More evidence supporting the call to secure our borders.

Departments of Justice and Homeland Security Release Data on Incarcerated Aliens—94 Percent of All Confirmed Aliens in DOJ Custody Are Unlawfully Present

President Trump’s Executive Order on Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States requires the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to collect relevant data and provide quarterly reports on data collection efforts. On Dec. 18, 2017, DOJ and DHS released the FY 2017 4th Quarter Alien Incarceration Report, complying with this order.[1] The report found that more than one-in-five of all persons in Bureau of Prisons custody were foreign born, and that 94 percent of confirmed aliens in custody were unlawfully present.

"The American people deserve a lawful system of immigration that serves the national interest," Attorney General Sessions said. "But at the border and in communities across America, our citizens are being victimized by illegal aliens who commit crimes. Nearly 95 percent of confirmed aliens in our federal prisons are here illegally. We know based on sentencing data that non-citizens commit a substantially disproportionate number of drug-related offenses, which contributes to our national drug abuse crisis. The simple fact is that any offense committed by a criminal alien is ultimately preventable. One victim is too many. It's time for Congress to enact the President's immigration reform agenda so that we start welcoming the best and brightest while turning away drug dealers, gang members, and other criminals."

“While the administration is working diligently to remove dangerous criminal aliens from our streets, this report highlights the fact that more must be done,” said Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen. “We will continue to pursue President Trump’s immigration priorities, including securing the border, enhancing interior enforcement, and pursuing a merit-based immigration system, but Congress must act immediately to adopt obvious solutions to strengthen DHS and DOJ efforts to confront dangerous criminal aliens.”

Nearly 95 Percent of Foreign Nationals in Federal Prison Are Illegal Aliens

by John Binder21 Dec 2017Washington, D.C.

The vast majority of foreign nationals sitting in American federal prisons are illegal aliens, the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revealed in a year-end report.

According to newly released data, nearly 95 percent of all foreign nationals in DOJ custody are illegal aliens in the U.S. In total, there are 58,766 known or suspected foreign nationals in federal prisons at the end of the 2017 Fiscal Year. This includes 39,455 foreign nationals who are in Bureau of Prisons (BOP) custody and 19,311 foreign nationals under U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) supervision.
Of the nearly 60,000 known or suspected foreign nationals in federal prisons, approximately 37,557 have already been confirmed to be foreign nationals by the Immigration and Customs (ICE) enforcement. The other more than 21,000 foreign-born inmates are still under ICE investigation.

A total of 35,334 inmates of the 37,557 foreign nationals identified by ICE are illegal aliens, making up nearly 95 percent of all foreign nationals in federal prisons. This includes 92 percent of foreign nationals in BOP custody and 97 percent of foreign nationals in USMS custody.

"Ship them back" that is a great idea! I have no idea as to the cost per prisoner to house these individuals but it has to be staggering. Deport and BUILD THAT WALL.

May (I think) 1980, I was on leave. Received a phone call from the 1-505 Battalion CQ, “Return immediately and upon return report to the Battalion Commander”.

I return and headed straight to the battalion HQ. Walked in and was sent to see the BN CDR. “CPL, I was told you are a graduate of the Special Forces Sniper school, is that correct? Good, you’re now the battalion sniper commander, pick a team of six snipers and get ready. Have your company commander tell me what you need for that team. This is real, and we are leaving in 24 hours.”

Next stop, Ft. Indiantown Gap, PA. to watch Cubans. Besides the federal agents, I/we were the only ones armed…….. We all returned none worse for wear, can’t say that about the Cubans. Many of the former prisoners thought they could easily escape, and many did get past the MP’s, none got past the airborne infantry waiting for them in the wood line (night and day)………………… was an interesting few weeks.:munchin
