For a number of years, Max Chip William Bayless, has represented himself as prior service SF (claims 10th and 7th Groups), CAG, and agency. He currently owns One21 Group and has owned a number of businesses going back to at least 2006, one of which, Diplomat Armored Car Rentals, is advertised as Veteran Owned.
An extremely high powered consulting firm in Vienna VA, specializing in National Security, International Affairs & Foreign Policy, Energy Security, and Leadership Consulting Services, retained and utilized Bayless as a security expert for the last few years. The firm fired Bayless a few weeks back when his fraud came to light.
Everything began to unravel for Bayless when he secured a security contract in Puerto Rico and employed a number of legitimate SF, Seal, Force Recon, and Ranger vets. Bayless told many of the personnel stories of his exploits with Delta in Afghanistan and Iraq, and did his best to convince people that he had served with them “down range”.
Through POW Network, a Freedom of Information Act request for Bayless’ military records was generated. The response came back that this individual had never served in the military.
We are doing our best to find out everything we can about this bottom feeder, expose him, and make sure that he suffers. If you have any additional information on Bayless, please input it into this thread or send via PM.

Max Chip William Bayless. Fraud SF. Fraud CAG. Fraud agency. Covering his tracks. His One21 Group website is shut down as of today. He needs to be on the radar because he always pops back up with a different company.
Keep running Bayless...

It appears that fraud Max Chip William Bayless is trying to cover his tracks. In the last week he has shut down the websites for his One21 Group and his bogus charity, the International Harbor Foundation.
He conned MOH recipient Dakota Meyer into being a spokesman for the "foundation".
Below is a link to an article about Meyer and the foundation. Throughout the article there are claims that the foundation was started and operated by SF and Delta vets. It has been proven that Bayless did not serve a day in the military.
Some quotes from the article:
"...the International Harbor Foundation, a non-profit group of special forces vets dedicated to busting human traffickers."
"In 2015, a group of special forces veterans came together to create International Harbor Foundation..."
"“As a new father and veteran, this cause is especially important to me,” Meyer said in a statement. “These Special Forces veterans and I fought for freedom, under direct orders, around the Globe."
"A lot of our guys are former Delta, and Delta is a quick response team.."

I am posting screenshots of the profile before it is taken off line. He lists himself as a Senior Advisor at Jones Group and CEO at International Harbor Foundation.

Previous to One21 Group, fraud "operator" Bayless owned SpecOps Service. Until this week, the website for this company was active, however it has been shut down along with One21 Group and International Harbor Foundation. Thankfully the FBI IT investigators are smarter than Bayless when they start digging.
Attached are three marketing PDFs for SpecOps Service and a screenshot of his FB page.

LHC

LHC: The guys that worked for One21 in PR and other places are legit. Many of the guys on the job either knew each other from when they were wearing the green suit or the contracting world. Jones Group International are very legit.

I cannot speak for all of the connections on LinkedIn, but my take on this is that Bayless is a master scam artist and king networker. JGI did not vet him a few years back when he started working for them and I do not know how he got in the door there but he used his connection to JGI to make himself look legit and built his network of connections through that association. He was a Senior Security Advisor to a former National Security Advisor's company, so of course, people assumed he was legit.
Hell, he conned MOH recipient Meyer to be the spokesman for his International Harbor Foundation.

That is the long answer. Short answer is that he used his association with JGI to establish credibility and kept building on the connections he made through networking.
