Deepest condolences to family and friends

MSG Mark Allen passed away today. His family is asking for their own time to grieve but more information will be put out at a later date.

SFC Allen, assigned to the 48th BCT, was wounded in Afghanistan on July 8th, 2009.

SFC Allen’s Unit was assigned to conduct a search of an area for deserter Bowe Bergdahl, while dismounted SFC Allen was shot in the head by a sniper.

We wish to send our condolences to MSG Allen’s family.

RIP. As well as prayers for the family who stuck in there. FNC picked this up (https://www.foxnews.com/us/master-sgt-mark-allen-dies-10-years-after-being-shot-in-head-while-looking-for-army-deserter) as well.
