After 6 years of not fishing, I finally solved that last week with a one day drift boat trip on Oregon's McKenzie River with my longtime friend and river guide.
Late October for trout can be a little tough, I managed to accidentally hook one on a dry fly as seen in my friends net.
19 inch fish as measured, caught on a Parachute Adams size 12. We didn't see anyone else fishing that day.
Awesome, Congratulation, Bill

Gorgeous example! And on a dry fly will make your day x2.

Nice one!
Grilled with butter and lemon, a sprinkle of dill, over rice?
And a fine Chianti?

Don't let Harsey fool you. He knows a thing or two about a thing or two about fly fishing. He tied all these flies himself, but his security was poor and I managed to liberate them from his shop. Don't tell him.
Yes, I know this thread is two years old. Whatcha gonna do, send me back to Iraq?
