Wanted to see if anyone knew about any hunting leases / available land in the San Antonio area.

I'm a fairly novice hunter, would want to harvest 3-4 boar and a couple of deer per year. I still work full time (and am deployed right now) so would not be able to get away much more than that.

I'm open to either paying to join a group hunting lease, or if someone owns suitable land I'll help with some sweat equity for improvements and such.

Anyone know of such opportunities?

Sorry I cannot help you. The only hunting I ever did in the San Antonio area was hunting for pussy when I went to 91B school and 300F1.

Rich, I'm in the same boat. In fact, I'll jump in with you if you need another body. So far I've been unsuccessful in finding anything to shoot around here. I'll redouble my efforts.

I'll ask around the people in my area who hunt. I know some of them go to leases in south Texas to hunt.

My mother lives adjacent to Camp Stanley/Bullis. Its been awhile but I used to hunt on Bullis. Used to have go to Ft Sam Houston to get post permit to hunt there.

It looks like Bullis is bowhunting only now, except for one or 2 areas that allow shotguns.

There are a boat load of places to hunt around here. If you are wealthy and dont mind dropping a couple of thou <g>.

I did find one place that is more reasonably priced: https://www.independenceranch.com/hog-hunting

I think this may be my go-to if I dont have any other luck at finding land... Still, it'll wind up being a couple of hundred bucks per Hog factoring in the cleaning rates & such. Damn, I thought those things were considered pests <g>.
