OTJ performance these folks should not be allowed...
Let me correct the record clearly...
...these degenerate, pusillanimous, fucktards should never be allowed a position of ANY public trust.
Particularly, when it comes to dogs.
So if you are not a "protester" then you are an "armed militia member ? That someone has finally been killed can come as no surprise, this is just the beginning.

Yeah, RE the link referenced by myself & Bblhead on the previous page, which is of a person trying to avoid conflict, seriously outnumbered, attempting to leave the situation, getting gang rushed and then falling down while he was running back to the rest of his group (per previously taken witness statements) and NOT engaging these mob-minded cowardly pieces of shit (as are all bullies) until THEY put him into a "fight or die" situation.
At that time I didn't know he was 17. I don't care. Given the circumstances I think he handled himself extraordinarily well. (There was more than one shooting last night though and I'm not sure yet the media isn't mixing its twitter clips with who was doing the shootings at more than one location.)
Of note, if the whirling dervish who put 3 rounds on meat and fought himself to his feet is the 17 year old then he's likely guilty of a Class A misdemeanor, and his parents or whoever the DA considers "the adult in the room" are going to be prosecuted for Class H & I felonies. (The 'H' is worse if the 'I' illegal possession caused the death.)
Nonetheless, the Rubicon is crossed. Calvera has been "stung" and briefly driven from the village. But he's considering his options and will be back.
So be it. "Kenosha" might actually take on more import than Portland for a reason that it certainly didn't want.
To celebrate life and that we don't let these f***ers dictate things, HH6 and I went out to grab a bite & stop by the casino and let her throw away a few pennies. As I watched CNN on the overhead, I noted the following: "world-renowned" Wolfie "the Runt Pup" Blitzer capping off his career by spending as much time with a guest discussing ( Quelle Horreur!) the tectonic shift in the plates because NBA players are going to sit out the last 3 playoff games. They only alternated between 2 stories for an hour. That, and Jake "Peckerwood" Tapper flailing his arms about the events in Kenosha and that "the police say a motive has not yet been determined."
I just kinda grinned - these slugs aren't worth even a single face-palm anymore.

I say that because from the onset of these 'peaceful protest' by rioters, the evil doer's have been arrested only to be let back on the streets to continue their mayhem by local Democrat Mayors, City Councils and City Prosecutors....while at the same time these same tools are harassing and arresting law abiding citizens when they attempt to protect themselves, go to church and try to put food on the table.

I’m just sick and tired of watching feckless “leaders” either elected or appointed continue to allow criminals, dirtbags, and their welfare recipient families and the live at home undergrads with a degree in social justice run the country into the ground over issues that have been solved years if not decades ago. None of this is because of Trump or racism but all of this is used to somehow hurt Trump. Trump doesn’t own the used car dealership or the family jewelry store looted and burned to the ground. Trump isn’t a member of the local VFW or Danish homestead group and he’s not a member or deciding city council member to determine use of force for the local PD. If your local PD can’t fire a bad cop fire the guy leading the department.
For the dirtbags don’t resist arrest and you are very unlikely to get shot or die. If you have spent more time of your life in prison than out of prison then make a change in life so you don’t go back...it’s pretty simple. The great majority of American citizens have figured out how to go through life with a minor moving violation and they didn’t get shot for driving any color including black.
It’s time to stop codling these misfits, arrest and detain them all...use city busses to take them to taxpayer funded stadiums and process them all for mug shots, arrest procedures and processing, hold them for 24-hours to review uploaded video accounts of their unlawful/illegal actions and take the ones that have assaulted others including the police or government property and send them to prison for between five to ten years and fine them up to $100,000 as the law may allow.
The “riff-raff’ will either learn what peaceful protest as allowed by the constitution is or they will find out.

They will be hauled before a court (local) and be adjudged - very publicly - "an outlaw" in the most classic sense of the term. They are someone who exists outside the umbrella of the rule of law and any/all of its protections. They are prohibited from living in any incorporated municipality, regardless of size. They have no recourse should a victim from a previous crime of theirs seek them out to exact whatever measure of justice they deem appropriate. Don't call 911, and you'll not be seen at the ER. Hit the road, disappear, because you are an outlaw. If someone should accidentally (or otherwise) run you over, your carcass will be disposed of IAW typical actions taken for roadkill, budget permitting. Then again, "buzzards gotta eat, same as worms."

You may or may not have to listen to a 15-30 second commercial the first time when hitting play, that's it. Then you're just listening as if you were in town with your scanner.
Of note: Da Guv changed the curfew from 2000 last night to 1900 tonight. Also, gas stations must have their pumps shut down by 1700 and, time permitting, officers are checking to make sure that's done. Compared to metros, small town (not like mine but smaller than MKE). Out of town cops are also helping out with the workload of having out of town Commies. They are tired, but of good spirits it seems and morale seems to be alright.

Good find.
Unfortunately, the truth does not matter to the left. I fear that this kid and his family will be put through hell.
Moreover, the “adults” in charge need to own up to the fact that when they hamstring our law enforcement in any way, others will fill the vacuum. We have seen this time and time again. This lack of leadership is what contributes to the actual chaos we see on the ground. It is predictable, so predictable that I fear that it must be intentional.
That dereliction and the suffering caused by these decisions is not forgivable.

That dereliction and the suffering caused by these decisions is not forgivable.Absolutely. When a citizenry have confidence that they can trust & be protected by their police force, and that rule of law is applied properly, there is no market for a group whose goal is to undermine confidence in the government.

The problem is that there are no "adults" in charge in this socialist states/cities. Those in charge see the anarchy as a benefit not a problem...at least until the anarchy makes its way to their neighborhood.

Yup. Just being out there when he doesn’t live there is baggage. There are so many more facts that will come out that will drive the narrative - on both sides of the situation.
If the past is any guide this kid and his family are about to experience hell.
The fact is, there should have been law enforcement out there in force - not some wet behind the ears kid attempting to stop rioters (that’s not a knock on his demonstrated survival skills - just that the situation was chaotic, complex and not necessarily appropriate for a 17 year old to sort out).
Lack of leadership at the local level is driving the chaos (political, law enforcement and DA’s). These three groups (combined with federal help if accepted) - with everyone on the same page about shutting down the violence...night 1. Well, they’d just tell the kid to “go home we got this.”
ETA just saw Tucker Carlson’s succinct tweet on the subject...IMO it captures the moment...the lack of local leadership owns this in EVERY city.

The 3 shot (2 killed) in #Kenosha, Wisc. at the BLM riot have been identified.
1). Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, was the first one killed. Video allegedly shows him chasing teen shooter & throwing something at him. Rosenbaum was a registered sex offender for a sex crime involving a minor.
2). Anthony Huber, 26, was shot & killed in Kenosha, Wisc. at the BLM riot. He was filmed chasing down the armed teen and hitting him when he was on the ground with a skateboard. He has a criminal history that includes charges of battery & repeat domestic abuse. #KenoshaRiots
3). The third who was shot (& survived) is Gaige Grosskreutz, 26. He's a member of the People’s Revolution Movement. He was filmed chasing after the teen w/a pistol. He was shot at close-range in the upper arm. He has a criminal record that includes being intoxicated & armed w/a gun.

Are we really surprised that looting and arson accelerated to murder?Typical accurate assessment from Carlson, although I disagree with the highlighted portion because - in the narrative of this especially - words matter. The perpetrators of these types of crimes have been shown in the past to murder. What happened with Kyle Rittenhouse was Kyle Rittenhouse defending himself. There is a difference, and Tucker knows that.
To his larger point I'd simply say that, clearly, the moment (and it happens early on these days) the civil authority concedes the citizens' real-estate to the feral & tribal marauders then the insurgency has achieved one of their objectives. They've made the local government look powerless. And it accomplishes nothing but to embolden them. "Hey look, the Mayor and the pasty-faced whimp governor and "our Bro" the Lt. Gov have given us the streets!" (Except for the HS kid who drives 15 miles to standup with some older guys and say 'No'.)

Tucker could have conflated Seattle CHOP events and the same night as this (Kenosha shooting) in Seattle protesters tried to burn down a police station with people inside by jamming doors of escape. That is pretty much attempted murder!
I read Tucker’s comments as suggesting that once the authorities in charge cede the public space to looting and arson...are murders really far behind ?
He was not calling the kid a murderer - but making the logical inference that a natural escalation from authorities foolishly allowing criminals to dominate the public space to commit arson...
...is death in the same public space such a giant leap ?
In the heat of battle sometimes one’s choice of words could be more polished - and hindsight is 20/20.

Good news indeed.
Here is more - just received the email below:
GOA: Media Demonizes Apparent Self-Defender Kyle Rittenhouse
Springfield, VA – Gun Owners of America (GOA) Senior Vice President Erich Pratt released the following statement on Kyle Rittenhouse’s citizen-involved shooting:
“Based upon publicly available video evidence, it appears that Kyle Rittenhouse was acting in self-defense. And despite fake news media reports, it is clear that Kyle was not firing indiscriminately into a crowd.
“GOA has reached out to Rittenhouse’s attorneys and the Lake County Public Defender’s office, and we have our own attorneys and use of force experts looking into this case, too. In the meantime, we demand fair treatment from the media, because up till now, their coverage has been horrific. With no evidence, they have labeled Kyle as a racist and a vigilante, but that just indicates how the media elites view all gun owners.
“More to the point, the media has given more favorable coverage to rioters and looters over the past several months than to gun owners who appear to be protecting their lives from violent attackers. The media excuses the violent torching of American cities as ‘mostly peaceful’ protests. And they now minimize the hatefulness of Kyle’s attackers, calling them mere ‘protesters.’
“But if Leftists want to question why Kyle Rittenhouse was in Kenosha, then they should begin by asking that question to the ‘protesters’ who have criminal records and who have come from out of town to terrorize business owners.
“The bottom line is this: every human being has a God-given right to protect themselves. And when a person’s life is under attack, the Constitution protects their ability to use firearms without ‘infringement’ in the defense of that life.”

“From my standpoint, it’s important that the message be clear to other Americans who are attacked that there will be legal resources available in the event false charges are brought against them,” he said. “Americans should never be deterred from exercising their right of self-defense.”
And video of the amp'd up Rosenbaum is going to come in, as is the New Lefty's Twitter comments to his buddy at the hospital that his regret is that he didn't kill Rittenhouse, that he hesitated and didn't dump the whole mag into him - count on it.

This is about as clear-cut case of self defense as you can get: He tried to break contact, even RAN from those assaulting him; he only fired after he was targeted and battered by weapon(s) (skateboard, capable of inflicting grievous bodily injury); he only shot those attacking him with no unnecessary or errant rounds; no collateral damage.
Good, clean shoot.
I hope we are looking at the next Nick Sandman.
From all I can gather on this subject, it appears that the 'official' place to contribute to this young man's cause is here. (https://fightback.law/)

Coincidentally the Nick Sandemans attorney is participating in Kyle's defense!

After slow-motion analysis, I am thoroughly impressed! Let's review:
Three thugs just assaulted and battered the kid. His adrenaline level is at top fight/flight survival mode state. Suddenly another thug came close, feigned a surrender, pulled a pistol, and pointed it point blank. The kid's defensive shot only ventilated the thug's upper arm. He turned away while STILL holding the pistol. The thug could have switched the pistol to left hand, turned around, and engaged the kid. I wonder if I would have the presence of mind to show mercy and not eliminate the IMMINENT threat*. Then another person approached with hands raised. He could have feigned surrender too! Kid did not engage, got up, and walked to the police cars to turn himself in.
*thankfully lefty did not have the will power to stay in the fight. His toughness only came out afterwards when he was safe inside a hospital, bragging about wanting to empty his magazine at the kid.
I hope one day the brave kid gives interview of what transpired and what went through his mind, just like how the Marine who secured the stolen police AR.

The last one should have received a double tap..
He didn't drop the pistol
He didn't fall unconscious
He was still a threat

I've been reminding people that the lefties started the shooting three years ago, June 14, 2017, in Alexandria, VA.

Well I ll be darned to find this elaborate, objective analysis on arfdotcom!
Turns out lefty was feigning surrender WHILE holding pistol. What on earth!?!
AND he didn’t get ventilated then.
He really had the choice to disengage.
He chose poorly

That's the most detailed analysis that I've seen so far. Thanks for posting it.

Frostfire, thanks very much for posting that. Lines up with my thoughts very closely and provides some answers to open questions I still had. Also provided some relevant info not said anywhere else that may provide him a solid defense.
I think at the end of the day (trial) no man or woman will find him “guilty” of anything.
Lesson for all, (as I remember from my training masters) if you are going to stop and render aid/assistance at a calamity...park beyond it and walk back. So when everything is done you can be the hero no one noticed and you don’t have to navigate around the emergency vehicles to leave.
I’d add, no one in a situation like this is your friend and certainly not someone with “Press” painted on their black hoodie. Speaking of hoodies wear a mask, and all other non-descript clothing and headgear...be able to return to you vehicle past the emergency ones and drive away the unknown hero.
Antifa and BLM have their roots in the Weathermen Underground. There are two movies out about them and you should watch them.
They considered themselves the 5th Column of the NVA.

Search the forbidden zone for the other.
There is some speculation that the Leftists fired first at Kent State.

Mr. Gaige Grosskreutz even admitted to his friend that he his only regret is not killing the kid and hesitating to pull the gun before emptying the entire mag into him." Gaige is part of the People's Revolution Movement of Milwaukee...
It is too bad Kyle didn't get that double and triple tap on Grosskreutz one less commie in the world.

Kyle Rittenhouse Lawyers: He Is No Racist; Exercised Right to Self-Defense
JOEL B. POLLAK28 Aug 2020
Breitbart
Lawyers for Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old who allegedly shot three and killed two people during a riot in Kenosha, Wisconsin, this week, issued a lengthy statement Friday evening after delaying his extradition from Illinois to face trial for murder.
“Kyle did nothing wrong,” attorney John Pierce of Pierce Bainbridge wrote. “He exercised his God-given, Constitutional, common law and statutory law right to self-defense.”
In his statement, Pierce claimed that Rittenhouse had been asked by a local auto dealer to protect the premises from rioters. He suggested that before the shooting incident, Rittenhouse had provided first aid to protesters who had been injured.
Later, Pierce wrote, Rittenhouse was “accosted by multiple rioters who recognized that he had been attempting to protect a business the mob wanted to destroy.” That, he said, led to the violent confrontations that followed.
Pierce concluded:
A 17-year old child should not have to take up arms in America to protect life and property. That is the job of state and local governments. However, those governments have failed, and law-abiding citizens have no choice but to protect their own communities as their forefathers did at Lexington and Concord in 1775. Kyle is not a racist or a white supremacist. He is a brave, patriotic, compassionate law-abiding American who loves his country and his community. He did nothing wrong. He defended himself, which is a fundamental right of all Americans given by God and protected by law. He is now in the crosshairs of institutional forces that are much more powerful than him. But he will stand up to them and fight not only for himself, but for all Americans and their beloved Constitution. We will never leave his side until he is victorious in that fight.

Thanks very much; will check out during my AM "route" and is at top of the list.
I'm very glad that - judging from the language used - someone is there to not only take that stand & approach, but it sounds like they are resolved to gird up this young man who must feel as if his world was crashing off the cliff; that he's not alone. That is a huge thing, as well as a testament to the cowardice of the civil authorities, all the way up to the pasty-assed governor.
I'd also lay money that in many cities & towns throughout deplorable land, LL's are being noted that have neighbors resolving to always be in pairs or larger.

Errata:
When you start manufacturing facts to support false accusations, you get into trouble under the law of defamation. Kyle did not carry a gun across state lines. The gun belonged to his friend, a Wisconsin resident. The gun never left the State of Wisconsin.
Truth always prevails.
