People probably have forgotten about me, but I came to this forum and asked about what would people think if I, someone born in China, make it to the team. I was worried if people would look down on me or just straight up not trust me for being born in China. I really appreciated the replies I received at the time and I remember Team Sergeant wished me good luck "because I'm going to need it". It was two years ago.
I did need it. Staying in this country legally nowadays is near impossible as someone born in China with no relative in the US and doesn't have 1 million dollars sitting around for me to burn. Not to mention to do so before I get too old for military service, but I did it nonetheless.
I'm now on track to get my green card next year, and after that, I'll finally become eligible for enlistment. There's still a long road in front of me and I don't know if I'll ever make it to the team at all, but at least I'll get a chance. I'm only 21 and I still have time to work on whatever I'd need to work on, and even if I don't make it to the SF, there'll be something for me to do in the Army.
Again, just would like to thank everyone for the reply to that post two years ago. Really meant a lot to me.
