Nice to see the first piece of art pop-up depicting a well-known painting of Virginia Hall (in July 1944) who was quite the trooper. Lost lower part of a leg in a hunting accident in the 30's that ditched her prospects for a diplomatic career; joined French Army in 1940. Recruited by SOE 1940 posing as a journalist, exfiltrated 1942 thru Spain. Then audited a SOE/OSS radio course & went back in supporting the FFI and running the SAINT net; nom de guerre 'DIANE'. She stayed in the intelligence trade & passed in her home state of Maryland in 1982.

"What? Only 12 wpm? Get on the bicycle; you crank."

Vintage Echo geeks: The set is a Type III Mark II. 20w, crystals from 3.3 - 16MHz. (Makes that little Elecraft look pretty good, eh?)
