In all of those pics, the one thing I noticed.....

...she was never photographed sitting on an NVA ZPU-23-2!

Classy lady! Why did we never hear about her, why does she without a name ALWAYS take 1st seat to wonderful patriotic women like this?

Why didn't you know about her...because she wasn't a protestor … simple.

She was a war monger simply for being a friend to GI's when they needed them.

Man, you old FOGs had it great. Women were woman back then and men chased after them, pinned them up over their bunk and did unimaginable things with their imagination and a free hand! :D

She’s dedicated her life to helping GI’s, what a wonderful and beautiful person. Reading her bio https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0633867/bio shows what sacrifices she made in not only the demise of her Hollywood career but the dedication to serving the military in times of war and after.

...frequently flying to that war-torn country and visiting remote areas considered too risky for Bob Hope's USO shows.

A buddy of mine at Ft. Huachuca had been in VN with the 1st ID. He said that one day a Huey arrived with new clothing, boots, and shaving gear. They were told that Bob Hope and some entertainers were coming for a visit. Out in the bush, they bathed and got all garrisoned up and strack. They were all at the LZ to help with any gear and assist the girls off the bird. The Huey flew over and they saw little hands waving out the doors. And it kept right on flying. It didn't even circle.

Wow...she reminds me of the young Lynne Anderson in those photos. What a remarkable woman to give so much time for all those young men. They definitely needed all the support during that era in time; she really did a lot for servicemen during Vietnam. A different breed than most of the Hollyweird actresses today. Thanks for the post :o
