I recently became aware of Arcadia Power on the NextDoor app when a subscriber posted a complaint about their utility bill and inquired if Arcadia Power had garnered any savings for subscribers on their utility bill.

https://www.arcadiapower.com

Arcadia Power is a clean energy company of sorts. On the surface they offer subscribers the opportunity to use clean energy instead of fossil fuels, and they accomplish this by getting access to subscribers utility accounts and having the scribers pay their utility bill through Arcadia Power. If I understand this correctly when a subscriber pays through Arcadia, Arcadia then purchases a Renewable Energy Credit on behalf of the subscriber.........kind of sounds like Al Gore's Carbon Credit Scam.

Digging deeper in to the companies leadership (https://www.arcadiapower.com/about-us/) I found a lot of ties to the Clinton and Obama Administrations and liberal media. The Co-Founder and CEO is on the board of wacko NGO Environmental Voter Project (https://www.environmentalvoter.org). The VP of Corporate Strategy & Business Development Zach Axelrod (kin to David Axelrod???) is an 'Advisor' at Blue Whale Material (http://https://bluewhalematerials.com/team) which also has former Obama appointee Carol Browner as an 'Advisor'. And several members of the Arcadia Leadership Team previously worked for Ezra Klein's Vox Media (https://www.vox.com).

I am hoping some of you might have experience and possibly shed some additional light on a company named Arcadia Power and the purpose of REC's.

I also would dig deeper, IF I were interested 30 seconds later. It sounds like using proxies (you) to purchase some "commodity" that they're banking on. Also, what a hipster-cool model for a money-laundering operation; man those Clintonistas are creative. But I have to go with my gut so, in short....

Scam.

As an aside, David Axelrod doesn't have any children or siblings named Zach.

I vote SCAM after doing some searching.

Why do I need someone else to pay when I can do it in one click?

Wonder whose closet this server is hidden in....

How about Grand children or nephews :D

You and I were strolling down the similar path of proxies, or maybe a broker of sorts. The idea of money laundering hadn't crossed my mind, but that is definitely another possibility. And like BHT I was curious as to why I or anyone else would require 3rd Party to pay my bill through.

Digging a bit deeper I found that most of these people live in liberal bastions of DC , Mass and a few in Kalifornia.

Another interesting aspect of this is how topic on the forum took shape and progressed. It started with someone complaining about a utility bill and inquiring about Arcadia with a hint of possible cost savings. From there several chimed in that there were happy customers and doing their part to save the planet.......but no-one mentioned any cost savings. Several people with common sense mentioned that the Even Pay Plan is available, but their suggestion fell on deaf ears.

From there several chimed in...doing their part to save the planet.......Those sound like plants, just like trolls on a bulletin-board site, or the people who work for an auction site whose purpose is to bid something up.

Also, the virtue-signalling from them you mentioned... sounds like they're covering all the bases.
