I just bought one using my retiree discount - 2100 bucks and free shipping. The scope is fucking awesome - the ultra-bright apochromatic fluorite glass is hands down -THE BEST GLASS since Swarovski made their first champagne flute. The adjustments are incredible with 1/32 minute of angle clicks if you opt for the upgraded 6-24x72mm version of the scope. The contrast throughout the entire magnification range is simply without equal.
Now for a few of the problems you can expect when you shell out north of two grand for this 'smart-scope' piece of art...
...when I woke up the next morning, the scope had drunk-dialed my ex-wife
...my credit card information had been compromised
...my computer was full of malware and viruses
...my dog was pregnant
...there was hair gel all over the bathroom sink
...the scope donated money to the Clinton Foundation
...somehow I had YUGE sideburns
...my printer was out of ink because the scope printed a 250 page book chronicling its "time in the teams"
all in all - if you can stomach the attitude that you get from the scope- it is well wroth the price - I just wish it came with a 'mute' button
