This is not someone I want in the chain of command at the VA overseeing the health and well being of our armed forces members.
Former AF Colonel and now a professor at Standford.
He's a US Air Farce Alumnus. The only organization in the military where they'll give a 1st LT the keys to a $50M aircraft with a nuclear weapon on board but he/she has to have an AP escort to draw a .38 Special from the arms room so he/she will have something to defend themselves with if they get shot down.

Not the VA - he's being vetted to become the ASD/HA in charge of the Military Health System - the hospitals and other medical facilities/functions of the DoD.

Projecting? You betcha. That guy's view belongs in Hollyweird writing the pap that comes out of the mouths of TV doctors when they need to slip in some pontificating message to the people who still think CNN is a "thing."
