Two political action committees founded by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s top aide funneled over $1 million in political donations into two of his own private companies, according to a complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission on Monday.
The cash transfers from the PACs — overseen by Saikat Chakrabarti, the freshman socialist Democrat's chief of staff — run counter to her pledges to increase transparency and reduce the influence of "dark money" in politics.
Chakrabarti's companies appear to have been set up for the sole purpose of obscuring how the political donations were used.
The arrangement skirted reporting requirements and may have violated the $5,000 limit on contributions from federal PACs to candidates, according to the complaint filed by the National Legal and Policy Center, a government watchdog group.
Campaign finance attorneys described the arrangement as “really weird” and an indication "there’s something amiss." They said there was no way of telling where the political donations went — meaning they could have been pocketed or used by the company to pay for off-the-books campaign operations.
PACs are required to disclose how and when funds are spent, including for expenditures such as advertisements, fundraising emails, donations to candidates, and payments for events and to vendors.

I'm guessing that Nancy will feed AOC to the dogs. AOC has ruffled a lot of old school and moderate Dems and they are not happy that she is jumping to the head of the line as the Self-Professed Leader of the SJW's.
The good old boys in the moderate South do not want to go into 2020 pushing an anti-christian, anti-gun agenda.
That and the shit-storm she whipped up over Amazon headquarters has made her a large embarrassment to the NY Left.

Ouija board is put away, so let's just see what the Magic 8-ball says:
1. Nothing will happen to the crazy-eyed bartender elected by her crazy supporters. (She may get a chance to enjoy some WWC with Speaker of the House Bride of Frankenstein.)
2. The FEC will extract a fine from the CoS, who will admit he was simply ignorant when he thought he was setting up a means to help other radically progressive campaigns around the country. The FEC may demand that he remove himself from any dealings with campaign funds/PACs for simply being really stupid. (Worked for HRC.)
3. The FEC thinks Americans will buy this hook, line & sinker. Pravda & Izvestia will collaborate in selling this as a big nothing-burger. "... coming up after the break, the latest on the Mueller investigation."
4. Judicial Watch will continue trying to get documents; since it's 15 minutes later, Americans don't care. The couple of dozen deplorables that get a window into how someone in Congress can get rich in the first 60 days in office aren't enough to sway anyone. (see #3 above)

I think if the left decided to politically off the heads of their two craziest new members - it would win them the 2020 election.
That would be the hole card - "see we arent crazy - we hate crazy".
The moderates would have a renewed faith in the left because it would show that they aren't riding a runaway train.
I'm hopeful that the train has already left the station since the class clowns in Virginia got off without a single day of detention. Embrace the crazy because it is the only hope of survival for conservatives - if the dem's ever decide to fight back against the crazy, the republicans are done for. The next election could very much be won by the candidate most willing to get in the octagon with crazy.

Well, the way I hear it, nowadays, there is TX and then there is Austin & a couple other cities that are their own metro-SJW haven.
I think you're right about their little internal coup; the old guard in that party aren't going gently into that good night - unless they're Seth Rich'd.
Chakrabarti told the magazine, “We spent the weekend learning how to put laws together. We looked up how to write resolutions.” Everybody involved in drafting the document was doing it for the first time. Hopefully they will also experience first-hand success.

I watched this episode based on your mention, thank you. I'll watch the others later. It was informative to see that this freedom of outcome vs freedom of opportunity argument is not a new one. Have Friedman and Sewels positions reached an expanding audience or a shrinking one?
It was also informative to hear Sewel state that a statistical majority of blacks opposed affirmative action.
